Isolda

"I suspect they have scouts surrounding this area, we need to stay close together, if we seperate and one of us falls behind they may decide it would be better to kill you. I also believe they will make their move when we make camp and try to kill us or capture us. Isolda no matter what you must not allow them to capture you especially, as a human they see you as the enemy since they declared war on humans." The company spoke for a while longer about the safest way they could travel would be and when and how they should try and camp. It was a long journey to the coastline of the savage lands and home of the great kraken.

Yoka was a very sweet female orc, even though she had been catered to as royalty by the clan she wasn't rude or bossy. Rather she gave off the aura of a sweet kindergarten teacher and reminded her of the little witch the magestrte sent to tutor her when she was younger. Her frame was more petite than Jani'dae's, she was also much younger only a few years older than Isolda.

Her body language told Isolda this poor orc was terrified of what was to come, she stood very close to the orc guard as if the very plants would grab her up at any moment. The guard wore like leather armor over his chest and a strange looking skirt with strips of black leather stuck to it with copper bolts. He wasn't wearing any boots like most orcs since the soles of their feet are as tough as the strongest leather sole any shoemaker could cobble or armor smith could forge. It seemed not every owl clan orc floated around like they were sitting on a cloud as the guard preferred to stand. He carried a short handle battle axe that was well worn with sweat stains on the leather wrapping around the handle. The blade had small chips from use and was no longer shiny, it looked intimidating and heavy which made this male orc even more impressive to Isolda.

She looked at his exposed skin and looked at the greens and dark purples and bright white splotches that covered what she could see. "So this is the frame of a physical type orc, most of these orcs are enchanters and have no need to use their physical strength. These orcs could be useful i suspect for later use." Isolda half thought to herself half thought to the maw, to which he answered " these orcs are blood traitors, the owl clan, the fox clan, and the bear-apes all rebelled against us, onlt the krakens are true orcs, only the krakens are trustworthy." His voice hissed on the words as they echoed in Isolda's mind.

"Isolda take to the shadows and follow us. Stay close." Jani'dae instructed and Isolda happily obliged. Her shadow hopping had progressed beyond what Jani'dae had witnessed when she first found her, and it had been months since she'd used the ability in front of anyone other than Vlad so her ability to teleport through the shadows instantly was still a mystery to a orc mother. She could seek out a Kraken scout. " everyone else stay aware, there are more than just kraken's in these woods, Iron bears and Dire wolves as well as pandora vipers . All of which can and will kill you, there are even small pockets of goblins who's numbers alone will reduce you to a pile of bones before you blink the first time." As she finished speaking the group made their way to a path heading east towards the coast. isolda melted into the shadows and began muttering an incantation as she did a black eye opened on her forhead and she was able to peer through the shadows like they were opened windows. Shadow peeking is what she liked to call it, and it was a useful little trick she had been taught to her by the maw. She scanned the woods in all directions at once until a few miles ahead she saw what she had been looking for.

Two large orcs wearing black masks with eight blue beaded ropes hang from the bottom and wearing jagged looking leather armor and carrying spears tipped with large stingray barbs hid in the woods not far off from the group. Isolda decided to pay them a visit and let them know her master was here. She shadow ported right next to the larger of the two, he hadn't noticed the small girl standing beside him. A strong smell of rotting fish and salt water hit her nose when she appeared, these orcs did not find hygiene as essential as the owls did and did not like being snuck up on either. The smaller one who was to the right of the larger orc realized they were no longer spying but rather had managed to be snuck up on. He didn't care that was a little owl mask wearing human girl, he swung his spear behind his back as he juked behind his companion and tried to shove the end of his spear into Isolda.

Isolda was not physically talented, she had no training in swords or spears or hand to hand combat, what she talented in was magic. Isolda did not flinch or even try to dodge the attack, she couldn't even if she wanted to. She only smiled as she disappeared completely causing the orc to miss his target knocking the larger orc off his feet. "Ragna you fucking twat! Why did you do that!" The larger orc cursed as he stood up and looked for where his spear had fallen. As he scanned the area he found his spear in the hands of a small girl with black hair and green eyes wearing an owl mask. " that's what i was swinging at!" Ragna swore as he prepared his spear again to strike.

Isolda only smiled and walked towards the large orc.

"Please don't be too hasty, i am not here to kill you if i were it would already be done. Im here to reward you and your clan. You've been most loyal to my master and have kept true to your orders. "

The two orcs looked confused but did not attack her, she handed the spear back to its owner and removed her mask. She smiled a wicked smile that sent goose-skin up the two orcs backs. " I am Isolda of the owl orc clan, vassal to the great maw himself, but you may just call me Isolda for now. You are bound by loyalty and blood to obey the ancient masters and their vassals, luckily for you i happened upon you before any other orcs and you get to be the heroes who introduce us to your leaders." The larger orc just looked at Isolda without moving or making a sound, " how do we know you are truly a vassal of an ancient master? You could just be a little human witch trying to destroy our great city by the sea and win the great war between our kind."

"You stupid orc, do you really think the humans would send a little girl in to the savage lands alone? Do orc clans just give clan masks to humans? If you need proof that i am the vassal of the great maw and that he is planning to take back dominion over this world you need only look into my eyes."

They followed her instructions and looked into her eyes searching for something in the pool of green, the longer they stared the stronger a feeling of weightlessness took over their bodies. Their own minds began to ripple like pools of water before large waves and whirlpools began to cause chaos in their minds eye. Then a great black eye opened frighten the them back to the woods with the small witch smiling up at them. " do you believe me now?"
