The 2nd Sports Festival (Part 10)

Jason stood triumphantly in the first place spot. "I told you guys I would be taking this spot." Shoto playfully glared up at him. "Enjoy the feeling. I'm going to knock you back down next year." Chris leaned forward to look at Shoto. "Get in line." The three friends laughed together. Last year, they had been some of the strongest students in their class. Now they would be recognized as the three strongest in the entire school. The crowd was cheering as the three foot tall white rodent named Principal Nezu walked up. The crowd quieted down. "Hello everyone! Thank you all for attending the 2nd Year Students' Sports Festival!"

Chris took a knee so that way Nezu could place the bronze medal around his neck. "Chris, do not let this setback stop your progress. You are an exceptional student and have taken great strides of improvement since your first day here. I look forward to seeing what else you can do." Chris smiled as he stood up. "Thank you sir."

Shoto took a knee as the silver medal was placed around her neck. "Shoto, you may have placed second this year, but you have shown the most improvement out of everyone here. You have truly accepted your own power and I speak for everyone watching when I say your 'Apocalyptic Shock' was startling to say the least. I look forward to seeing what other creative tricks you can come up with." She smiled. "Thank you, Principal Nezu."

Jason took a knee. Principal Nezu placed the silver medal on his neck. "Jason, you were quirkless when you placed in third last year. Now that you have begun using your quirk, you have surpassed all expectations we could have had. I am honest when I say you truly have the potential to become the Number One Hero one day." Jason stood up with a smile. "Thank you sir. That means a lot to me."

Principal Nezu turned to the crowd. "This officially concludes the Sports Festival for our second year students! Tomorrow will mark the final day of the Sports Festival as we watch our third year students face off! Have a wonderful day and, always remember, to go beyond…" Jason, Shoto, and Chris raised their fists into the air, shouting in unison with the crowd. "...Plus Ultra!"
