The sound of heavy footsteps came closer and closer to me and the cleanroom.
I didn't know what to do, there was no door to escape to another side. I either had to hide or face them head-on. The only problem that arose was that I did not know how to fight ...
'Hide me!' I thought, but quickly the idea of hiding collapsed disastrously for two reasons:
1: I ran out of time and 2: There was no valid hiding place.
'Fuck am I going to have to face them head-on? what if they have guns? I was starting to get stressed out about facing armed people. Even with my superhuman power due to the skill, I think I would be shot before I even have time to react
Then suddenly an idea crossed my mind.
'Time' I thought, smiling and slapping my hand with my other hand but quickly the sound of an explosion made my happy face disappear.
*BOOM*
I was lucky enough to see the door hinges explode as they walked through the room. I dodged it in time, throwing myself aside.
"oof" I heaved the most beautiful sigh of relief of my life. The door was made of thick iron, just as I felt it pass by me, I knew it must be very heavy.
But my sigh only lasted a second before the dust of the explosion settled exposing a dozen soldiers in front of me.
The soldiers were heavily dressed in black bulletproof vests, a black operation bond consisting of thick black pants, a black hood covering their face, and another small black vest adding even more protection to their gear. of battle.
They all carried firearms, which looked like machine guns to be precise. A small pistol was visible at their waist accompanied by a combat knife on their black boots.
'What do I do?' I tried to find a solution in my head but the cause was lost in advance, unless ...
"HAND IN THE AIR!" One of the soldiers shouted at me, pointing all of their submachine guns at me. The atmosphere becomes very tense when something happens.
*FIRE*
"Wha-" The sound of the gunshot pierced the air like a cannon firing at a battlefield. I wasn't used to the sound of a weapon when it was triggered, as my ears plugged in and made an unpleasant high-pitched sound.
I close my eyes thinking I was probably going to die, I waited patiently for the bullet to hit me and feel excruciating pain.
but nothing ...
I waited for what could be called full seconds before I dared to open my eyes.
The soldiers were in the same position, their guns pointed at me, but there was something else. The red alarm clock circling throughout the room was frozen in one place. I could even see the flash off the gun after the soldier pulled the trigger on the submachine gun.
The bullet was right in front of me, a few inches from my head.
I sighed happily, if the bullet had advanced a few inches I would probably lose my left eye and also my head with it.
"Time control" was the only possibility that came to mind. It was amazing if I was told in my old life that I could have the chance to stop time, well... I wouldn't believe it for a second. But in front of me, it was real, everything looked so real, I wasn't in a dream or a nightmare.
"I must escape." Taking myself back I stepped forward directing the bullet in front of me with my hand towards the soldier who intended to kill me. I stopped the bullet just in front of his front covered with the black mask on him before throwing it lightly. Then I disarmed all the other soldiers by taking their submachine guns and breaking 9 of the 10. With my superhuman strength, it was not a problem.
I kept only one submachine gun before hitting hard on the neck of one of the soldiers and the others I hit them in the stomach.
'How do I get time back on track?' I thought about finishing what I had to do with the previously armed men.
I tried to concentrate, to think about taking back the time but nothing happened. The bullet still froze in front of the guy in black and the others with part of their body askew.
"Good time, I would like you to resume," I said out loud with the machine gun in hand. Suddenly everything around me started to move, first the alarm which kept blinking as if it had never stopped, then the soldiers.
*FIRE*
The bullet, in front of the man, spun at an absurd speed resuming its rotation, it buried itself directly in the head of the poor man falling to the ground, blood flowing from his skull under the impact of the bullet. The others were propelled by the blows they had received from me with incredible speed crashing heavily against the walls of the room.
"Maybe I went a little too hard," I said to myself as I looked at the 8 guys who were on the ground unconscious from the strength of my punch.
"Maybe the pause of time is a bit strong" Before I finished my sentence, the red light stopped flashing, fixing itself on a point in the room.
'Is that saying' Pause '?' I thought in my head as an idea quickly occurred to me.
"So if I said, Resume." At the end of my sentence, time kicked in again, as the red light in the room started spinning again.
"Okay, now I have to escape" Speaking out loud I dodged the corpse of the man in black. As I passed over him, nausea came to me like a sea-boat trip going wrong. Fortunately, I refrained from dirtying the white floor, no longer thinking of the soldier.
