When arriving at the open gates of the wall. The guards fell to one knee. "Eastern gate guard greet his majesty, crown prince and princess Luna." The guards said in unison. The king nodded to them while walking through the gates. Ben who was staggering behind while admiring his surroundings. Fasten his pace to catch up to the group. When two spears blocked his way.
"State your purpose stranger. Why do you want to enter the capital?" The guards blocked Bens way by crossing their spears. "I'm with the king." Ben explained to the guards.
"Yeah sure. You don't even look like someone with status to be in the presence of the king." One of the guards said to Ben. "What? No, he invited me personally and gave me the title of royal guest." The guards looked at each other and then looked back at Ben with annoyed looks on their faces. "Scram! We don't want liars to enter the capital. You should know what is best fo-." One of the guards said when he got cut off mid-sentence by a cold voice.
"What are you fools doing. This is a royal guest of my father." Luna who noticed that Ben got blocked by the guards turned around and came back for him. She didn't like how the guards talked to Ben, she got a bit annoyed with the guards so she spoke with a cold voice. The guards who heard her voice froze and looked back. They immediately to one knee and said.
"Please, forgive us. We didn't know. He doesn't look like someone with status at all." The guard explained. Luna scoffed and said. "You saw him walking with us when we were walking to the gate. You should have known that he was with us." Luna coldly replied to the guard who explained. The guards felt cold sweat run down their spine.
"Luna don't make a big deal about this. They just did their job, although they are a bit retarded, I would probably also be skeptical about a non-elf walking with a royal party. Let bygones be bygones." Ben says to Luna. Luna who was holding back a laugh when Ben said that the guards were retarded says to the guards. "You hear that, you should be grateful for the royal guest let bygones be bygones."
The guard's eyes twitched while turning around and clasping their hands and apologizing to Ben. "We are sorry royal guest for offending you. Thank you for showing mercy." Ben just nodded and walked past them. Luna came down from her horse and started walking next to Ben.
"Thank you." Ben says to Luna. "No problem." Luna replies. 'I guess the mentality of the cultivation world is the same as always.' Ben thought to himself.
Ben followed the royals through the capital while admiring the structures inside the capital. The buildings give of a feeling of the era of knights and castles. When arriving at the palace Ben got escorted by a servant to a guest room inside the palace. The palace has a holy feeling to it. The walls are white with a tint of gold.
A red carpet on the floor in the hallway. Some plants in corners and where Ben walked there were pillars at the outer wall so you could see outside. The servant stopped at a double door and stood at the side looking down while saying. "This will be your temporary room royal guest. If you need anything just pour some energy inside this crystal." The servant gave a blue crystal to Ben then bowed and left.
'This crystal will be useless. I don't even know how to cultivate yet.' Ben thought while opening the door. Ben looked around in a daze. The room he came into was enormous. It was at least 10 by 10 meters. The room had two luxurious sofas opposite of each other with a low table in between them. A comfy chair in the corner.
When looking up he sees yellow crystals imbedded into the ceiling. Some candles and a fireplace on the right wall with two chairs facing it. On the left there are two doors. Ben went inside the closest one to where he stood. He opened the door and was greeted by a massive bathroom. He sees what looks like a toilet in the corner.
A massive bath in the middle and a shower looking place in another corner. He walks out and went to the other door. Ben opens the door and steps inside. This room contained a king-sized bed and some drawers and a closet for clothes. Some more yellow crystals on ceiling. 'Wow, this is definitely better than the small apartment I should be moving into when I wanted to go to college.' Ben thought.
'A little disappointed that there are no tv's though. Well not surprising I am at an elven kingdom right now. Only back home we have television.' A knock is suddenly heard at the door. Ben opens the door and sees a royal guard standing in front of the door. "Come with me royal guest. The king wants to speak with you." The royal guard says. Then turns around and walks away.
Ben follows the royal guard. They walk deeper into the palace when they stop at a single door. Ben looks questioningly to the guard. "Step inside. You need to change your clothes to something more befitting of a royal guest." The guard says to Ben.
Ben steps towards the door and knocks twice. The door swings open and a middle-aged looking woman grabs Bens arms and pulls him inside. The woman drags him to a mirror and let him stand in front of the mirror. "Stay." The woman commands Ben. The woman then speeds of into a side door. Ben who is wondering what the hell is going on is staring at himself in the mirror with a blank look on his face. After a solid minute, the woman comes back holding all kinds of clothes and pieces of fabric with vibrant colors.
She throws all the clothes on a table to the side. She starts to circle Ben observing him with a pondering look. She grabs a piece of purple fabric. She keeps it in front of Ben while looking intently at him. Then shakes her head and takes another piece of fabric. 'It looks like I will be here for a long time.' Ben thinks to himself.
While this is all going on inside a grand office the king is seated behind his desk with Luna sitting across from him on a comfy chair. Just now the king ordered a royal guard to bring Ben to him and change his clothes at Miranda. "So, that will keep him busy. Now Luna let's talk for a bit." The king says to Luna.
"What do you want to talk about father?" Luna asks. "I know that look that you give him, you know?" The king says. "No, I don't know." Luna answers. "Don't give me that, I already checked your soul fluctuations." The king says. Luna gasps. "You did not!" Luna says. "I'm sorry but I needed to know. You understand, right?" The king says in a sad tone to Luna. Luna's incredulous face falls into a sad one. "I'm sorry father, I understand." Luna says in an apologetic tone.
"Ever since I lost your mother, I have been looking out for you. You know Aerin was my soulmate. I am just lucky I still have you." The king says. A sad silence fills the office. The king takes a sharp breath in. "But let's not talk about that anymore. Let's talk about you." The king says which brightens the mood a bit. "About me?" Luna asks. "Don't play dumb, I just said I read your soul fluctuations." The king answers.
