Unknown Relative Reunion

Grace was somewhat worried about Brinley's studies and her future work life, so she added some conditions to accept Brinley and Adam's relationship.

"Brinley has to reach 21 or 22 years age before any marriage talks, Brinley you have to devote your full attention in studies and graduate successfully, you have to work for at least one or two years before getting married and last but not the least, Adam you have to support her studies and work before her marriage. If you both agree to these terms then only I will approve of this relationship or else forget it." Grace said in a stern voice. Brinley and Adam looked at each other and nodded at the same time.

"Don't worry Mrs. Moretti, I will make sure she is studying well, and I won't let our relationship interfere in her study and work life." Adam said assuring Grace.

"Yes Mom, I also won't disturb Adam in his work and study properly, I swear." Grace nodded in approval.

"Don't call me Mrs. Moretti, you are a part of our family since ages now. Call me Grace or Mother would also do for me. It'll make me happy." Adam and Brinley smiled.

"Yes Mother. Thank you for everything." Adam said and hugged Grace. He then hugged Xavier and Derek too as they played a major role in bringing them together.

Amelia yawned as she slumped on her desk, tired and bored by listening to an old man giving lecture of historical facts and artifacts. Amelia got a notification on her phone, she took her phone out of her bag and saw it was Brinley's message. They both started chatting with each other.

"Hi Amelia, hope you're doing great. Is your injury fine now?😥"

"Hi Brinley, I'm great and yes the wound is now partially healed, it needs some time to completely get healed, but it's fine now. How're you? How was your trip to Dubai?😏"

"Yeah trip was okay-okay, but I messaged you to inform you something... Adam and I got engaged today☺️🥰"

"WTF!? Is this a prank!?😯"

"Nope. It's not. We're really engaged. So we have decided to throw a small party this weekend. Both you and Gianna are warmly invited. I will send invitation cards soon in one or two days, please come okay?" Brinley seemed very excited.

"Wow... romance season is going on or what?"

"Why? Are you also dating someone?"

"Noo... it's Gianna! Gianna and Xavier are dating, don't you know this??"

"Now this is news to me. Amelia, it must be a misunderstanding, I'm telling you. MY brother? Dating? NAH! Not in a million years. Not possible."

"It's trueee!! Call your brother to reconfirm if you don't believe me🙄"

Brinley greeted a small goodbye via text message and instantly called Xavier who had earlier left for office. As soon as he picked up the call, she screeched loudly.

"Fratello!! Are you dating Gianna!?"

"Brinley what kind of manners is this... no Hi, no hello, is this how you should talk on a call?"

"And is this how you should hide your relationship from me!? I am your dearest, little, sweet, innocent, beautiful, obedient sister, you hid something this big from me!?" Xavier sighed listening to her exaggerated commentaries.

"Yes I am dating her. Happy? It's not my fault that you don't know... it was already all over media, you didn't see news or newspaper, how is that my fault? This is the reason why I asked Adam to hire professional hackers to remove any news from online sites and news webpages." Xavier explained and Brinley gasped.

"How deeply immersed I was in a lake full of water that I didn't know even a speck of all these things. Adam must have felt very bad when I accused him of doing something he won't even dare to think of." Brinley said and sighed. Xavier chuckled.

"It's fine Brinley, I know Adam, he won't mind. At least he knows that you get jealous of other women being near him." Xavier said while smirking as he looked at Adam sitting in front of him blushing like a tomato.

"Charlie slow down, we both will fall down if you run faster than this." Gianna said as she gasped for air while rushing behind Charlie as he excitedly ran around the park.

"Charlie, these days you don't listen to me at all!" Gianna exclaimed and huffed.

"Woof! WOOF!" Charlie barked at Gianna and slowed down as if he understood each and every word Gianna said. Gianna rubbed his hair and gave him a kiss on his head.

