Kiss, Anger And Confusion

~After a month~

The university was busy with cheerful chattering going around the whole campus, everyone was overjoyed and excited for upcoming events, the university was organizing a big carnival. But there was someone sitting on a rooftop of the building, looking at the happy people buzzing around below her. She sighed and sipped the beer from the chilled can she was holding."Alcohol is bad for kids." Max taunted as he came from behind. Amelia scoffed and flicked her head in sarcasm. She stood silently watching the crowds. "Are you depressed, right now? Where did our little tigress disappear!?" Colten said, as he also came with Lucas and Hayley. Apparently, Lucas and Hayley are a couple, so they were inseparable. Amelia let out a big sigh and turned to look at her friends. She gave them a big, long look before scoffing again and looking away."What? What's up with you?" Hayley asked curiously."Well... I don't remember calling a group meeting or gathering? Why are you all here?" Amelia asked them slightly in a rude manner."Are you sad about Derek? I heard right now from someone, he received an opportunity to complete his Masters and PhD in Business and Management Science in Norway, and he has accepted the offer!" Colten said, and Amelia looked at him in shock."Is this for real!?" Amelia exclaimed, Colten nodded in approval. Amelia left the rooftop railing she was holding and crushed the can in her hand. She was about to turn to leave and go find him, yet she saw a scene unfolding in the middle of campus, which made her still in her place. Derek and a girl with hazel hair, just like Amelia, were standing in the middle of the crowd. The girl was speaking something with excitement, and the whole crowd started chanting 'kiss, kiss, kiss!' Amelia crushed the can even more, letting it crumble badly, and the remaining beer spilled out on the floor. Max and Colten chuckled, looking at the crowd.Unexpectedly, Derek looked up for a second, as if he knew the familiar stare, his eyes met Amelia's burning stare. He turned his head back at the woman, and in an instant brought her near, kissing the life out of her.Amelia, felt this strange pang in her chest and she brought her hand high in the sky to throw the can towards them, but Lucas and Colten stopped her, and took the can away from her hand. Hayley brought her away from the railing, in fear of her falling down. The whole crowd cheered, but Derek yanked away from her and rubbed his lips harshly in disgust. The woman got mad and stomped her leg. Derek spitted out some saliva and went away from the crowd in an instant. Amelia unfortunately didn't witness, him yanking away and spitting, in a fit of her rage. The crowd started gossiping about how the woman got dumped by Derek after getting kissed. Apparently, she had confessed to him, and in a fit of rage towards Amelia, he kissed her. Which was confusing for both of them. Amelia being confused by her feelings and Derek being confused as to why must he do these things when he's about to leave the country for years!"I hate him!" Amelia exclaimed as she frowned, remembering them kissing each other!"Hey Max? Do you smell something burning?" Colten asked Max in a serious tone, making him shake his head, whereas Lucas and Hayley were holding their lips tightly to control their laugh."Shut up! Stupid pig!" Amelia screamed and stomped out of the rooftop. Everyone remaining laughed, yet the laugh soon died as they remembered Derek was about to leave in a few days, after his graduation."I hope they mend their relationship before parting ways from each other." Hayley said, and Max nodded in approval.Derek looked at the roof from the corridor, Amelia was not there. He felt he should be satisfied but that definitely was not satisfaction, which he felt when he glanced at the torn look Amelia had when he had kissed someone. He went back to home and sat on his room's couch to arrange his messed up thoughts which were pestering him these days.--"Feel this fabric! It's so soft, Giannaaaa!" Brinley screeched in excitement, making Gianna smile awkwardly. "Why have you tagged along, like a third wheel, in our private moment!" Xavier exclaimed sternly."Then how am I supposed to select the best for my sister-in-law!?" Brinley said in an equal stern manner, challenging Xavier."You-!" Xavier was about to scold her, when Gianna tugged his suit lightly. She smiled and searched for Brinley's head. Gianna softly rubbed her head and gave her should a side-hug."Thank you, honey. It's good that you came, you have a great sense of fashion, I have heard from everyone! I wish Amelia had also accompanied us, but unfortunately today, she has to submit her assignments and attend important lectures." Gianna said. Xavier frowned silently wishing to get called by some endearments too. Brinley noticed this and stuck out her tongue to tease him, which made him scoff."Go! Go, Gianna, try this one! And this one too! You should take these two also!" Brinley said excitedly."Oh god, my soul might leave my body after trying these many dresses." Gianna said, but she was suddenly hugged by Xavier."Don't! Don't ever utter such nonsense ever again! I swear, I will not forgive you easily." Xavier said in a low and harsh tone, making her shiver a bit. She patted his back softly, and smiled silently, as if understanding his opinion and agreeing to his condition."I love you, Darling." Gianna whispered and went rushing away with a store helper to get dressed. Brinley smiled and nudged her elbow on his arm teasingly. He silently sat on the luxurious couch, waiting for his bride-to-be.Yes, they were planning to get married in a few days before Derek goes away. The things got rushed between them, but the feelings had grown stronger and sturdier, pledging to never break their bond ever again. So yes, with the approval of elders, and mutual agreement, both came to a decision to tie their relation for eternity."How do I look?" Gianna said after clearing her throat, gaining both of their attention."Gorgeous!" Brinley yelped. But Xavier stayed silent. He took his sweet time to stare at Gianna, dressed in a bridal attire, looking like a princess."I need something, which will make her look like a queen, my queen, and not a princess." Xavier said this to the store manager, who gave him a curt nod, before entering a hidden mirror door. Gianna stood in her spot, with a blush. She knew he was staring at her, she could feel his figure sitting in the couch, his whole concentration, on her. "You will look amazing in any dress, Gianna! Because you are naturally so beautiful!" Brinley said while going through all the bridal dress racks. The store manager entered with his attendants, bringing out three racks and eleven mannequins with heavy dresses and full of high end and single special pieces designed by the famous boutique designer in the country, especially for the VIP members. "Now this is what I call quality!" Brinley exclaimed and excitedly rummaged through the hangers, trying to find the best one out of all."That one." Xavier said, pointing at one dress at the mannequin, he had been staring since the store manager brought out his new special collection.

