12. Early Graduation! Executing Revenge Plans pt. 2

2 hours later the tragic news came. Shocked by her disfigured face Xie Yin suffered a cardiac arrest with internal bleeding and died on the way to hospital. The student body was shocked, seeing death of one of their peers right before their eyes. They honored Xie Yin with one minute of silence, after which the Principal made a speech, reminding everyone to take their medical checkups seriously.

No one blamed Long Yin, people even felt sympathetic for her, seeing as she indirectly took a life. Only Long Tian looked at her with slight suspicion.

The tournament continued, with rest of competition dedicated in memory of Xie Yin. As their fight was first Long Yin was sitting on a bench, watching other fights. Soon the temporary top 10 was formed. Long Yin was ranked first, Han Yao second, a bunch of unknown names from 3rd to 9th with her brother getting 10th place because he was still in Meridian Opening Stage. She looked at him and noticed fluctuations of a fresh breakthrough. She probed with her sense and sure enoug, he opened his 32nd meridian. The only reason 33rd wasn't formed yet was lack of Qi in the surroundings. With time left in competition she suspected he might breakthrough in combat.

- Alright everyone, the tournament stage is now over. Now is time for challenge stage. Starting from 20th place, state your challenge. There will be 10 minutes between each challenge, you only have one try.

Immediately people started challenging Long Tian. Some more observant ones challeged 9th place seeing as her brother thrash every opponent. One even succeed, earning himself 9th place, pushing her brother to 11th. As Long Tian kept fighting, the momentum of Qi around him increased gradually.

'Sure enough he's going to breakthrough' thought Long Yin as she watched her brother fighting. Finally after 10 minute break it was her brother's time to challenge.

- I challenge rank 2, Han Yao.

- Are you sure? You only have one try.

- Yes, I challenge Han Yao.

- Alright then, contestants, enter the arena!

After both Long Tian and Han Yao entered the arena Han Yao grimaced and exclaimed:

- So the last lesson wasn't enough? You still seek to challenge my Han family? It's a pity that bitch died, maybe passing her around would make you learn your lesson.

Long Yin eyes narrowed ' Not only a bastard but a happy would-be rapist? It seems that a stain must be removed. Maybe it's time to kill a rabbit to scare off the wolves trying to taste our family.'

Long Tian didn't get provoked, instead initiating his combat Arts. Basic Military Steps! Basic Military Boxing! Those were two arts freely available to all military officers's families.

The teachers were surprised by the revelation.

- Military Arts! As I suspected, the Long family wasn't simple. No wonder both kids were geniuses.

- They are both at the General Completion Mastery level, he had to be trained in them from childhood, no wonder his combat power is so high.

Unfortunately even with his superb martial techniques Long Tian wasn't Han Yao opponent. Han Yao was Qi gathering stage 4 peak with 29 meridians, and the difference of three meridians wasn't that big. Han Yao initiated his own martial art - Blood Eagle Claw Art - slashing Long Tian arms and wounding him. Seeing he was outclassed Long Tian immediately changed his tactics, dodging and weaving aroun Han Yao's attacks. As Long Tian was pressured more and more suddenly the surrounding Qi surged, forming an illusory meridian behind his back.

The teachers looked visibly agitated.

- What is this momentum? Is it a technique?

- You cretin, it's a breakthrough, and not any breakthrough, but the legendary 33rd meridian at that! This student is a peerless genius with unfathomable potential.

- Another prodigy in the same year! Our school is going to be famous, we might even get a raise, haha!

However soon their faces changed to disbelief as the momentum didn't weaken, but surged instead, as Long Tian directly broke through to Qi Gathering stage.

- Amazing what a peerless talent, directly breaking through. He might have a chance to win now!

Han Yao suddenly felt the situation turn around as the breakthrough allowed Long Tian to match him evenly. However he was unwilling to lose, so he decided to attack heavy-handedly and heavily injure Long Tian. He smirked triumphantly seeing astonishment on Long Tian's face and his hurried blocking strikes. He felt elation as he felt his Blood Eagle Claws sink into Long Tian's chest, pushing away his arms. That elation quickly turned into a look of terror, as he felt a heavy strike shatter his dantian, crippling his cultivation base.

He coughed up blood, screamed in denial, then directly fainted.

The teachers once again went into a shock seeing the mess happening before them, before hurrying onto the arena, giving Long Tian first aid and trying to save Han Yao's cultivation. The first action was successful and they managed to stop bleeding but the second was hopeless. Han Yao would never cultivate again.

When he heard the verdict Han Yao screamed with denial, before lunging with his fists at Long Tian. That was what Long Yin was waiting for. She stopped him with the blunt side of her wodden sword. No one noticed her smirk as she used the double slash to cripple Han Yao's unmentionables, making sure he'd never get it up and be forced to pee through a straw for the rest of his life. She considered that appropriate punishment for the sin of murdering her brother, taking into account the fact that he'd live.

The other students wanted to challenge Long Tian because he was injured, but after a quick harrumph and glare from Yin no one dared to issue a challenge. The remaining challengers quickly fought their maches and settled the disputes for 4th place and up. The previous fourth place moved to third place, since Han Yao was technically disqualified.

After giving the rewards for top 10 aside from 1st and second place, the Principal invited both siblings into his office.

- You two are the greatest geniuses to attend this school eince its foundation a hundred years ago. As such your rewards will naturally be extraordinary. Long Tian, as you just broke through you'll be given a ticket for 3 days in the local Foundation Establishment Qi gathering rooms. This should be enough for you to stabilize your breakthrough and maybe even reach 2nd stage. You'll also get half of a Spirit Ore, which should let you advance to the 3rd stage before high school Elite class tests start. With your combat power you should easily secure your place.

- As for you, Long Yin, even if I wanted to I can't give you much more. I managed to get you 5 days in Foundation Established Qi gathering chamber and a full block of Spirit Ore.

Long Yin was surprised by the revelation. Spirit Ores (commonly called Spiritual Crystals or Qi Shards) were an incredibly rare military resource that could only be obtained from "spiritualized" stars that wholly crystalized into a Spirit Ore deposit. They were incredibly precious and mainly allotted to military geniuses's use. She had no idea what strings the Principal had to pull to even get 1,5 of Spirit Ore blocks.

The siblings both thanked the Principal before heading home. They both gained a lot from fighting and watching fights and were going to digest their gains.