"Arf! Arrf!" Charlie barked as if asking for more kisses on his head. Gianna giggled and gave him a kiss again. She took out a ball from her shoulder bag and offered it to Charlie, for him to smell it. She then threw it a little far. Charlie ran very fast to catch hold of the ball.

Meanwhile, a man who was staring at Gianna from a distance, slowly approached her. Charlie was busy finding his ball in the bushes of grass in the park. The man approached her and tapped her shoulder.

"Miss can you help me?" He said, Gianna got shocked for a second but nodded.

"Miss I have been finding my niece since a very long time, she has the same eye and hair color like you. Are you daughter of Ms. Allen? She used to love baking, cooking, make different coffees and loved animals a lot." He asked and Gianna gasped in shock and nodded.

"Dear, I have been trying to search you and your sister since ages now, you both had shifted cities I see. I was in South Africa for work for 5 years but when I came back, I came to know about your parent's death and your eyesight, but I was not able to find you both. Please come with me, I will adopt you both and take proper care of you both, I promise." He said bringing Gianna in tough situation. Charlie came running back with a ball in his mouth, but he started growling in anger as soon as he spotted a stranger near Gianna.

The men Xavier had appointed to keep Gianna safe and protect her from distance also notified Xavier of a strange man approaching Gianna. Xavier left all his work to Adam and rushed out of his office.

"Uncle, thank you for being kind, but we're doing great by ourselves, we don't find it necessary for us to get adopted. Soon Amelia is also going to get an official job after her studies get completed, and I have a café which I run and earn enough for both of us." Gianna said. Though she had to reopen her café, but she had enough expenses to survive for few months from the rent she got from Gretta.

"Gianna take this card. Don't rush your decision and think about it again, let me know by calling me on this number." He gave a card to Gianna, placing it in her hand and left from there as soon as possible as he had already spotted Moretti's car approaching the park from distance. Gianna stood there flabbergasted and touched the card, stroking it. Charlie barked and growled at the man going away from them.

Xavier soon parked his car and came to Gianna hugging her instantly as soon as he saw her. Gianna inhaled his cologne and hugged him back. No words were required to express their feelings what they were experiencing at that time. Gianna, shocked and Xavier, scared.

They both stood in the same position for a while before Gianna moved away from him and wiped her tears. Charlie barked and rubbed himself on Gianna's leg and then on Xavier's leg as if calming both of them down. Charlie sat down quietly.

"How did you know I was here?" Gianna asked him.

"I don't know how should I answer that question but tell me did that man do anything to you!? Did he say something!?" Xavier asked in a very worried tone.

"He was my Uncle. He coincidently found me today and offered for me and Ami to get adopted by him. Here, he gave me this card to contact him to let him know my decision." Gianna explained and Xavier took the card from her.

"Robert Allen... I have heard this name before." Xavier whispered.

"Huh? What did you say?" Gianna asked in confusion as she wasn't able to hear.

"Nothing. It's good that you are unharmed." Xavier sighed and took a photo of the card silently from his phone. He gave the card back to her.

"So what have you decided? Will you get adopted?" Xavier asked her.

"No Xavier. I am nearly in the age of getting married. Why would I want to get adopted or be in contact with someone who I had never met?" Gianna said stating the obvious.

"What do you mean? You'll marry me right? It's me. One and only me for you, remember this." Xavier said in a serious tone making Gianna giggle.

"Obsessive much?"

"Very much, love." Xavier said and hugged her again. But then he remembered, they were in a public place, in risk of being caught again by paparazzi.

"Let's go, let me take you and Charlie out on a date today." Xavier said tugging Charlie's belt lightly to make him stand up and getting hold of Gianna's hand. They went to his car and left from there. Robert Allen was watching both of them from a far distance. He concluded that they both were dating, which might become troublesome for him. He had to solve everything now differently, with a new plan. He called his son and told him to arrange and appoint strong men for his next mission. He smirked while staring Gianna sit inside Xavier's car and drove away from there, while thinking about his new plan.
