Aurora has always been the 'unattractive, unattainable' girl throughout her whole life. No man has ever approached her with the intention of courting her, rather they approached her to learn more about her best friend. She was better known as a 'DUFF'. But now with her best friend dead and a baby depending on her, she finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage that will test and strengthen her character. Like most 21st century women, she views herself as a feminist. One who doesn't believe in love. She views love as a Capitalist movement created to control unsuspecting minds while breaking their bank accounts. But she finds herself falling in love with a man. Not just any man, her friends boyfriend who also happens to be her husband.

Deep In The Mud

She seemed startled, a look of relief crossing her features as she noticed the man walking  in her direction. He looked like a normal citizen taking his dog on a walk. The dog was on a leash but l could ferocious look in its eyes, ready to pounce at the next object in its sight

I got out of my car and silently walked closer to the pair careful to keep myself hidden from plain sight so l wouldn't startle either of them

"Took you long enough, l was starting to think that you had cold feet" she mused getting to her feet and pushing the stroller in the direction of the man

"This is the only leverage l currently have, why would l let it go?" he asked her inspection the stroller. He gave her a satisfied smile and nod, happy with whatever sat tucked away in the stroller
