Aurora has always been the 'unattractive, unattainable' girl throughout her whole life. No man has ever approached her with the intention of courting her, rather they approached her to learn more about her best friend. She was better known as a 'DUFF'. But now with her best friend dead and a baby depending on her, she finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage that will test and strengthen her character. Like most 21st century women, she views herself as a feminist. One who doesn't believe in love. She views love as a Capitalist movement created to control unsuspecting minds while breaking their bank accounts. But she finds herself falling in love with a man. Not just any man, her friends boyfriend who also happens to be her husband.

Deep In The Mud

<p>The world is slowly caving in on me, enveloping me with its graces beneath the soil where all the bitter sweet memories of the world l used to live in lie. I can't fathom how the world quickly changed and turned against me. All was going better than it is now, although it wasn't the most ideal situation, it was worth it because l had the man l love beside me. He always made sure to give me all the attention l need, the money and possessions l longed for and most of all, his heart was mine. Not fully but it still belonged to me because he always came back home to me regardless of how big or small he messes up.</p>

<p>I was his confidant, a present help in trouble that would help navigate all the storms of this world with zero judgement or anger. We would burn bridges together but he tossed me to the side like l am garbage</p>
