Chris and Jason looked up to the sky, watching hundreds of students leap up and charge at Class 1A. Chris smirked. "I guess they think they can take us out early!" Jason laughed. "The key word in that sentence is 'Think', brother!" Chris sidestepped some random guy who tried to tackle him. "Dumbass." Chris brought his knee upwards, knocking the wind out of the assailant. Chris yanked the guy's flag off. "Three to go!" Mina swung her arm, creating a wall of acid to protect the group's flank. "We're surrounded!" Momo used her quirk to create a shield. "How are we getting out of this mess?!" Jason smirked. "As a team." Luckily, they wouldn't have to do anything.
A student on the far side of the arena smirked. "The students from UA sure know their stuff. It's hard to believe that they're all in their first year." A blonde man with a black and orange hero uniform walked up next to him. "I can't believe those idiots got into UA…" The other guy lost his smile as he looked at the blonde guy. "You know those students?" The blonde scoffed, ignoring the question. The guy sighed. "Either way, those guys are a good team. We won't be able to get any of their flags as long as UA is together." He smirked. "Let's fix that." The blonde jumped away as his classmate activated his quirk, slamming his hands onto the ground. "Tremoring Earth!" The attack created a localized earthquake, destroying the ground beneath Class 1A and the surrounding area. The class was now divided. The blonde ran off. His teammate called out for him "Hey! We need to stick together!" "Shut up! That idiot in the black and red is mine!" The blonde ran out of sight.
Momo coughed as the dust settled. The once flat landscape was now covered in jagged rocks from that attack. She couldn't see any of her classmates. She was alone. At least, that's what she thought. Two guys ran out of the dust cloud. "There's one! Get her!" Momo raised her shield and created a baton as a weapon. As the two students tried to reach for the flag around her waist, she slammed her shield into one. The guy fell to the ground, holding the side of his face. "God dammit!" His friend tried to kick Momo, but she spun and slammed her baton into his face. The first one got back up, only to receive a kick to the face. Momo smiled as she took both of their flags. "Three down. Two to go." She spun around when she heard rocks moving behind her. Jason slid down a nearby rock and smiled at her. "Need a hand?" Momo laughed a little bit and lowered her guard. "Just finishing up here." Jason nodded approvingly. "I see you've been busy." "Well, after Fumikage kicked my butt in the Sports Festival, I decided to learn how to properly fight." Jason smirked. "No longer a pushover, huh?" "Not anymore. Let's go find the others." Jason mockingly bowed, holding his red cape to the side. "Ladies first." "You are such a brat." The two ran off to go find the others.
Shoto stood inside the city portion of the test site. She was completely surrounded. Each and every one of her opponents were wearing ninja style clothing, to include weapons and throwing stars. Shoto looked around. "All of you are needed to take me on?" The leader of the students stood upright. "Shoto Todoroki. Champion of the UA Sports Festival. Daughter of the Number Two Hero. You will be a worthy opponent for us, the School of Ninja Arts, to eliminate." Shoto raised an eyebrow. "Never heard of you." "Let's be real. You UA students don't know any other Hero School other than UA." Shoto sighed, lowering herself into a combat stance. "You better not take up a lot of my time." The entire class of ninjas threw their throwing stars. Shoto ignited her left hand, releasing a giant fireball. The stars melted in midair. They had just been a distraction and she knew it. She stopped her fire and slammed her right foot on the ground, creating an ice wall to cover her flanks. That was the right move. The class had immediately flanked her. Shoto's ice cut off most of them, meaning only a few attackers were immediate threats. Mimicking Jason, she rolled to avoid a charge tackle. Then she used her fire to melt the metal weapons the students had chosen to carry. Shoto smirked as she easily side stepped their leader. "For a bunch of ninjas, you're all very slow." The leader swung a left hook. Shoto side stepped again and delivered a powerful punch to his side. He fell to a knee. "Ow! What the hell?!" Shoto was still smiling. "The Sports Festival was a wake up call. I may have won, but Jason had kicked my ass without a quirk. He proved that it's not just your quirk and how you use it. Being a good hero is also about your skill without your quirk. It was a lesson I desperately needed." The ninja tried going for an uppercut, but Shoto backed up and delivered a powerful kick to his side. The other ninjas converged on her. Shoto smiled. "Frozen World." She let out her ice, freezing the entire ninja class in place. It was easy enough for her to take four flags and run to the gate.