The dress seemed very heavy and long, but it fitted the expectations Xavier had in his mind.

"Woww! Gianna! I'm telling you! This one is an absolute stunning piece of work! You have to try this!" Brinley said, as soon as her eyes fell on the dress, Xavier had pointed. Gianna chuckled and nodded. The boutique manager and his staff didn't even need to suggest anything, Brinley was very skilled in fashion, they were amazed by her choices and suggestions."Interested in designing?" Xavier asked Brinley curiously, she nodded her head instantly up and down in approval with a greedy twinkle in her eyes."Well, work hard then, what are you expecting from me? I won't spoon-feed you your career, you have to make your future yourself, what I can do is take care of your needs. Do you understand?" Xavier said sternly."Aye! Aye! Capo!" Brinley said while saluting, the store helpers were finding it difficult to hide their smiles. Gianna came out wearing the most beautiful dress, Xavier slowly stood up in shock, looking at her."So? How is it?" Gianna asked with a blush, she couldn't see the dress, but she knew just by touching the embroidery and fabric, that this dress was drop-dead gorgeous. "Heavenly goddess!!! I hail your beauty, your highness!!" Brinley exclaimed with extreme appreciation for the whole get-up of Gianna. Gianna stood there looking like a goddess while blushing like an innocent teenager."Gianna, you look really beautiful, I knew this dress would be the best fit for you." Brinley added in excitement. Xavier nodded and chuckled at her overexcited behavior."Should I confirm this one?" Gianna turned and asked Xavier. He came near her and tucked her hair behind her ears."As you wish, mio cuore. I won't force you, it's your choice." Xavier said, and rubbed her arm in a gentle manner, as if encouraging her."Well then, this is it." Gianna smiled and exclaimed, making Brinley squeal and click many pictures of her, to show them to Grace and Amelia. Xavier hugged her, making her blush and smile at the same time. She inhaled his familiar cologne and sighed in happiness. Never had she thought, she would be this lucky to have a man like him, by her side. She could feel the heart thumping in pleasure."Go, get changed, we are going for a dinner date later onwards." Xavier whispered in her ear, she shivered when she felt his hot breath fan her sensitive ears. She nodded and was about to move, when her steps faltered."What about your work? You had a meeting this evening, right?" Gianna inquired in confusion."Work can wait, not this. I already told Adam to postpone it." Xavier said and shrugged his shoulder."No, we can go on some other day, you should attend to your work and not neglect it just because of me." Gianna requested."No, I-""Please?" Gianna asked, tilting her head in a cute manner, Xavier clenched his chest and gritted his teeth."Ugh, fine..." Xavier said giving up. Brinley was holding her laugh as usual."Hehe, I'm going to change." Gianna teasingly chuckled and rushed away with the attendant to change her dress.After changing her dress, Xavier started taking her to all the stores, to buy her lots of gifts from the mall, despite her denying the whole time. Xavier also saw one dress which would suit Gianna the most, so he bought it secretly.--"We're home!" Brinley exclaimed loudly, as soon as she entered the living room. Grace and Lorenzo glanced at her and curiously saw maids, carrying many shopping bags. "You bought all this for yourself?" Grace asked her in confusion. But Brinley shook her head."I'll go for my shopping with Adam, to buy matching attires. Everything here today is for Gianna, Mom, do you know, Fratello was pampering her with all these gifts even though she was begging him not to buy everything he set his eyes on." Brinley exclaimed while laughing but got silent when she noticed Gianna entering the living room."You must be tired Gianna, come let's have dinner early today." Grace said as she saw a hint of tiredness from Gianna."That's right, I'm also hungry, let's go." Lorenzo exclaimed as he stood up."But Derek, Xavier and Adam? Amelia is also not here." Gianna asked about them."Oh, I will call Derek, he is at home and don't worry, our maids will make more for the rest of them, so let's go." Grace said and patted Gianna on her back. She silently acknowledged her kindness and thoughtfulness."Mhm. Dad! I'm so hungry and tired! I won't ever go with Fratello again! He has become even more shopaholic than me after he's got smitten with love!" Brinley exclaimed and nudged Gianna by her elbow. Her cheeks got red in embarrassment instantly and with fast pace she left towards the dinning room careful enough to not knock down things on her way due to embarrassment.Lorenzo and Grace chuckled at the interaction and looked at each other. They were happy that finally their son was getting married and settling down to make their family even more bigger and happier, but what they didn't knew was, Derek making plans to go away from this family very soon.----