I still had this quest to finish.

[Quest (1)]: Escape
----------------
The system window closed, then I continued on my way through the door that had been destroyed by the soldiers. The building I was in seemed to be huge. I quickly passed through several disturbing white hallways of the same type as the room from which I was being held captive.
There was no door, I couldn't find any passage leading to the exit.
'It's way too big!' My mind was in turmoil and as I walked I felt a little fatigue corrupting the condition of my body. My superhuman strength was an asset in this kind of situation and my willpower helped me to continue my mission to get out of this building to the end.
Finally, I arrived in a passage with two directions, right or left. I had to rely on luck.
'Maybe more soldiers will come and kill me or even worse re-capture me' Just the thought of having me used as a lab mouse gave me chills all over my body.
Taking my courage in hand, I headed for the left path.
A few minutes of racing later, I arrived in front of a few doors.
* PAM * * PAM * * PAM *
Heavy footsteps echoed behind me.
'Damn they're coming over here' Not thinking, I took the door in front of me, opening the cold handle, quickly walked through the door as quietly as possible entering the room. I closed the door in complete silence so as not to alert the soldiers who were coming my way.
Turning around, I was greeted by a room that looked normal. The room was no longer white but had wooden parquet floors. The lights on the ceiling lit up the room which since I had stepped out of the tube looked quite normal to me. The only disturbing thing was the tube in front of me, there was a human in it.
'A little girl?' Through the same green liquid in the tube I had was, I saw a little girl who was curled up on herself, unconscious.
'You bastard' I closed my fists in anger, those bastards had even done that to a little girl...
* PAM * * PAM * * PAM *
Unfortunately, I heard the heavy footsteps of the soldiers arriving in my direction, neither one nor two I wanted at least to save the little girl. She probably didn't deserve to have been here. I'm not a hero, but neither am I such a cruel person. If I can help someone in my situation I would gladly do so.
Quickly rushing to the glass cage, I fired with the machine gun still in my hands. The bullets from the gun struggled to pierce the resistance of glass as strong as concrete.
"Take this then" I cried throwing my fist in the direction of the window. The green liquid rushed to the floor, splashing the beautiful parquet as it passed. I quickly caught up with the girl before she fell to the ground but I didn't have time to see if she was okay because the soldiers were already breaking down the door.
* BAM *
Like the previous one, the door did not hold the shock, the hinges released and the door fell to the ground with a thud. This time, on the other hand, it was not a dozen soldiers but at least thirty all armed badly pointing me and the little girl with their weapons.
'Shit!' I cursed in my head, but soon I didn't have time to flinch as the creepy sound from a weapon I didn't want to face was being fired at me.
One of the soldiers had a rocket launcher on his shoulder, he shouted something incomprehensible before firing the missile in his rocket launcher at me.
'Pause' I say calmly in my mind. Time stopped once more, the rocket frozen in the air with all the soldiers frozen in time.
'I know' Smiling slightly, I shifted from the rocket so it wasn't aimed at me anymore. Then with the girl in one arm and the submachine gun in the other, I pointed the gun at the soldiers before pulling the trigger.
* FIRE * * FIRE * * FIRE *
Fire came from the front of the machine gun as bullets came out of the gun barrel. I didn't have time to count how much I had fired as I threw the gun at the soldiers before turning around.
"Resume" I shouted as I ran with the girl I had put on my back. Time resumed, the soldiers moved and the rocket rushed in the direction ahead.
The sound of the bullets I had fired echoed around the room, I heard the soldiers moaning as they struggled but I still didn't have time to think about it all. Without looking back I follow the direction in which the rocket was pointing.
* BOOOM *
The rocket exploded the wall in front of me.
I begged Lady Luck that the hole could make my escape from this damn place.
Jumping with the girl in my arms through the smoke from the blast, I smiled knowing I had escaped.
"FREE" I screamed at the top of my lungs, breathing in the air of my freedom, the wind blowing my cheek as I felt like I was falling.
* Ding *
The sound of the system echoed in my ears, but currently, it was the least of my worries. I had managed to leave the shady building but the thing ... is that now, I was falling from the sky ...
