Silence

I can see it. The terror in his eyes. The confusion going through his head. What happened? Why it happened? He rushed to my side tearing Derek out of my arms. He couldn't even stop the tears from falling down his face. I thought Derek was dead, and so did he. He immediately called an ambulance while trying to calm me and wake Derek. He laid his body flat on the floor, trying to clean some of my own blood of my brother. As I sat watching my baby brother fight for his life, I slowly started fading. My father looked at me. Hand on my face, asking if I am okay. The room started spinning all around me. I could see my father talking, but I heard nothing. I can see his fear getting more and more intense. I was dying.
