Chapter One Hundred Seventy Four

Texan's POV

The rage that I harboured towards my brother never seemed to seize or lessen whatsoever, but ever since we were young, the boy was perceived untouchable. In some cases, this was true. He was, in more ways than one more powerful than I, the firstborn son to a mediocre Elven family. Our family was blessed to have children whose magic affinity was as high as ours.

Unfortunately for me, this only meant that I never got the opportunity to decide which sector of the Elf nation to fall under. I ended up becoming a mage as part of the Mage's Society, a place that I had no interest in. Sitting in one place and skimming through books and ancient scrolls was not something that appealed to me as a way of life. As a result, I always found myself stealing away from the Mage's Society and running off to the Barracks that housed the Combat elves.
