ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY TWO

"Are you ready to leave?" Matthew asks coming into the room with an overnight bag and discharge papers in his hands

"they are letting me go?" it hasn't even been five days since l have been in this make shift hospital and my wounds have yet to heal

"not exactly but we have a plane to catch and as they say, pilots wait for no one. So go get changed and l will wait for you out here" he says passing the overnight bag to me

I take the bag from his hands and walk to the bathroom where thankfully he allowed me to have my privacy. I don't know what l would have done if he decided to enter the bathroom with me

"hurry up Tera, at the rate you are going, you will make us all late. And they aren't as forgiving as l am" he says calling me by the fake name they are trying to pass off as my own