Jason and Momo were up on some high ground, observing the battlefield. Most of the classes had given up going after 1A and were now focused on passing the test. Momo caught her breath. "These guys sure are tough." Jason shrugged. "They're all second year students from their own schools. They're expected to be top tier interns next school year if they pass today." Momo just sighed as she stood back up. "I need two more flags and you still need four. We should keep moving." Jason was silent. Momo looked back at him. "Everything alright?" "Someone's quirk is creating explosions over there." Momo looked in the direction he was looking. There were indeed explosions off in the distance. They appeared to be getting closer. Jason tilted his head in confusion. "They seem familiar somehow…" Momo took a few steps back. The explosions were now a few meters away. Jason dropped into a combat stance, recognizing his new opponent. "Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!" Katsuki Bakugou charged forward, screaming at the top of his lungs. "I found you, you son of a bitch!"
Mina and Kirishima were now in the city district. They had been climbing up a ladder when they stopped to watch Shoto's battle from afar. Mina was dumbfounded. "...I still can't believe how powerful she is…" Kirishima smiled down at her. "We'll be on her level one day." Mina smiled. "No we won't." "Not with that attitude!" The two friends laughed and continued their way up to the top of the building. At the top, they saw a bunch of unconscious students. Mina looked around. "What happened to these guys?" Kirishima tackled her out of the way of a kick. They both rolled away, turning to face their opponent as they stood up. The guy they were facing was wearing a tank top and shorts that stopped above his knees. He looked goofy due to the black hat with a gold logo. "You UA students are fast. I'll give you that much." Kirishima swore as he hardened his body. "Careful Mina. I recognize the hat. He's from the Shiketsu Academy." Mina dropped into a combat stance. "You mean the top hero school on the East Coast?!" The man glared at them as he slowly approached them. "That's right. We're the second best hero school in the country. However, we are your equals in academics, fitness, and quality of heroes that graduate every year. The only reason we're considered second at all is because of UA's popularity. We simply can't compete with that." The hairs on the man's arms began to stand up. "But I have made it my mission today to show the world just how much of a failure students from UA are." He charged forward to fight Mina and Kirishima.
Chris was on the run. He had more than enough power to take out his pursuers. However, he didn't want to hospitalize them by mistake. He punched a hole through one of the tiny artificial mountains and ran through. On the other side, he turned and let out a powerful flick to cause his end of the tunnel to cave in. The students that had been dumb enough to follow him through panicked and fled out the other side. That gave Chris some time to think. He only needed to get four flags. Then he could make a sprint to the gate. Chris glanced over at some nearby explosions. They were very familiar. Then Chris realized who they were coming from. "God dammit." Chris powered up so 25% of One for All was coursing through him and charged towards the source.
Jason backflipped off of the rock he had been standing on. Said rock was subsequently destroyed a split second later. Katsuki was on a warpath: he released powerful explosions from his hands, destroying everything in his way. Jason rolled backwards and then charged forward, catching Katsuki by surprise. Jason grabbed him by the neck and spun him, slamming him into the side of the nearby arena wall. That amount of damage would've normally put Katsuki down for a while, but he was almost like a completely different person this time around. The blonde was back up in a split second, using his explosions to propel himself forward. Jason was too slow this time, receiving a kick to the face. Jason rolled with the hit, immediately getting back to his feet and grabbing Katsuki's arm. The blonde smirked and brought his other hand up with the intention of blasting Jason at point blank range.
Jason spun around the explosion and slammed his foot directly into Katsuki's spine. The bully rolled several feet before standing back up. He winced as he stood up straight. Jason sighed. "I'll hand it to you, Katsuki: you really have improved since we fought in High School. I really wish we could keep going. Unfortunately, I need to be in the passing 100 so I can get my license." Katsuki gave a devilish smirk. "It'll be hard for you to be in the passing 100 when I take your flag." Jason smirked and dropped into a combat stance. "I suppose the only way for me to win is for you to lose." Jason's arms both became covered in red energy. Katsuki was completely taken off guard. "You have a quirk now?!" Jason was still smiling. "Let me show you what a UA student can do."
