16 Weapon affinity test

The king frowns and the headmaster says. "Hey boy, place your hand on the ball again. Otherwise I can't make your weapon." "I already saw which weapon I have a high aptitude for. It is the great sword." Ben says.

He doesn't want the headmaster and the king finding out that two weapons appeared. One of them is something Ben definitely knows isn't in the cultivation world. He doesn't want to let them know about it.

"A great sword. Could you tell me the design?" The king asks Ben. "Yes. The word would be almost as tall as me. The handle is long enough for two and a half hand to hold it. It has a cross guard then a 6-foot-long blade and a quarter foot wide. It is a two-edged blade that ends in a point." Ben says.

The headmaster looks like he is in deep thought. The king looks with a questioning gaze to Ben. "A 6-foot-long blade, a cross guard and a two-edged blade? I have never heard of such a weapon." The king says. From the king's memories not even, the dwarves had such weapons. They mostly used hammers and axes. If there was one that had a sword it wasn't that big and double edged.

"Can you touch the crystal again so I can get a full picture of the weapon?" The headmaster says in a demanding tone. 'Water, a little help please!' Ben says inside his head. 'We saw everything, don't worry we four sealed your aptitude for that weapon away for now.' Water says. 'Thanks' Ben says relieved inside his head.

Ben touches the crystal ball again and this time only the great sword appears. The headmaster looks at the weapon inside the ball and his eyes widen. "Aha… Aha aha…. HAHAHAHAHA." The headmaster starts to laugh like a maniac. The headmaster suddenly engulfs Ben inside a bear hug.

The sweaty body of the headmaster drenches the clothes of Ben. "C-a-n'-t b-r-e-a-t-h." Ben squeaks out and pets the body of the headmaster. The headmaster hurriedly let's go of Ben. "I'm sorry boy, but you just helped me reach the grandmaster level in blacksmithing." The headmaster says heartily. "This design has opened my eyes to whole new generation of weapons. This changes everything." The headmaster exclaims.

'This changes everything? It is just a sword. Not that rare. Well whatever.' Ben thinks while dusting himself off. The headmaster hurries off to start forging Ben's weapon.

The king looks at Ben and says. "We will now go to the treasury." Then walks off and Ben follows.

Arriving at a big vault door that is protected by five guards. The king takes out a badge from his spatial ring. He holds it in front of himself and from the vault a light scans the badge. An intricate formation appears in front of the vault and opens up. Then the actual vault door opens.

When the king and Ben walk inside, Ben sees massive piles of gold and rainbow-colored crystals, ranging from small ones to big ones. He sees a lot of weapons laying around. Mostly swords without a cross-guard, blades that cut on one side and handles that has enough room for one hand.

There are also a lot of spears, glaives, mazes, hammers, war-hammers, war-axes and a lot of other weapons. 'How come that they never thought of double-bladed axes or swords?' Ben thinks while walking along.

'Ben, go to the left.' Waters voice is suddenly heard inside Bens mind. Ben went to the left. The king stops and looks back to Ben, then follows him.

'Keep walking… Go right here… Under that pile of gold and crystals.' Water guides Ben. Ben starts to dig inside the gold pieces and crystals and a chest revealed itself. It looks like a very old chest. It had symbols written on it. The words gave off a very profound feeling. 'Take me out.' Water says.

Ben takes Water out. Water starts to clear out the chest. When the chest is fully exposed Water starts to inspect the symbols on the chest. Water looks up to the king and asks. "What can you tell me about this chest." "I don't know from where it is or what the symbols say. We are in the part of the treasury coming from the era of chaos." The king says.

Water nods. "The era of chaos. I wonder if they know that their remains lay here." Water softly mutters. "We take the chest." Water says. "That is no problem, but before you take it can I know the reason?" The king asks.

"All you need to know is that what is inside is important to the story of how you elves came to existence." Water says. "Y-you don't say." The king begins but stops himself and sighs. "Doesn't matter, we need to repay you anyways." The king continues. "Wise words King Orion." Water says.

"Give Ben a spatial ring too." Water says to the king. "Sure, follow me." The king says. He walks off and Ben follows. They eventually come to a section dedicated to rings. Ben spots a matt black spatial ring. Ben point at the ring and says. "I want that one." The king follows his pointed finger and makes a grasping motion with his hand. The ring flies to the king and the king catches the ring.

The king gives the ring to Ben. "You need to imprint your soul mark on the ring. To do that, reach out with your soul and try to mark the ring." The king says. Ben starts to frown. 'Reach out with your soul?' Ben thinks. "Don't worry follow your instincts.

'My instincts? In my world it is not even proven that the soul is something we can actively control.' Ben thinks to himself. 'Don't worry I'll guide you.' Azrael says to Ben. 'Okay' Ben says back. Ben closes his eyes, a profound feeling washes over Ben. Ben could explain it best as a literal outer body experience. It felt like his senses extended outside his body. It was like he knew exactly what was happening between the border of his senses and his body.

'This is what is called a divine sense. Your soul can be considered to have entered the initial stages just before the infant angel soul. You have unlocked your divine sense. For regular soul path practitioners, they will not always unlock their divine sense. But all angels have a divine sense.' Azrael explains.

Ben closes his eyes again and tries to sense outside his body. His divine sense flares out and touches the ring. He wills a connection to appear between the ring and himself. Once the connection appears, he retracts his divine sense and opens his eyes. "Wow, that is such a cool feeling!" Ben exclaims.

Ben walks back to the chest where water is still reading the symbols. "I will take the chest." Ben says to Water. Water takes a step back and nods. Ben again stretches out his divine sense but feels that he cannot touch the chest from this distance. Ben is standing two feet away from the chest. Ben shuffles forward. When he is one foot away from the chest, he feels the chest inside his divine sense.

Ben wills the chest to go inside his spatial ring. The chest disappears. Ben dives his divine sense inside the spatial ring and sees the chest laying inside the space.
