Chapter 14: The Driver

I just ignored and tried to follow up with what the teacher was teaching. Before I could ask question, the bell rang for break.

I walked into the cafeteria, dinning and watched everyone staring at me like my face was peeling off. No one even offered me a sit, I just kept walking with my trey plated with food, I finally saw a free sit. But one of the cheer leader girls adjusted to it making me look stupid.

I walked from there out of anger and tripped, I fell with the noodles covering my face. Everyone laughed, but even with my blurry eyes covered with noodles, I saw a hand and it was the girl I met earlier.

She picked me up and took me to her seat.

She still looked unclean and nasty, they were stain everywhere. "Thanks" I said.

"No probs, eat the corn and drink the chocolate milk, cause am done eating" she replied. I couldn't say no! cause I was definitely starving.

So I took a bite out of the corn and took a sip from the chocolate milk. We began to discuss and she offered to show me the library and I accepted. We walked into the library and met a lady which has a name tag as "lady".

"Hey lady we would like to go to the history boot" Mika said politely and the lady gave us a card as we walked into the history boot. The library was so quiet even a pin could be louder than my heart beat, the area we where were surrounded by weird people. They were all reading history books, cause no one reads that. 

"Am sorry but why are we here and can't we read anything except from history" I said kinda upset. "I love history books cause it magical, I discover more of our existence. And I have a private book for you" she replied and swiped out a book written THEODORE. I thought that must be the diary Brian was looking for but it wasn't it was just a biography.

"Can I have it?" I asked over politely. "Of course, it contains some history about your family and most especially the keys" Mika summarized to me. "Thanks" I happily said but wasn't sure of what she meant by keys. And I knew I needed to finish this book as soon as I get home.

"You can read it at my house" she  just read my mind. "Okay well your address" I asked.

"I just texted it to you" she said she was a really fast texter. Then I immediately received a beep.

Few hours later the school finally came to an end and me and Brian waited for Dad to get back.

Until we finally saw dad's car approaching, we both entered, while he was about driving I saw Mika.

"Dad stop" I ordered. And got down from the car i told him I was going to follow her home but I need a transport to get back, he really couldn't argue cause he noticed I just made a friend. He gave me $50 and drove away.

I ran to meet her and she entered her driver's car I also opened and entered. Her face was facing down so I didn't know if I was to notice her of my entrance. But the driver has already started driving, so I didn't bother anymore.

The driver was speeding so fast I didn't know when my heart started beating so fast, but she didn't still raise her head. I decided to talk to her "Wassup Mika" I said holding her back.

She raised up her head and my lungs ran up to my tongue when I saw a old lady whose face was pealing off. I screamed as the driver began to loose control but still stoped at a bus stop.

"Thanks I will be leaving now" the lady said and left. I then figured out that this was a taxi and not Mika car but where was Mika.

I gave the man the address and cautioned him about speeding, but he didn't listen anyways he even increased speed and turn the radio on. I was so scared and just hope the driver drops me off safe.

It been two hours yet we where not still there but we changed location when I noticed we were no more on the road, I started panicking and the man calmed me down telling me he has a passenger there.

But I insisted he dropped me first, this time he didn't make a reply. I then called Mika, it just played a voicemail saying, "Hello just kidding leave a message after the beep, beep!"

"Mika getting to your house will take some while due to some unknown problems, see you soon" I sent her this voicemail and the next thing I knew the driver was gone!

I started looking for any sign of the driver but nothing, a man was approaching the car which moved me to lock the car door.

But he forced the door to open until he unlocked it some how and sat at the front.

"What is wrong with you?" The man asked, "don't you remember this face" he said wiping his face without touching. "Nope" I replied less scared.

"Am your driver" he finally said.

"Well what took you? And where his the passenger" I believed him due to the fact I never really saw his face. "He ain't coming, so I decided to get something to drink" he said starting the car.

"Drink? You can't drink and drive" I said putting my seat belt

"Hey! This is my car, my rules" he said already driving. I didn't give a reply but decided to keep it calm cause it was still early.

I was dozing off and struggled to stay awake, in other to keep me awake I brought out the history book I was giving early. And began reading, then noticed the driver was driving straight for the past 30 minutes and decided to check him and saw him sleeping!

"Wake up!" I yelled, but it was too late, the car was heading directly to a trailer and..........
