"Have you found anything yet?!" I shouted to Angus who was a good distance away from me.

'No what about you? And why are you shouting you idiot!' Ahh that scared me!!! Forgot that this game has a Whisper function for friends. Its real life implements must be throwing me off.

'Sorry, forgot that we could use whisper. Haven't found anything yet either!' She didn't whisper anything back, but I could almost hear the eye-roll and the 'tsk' she was most likely giving me from here.

Ever since I used my *WEIGHT OF A THOUSAND SOULS SILENCE DEATH CRUSH* skill () passed down to me from my mother after years of training () capable of breaking the spirits of battle hardened men () she's been, I dunno, more.... lighter? No wrong analogy. It's more like, she met a small reckoning...

Any who, that doesn't matter now because we're lost!!!! In a game!!!!!!

If you asked us, we'd say we've been out here for an hour or so. But if you told us we've been out here for a day, we would have believed you! We got so turned around looking for a way back that the lost track of time within ten minutes! We have in game clocks (cause people still need to wake up on time to go on with life) but we promptly gave up on them when my clock went from 2:00 to 4:25 within five minutes and Angus' clock can't seem to decide if it wanted to go either backwards or forwards in time!!!!

And just like that, we've wandered around like headless chickens trying to get out of this area, but to no avail!!! My detection mastery, something I rarely use because of the essence intake it requires, was on full blast and reached lvl7 from overuse alone! And outside of a few bugs, I couldn't find a single life form in existence!!!

*Ping* hmm? My radar picked up something!

A few seconds after the ping, a beetle few out of the bushes and was heading for me in a dead tackle, but unfortunately for it, my detection range has gotten ridiculous over the past few hours.

My shield was off my back and in front of my face in seconds, and was already prepared for a Shield Bash by the time it got close enough to see its level

Mini Tank Beetle/ lvl5

Oh good, it a small fry. I redirected its charge upwards with a Shield Bash, and then while it was flailing around, I split it in two in mid air with a new move! *SHIELD ASUNDER*

Countless bugs died before I got that move down pat (it is unsurprisingly difficult to cut a bug in two with a shield, but crushing them doesn't guarantee their death, so what could I do about it) but it was worth it as my Improvisation, Shield Combat and Body Reinforcement Masteries got leveled up a whole lot because of it.

'What is it?! What did you find?!!' Angus whispered to me soon after I was done. We had on Notification Share so any notification we get is shown to each party member. Takes less time delivering a message, but it gets annoying when in repetitive situations.

'No, just another bug as you sho...' *Ping* Huh...?! What the....?!! Two in a row?!!!

I stopped the speedy little lvl6 beetle's charge with my foot and an activated mini Jet Booster, pushing it off and decimating it with a Shield Asunder, all within 3 seconds!

'Two in a row?' Angus whispered to me again.

'Yup. Think its a lead?' Two in a row isn't really common, but its not exactly been rare lately, so I wasn't keeping my hopes....

*Ping* Wait, another one?!

This beetle, a lvl7 this time came charging at me so fast I almost stumbled in surprise! Luckily I caught myself in time to start running some essence into my arm when,

*Ping* *Ping* two more showed up in the same direction, so I redirected the essence to my legs and kicked the bug upwards!

Upper Stomp Has Been Added To The *Unarmed Combat Series*

I paid no attention to the notification, and instead used Shield Asunder on a lvl6 beetle, burying my shield into the ground as its guts sprayed! One tug told me I won't have time to pull out my shield and attack at the same time, so I used my momentum spring over it and used a Stomp in the next beetle's head! The first beetle came back down right then and I ran some Explosive essence into my palm and popped it into the flailing beetle, popping a hole into its gut!

Having moves in a series makes it really easy to chain up e-attacks... dully noted!

'Five in a row?!!! Maybe we're getting close!!!!' I whispered to Angus in surprise. I looked around to find her but I couldn't see her, so I ran some essence to my legs and jumped up *LEAP*

I twirled in the air and found a colourful spray erupt from the ground a few kilometres away that I assume is Angus... as well as something else!

'Hey Angus.' I whispered the moment I landed,

'What is it?! I'm a little busy at the moment!'

'I think I found something.' I replied

'Where are you right now?' She asked immediately. Her readiness to jump into danger at the drop of a hat without a single moments hesitation scares me sometimes!

'North North West of you at few kilometres away.' I responded reflexively... What, her voice set me on auto pilot for a second alright!

Ten seconds later she was beside me, steam practically rolling off of her in waves!

She had been killing most of the monsters on our way here so her lvl is really high right now. Also, all of her attacks are mainly speed based, so her speed is a little ridiculous as well. That's the excuse she gave me for why she can move so fast at least, but I saw when she got that move and it was when she was running to (not away from... TO) catch this dragon fly-ish creature to hug it!!! It was not only the one of the funniest things, but also on of the cutest things I have ever seen! She'd kill me if she knew I saw here though.

And in case you're wondering, the bug turned to data dust when she caught it and some OTU (one time use) Wings of Speed fell on her. I hope she won't resent me for taking a screen shot of the look on her face.... better safe than sorry!

"Which direction." She asked as soon as she stopped. I didn't answer for a second, still shocked at how fast she got here! I'm not getting use to this for now am I....

She started staring at me and I snapped out of my dead fish moment when I realized it.

"This way." Then I ran to the direction of the object. The bug population started getting really dense as we drew closer, and Angus was getting fidgety. Her face was pretty natural in the wake of the destruction, even showing disgust where disgust was due, ever so often, when there was an exceptionally cute bug, I would see her facade fall for less than a split second before she pulled it back up, and I'm almost convinced that she kills them a fraction faster faster than the other bugs.... I never thought I'd see a tsundere in real life....

Soon, lizards started joining the fray, lvl7 being the weakest ones! Their speed was too much for me to handle, but Angus could take them on without much problem, but the bugs were following suite, with them averaging at around lvl8 and the lowest one being lvl6! We managed to survive the onslaughts, but not without some losses!

My attack shield was slick with lizard blood and bug guts and was next to useless for dissecting mobs now, plus the shield on my back broke! And as for Angus, her boots are almost worn out from all the running, and her tunic and leggings were wearing down with them. Also, half of her daggers are broken, including one of her Flint Daggers, with the other one near to it!

That's why we couldn't be happier when we got the notification:
