Chapter 10 Sneak attack

Just as he was getting ready to leave the area, a piercing scream came from a building near him followed by a burst of noisy and panicked cries.

Chu Yunsheng's heart started to beat intensely. He lurked quickly towards the building and then took a quick look at a big hole in a window on the second floor of the building.

The situation wasn't very clear from his location, but the infrared imaging device showed that there were movements on the fifth or sixth floor of this building. However, it was blocked by the walls so he could not see it very clearly.

After taking a deep breath, he started to climb up the wall. The energy shield that was cast onto him had increased his physical strength. Coupled with the uneven surface of the wall, he successfully got into the second floor through the hole in the window.

Along the way, he was extremely careful. Because of the walls, his visibility was limited. He didn't know how many insects were there, so he had to be cautious. He must prevent any accidents from happening.

The group suddenly realized what was going to happen, and all stopped screaming. No one wanted to die. This disgusting monster might leave if it was stuffed. Everyone was thinking exactly the same thing.

Soon, the red-shelled insect's greedy eyes stopped at a delicate-looking girl. Being stared at by the monster, the girl felt like she had fallen into hell. Fear, despair, fright, all types of feelings emerged from her mind all at once. She cried and hugged a middle-aged man's arm tightly.

"No, no, not me, not me!" She begged.

The people around her felt both sympathetic and fortunate. Those kinds of complex and contradictory emotions appeared all over their faces.

She looked at the middle-aged man with hope, but only to find that the man who had once given her promises was now trying to avoid her eyes. He was even trying to wrest his arm away from her tight hug.

She gave up her hope. At that moment, her heart died, and she finally accepted her fate. As the monster moved forward slowly, she closed her eyes.

Then an arrow with an extremely cold frost pierced through the monster's shield instantly. It was shot violently into the insect's body!
