New Weapons and Rides

While in the parking garage, Matt looked around for a vehicle that would suit his needs. The thought of having to make a vehicle crossed his mind, but he didn't know who successful he would be. He settled for crafting new weapons for himself.

The first thing he did was take out all of his current weapons. He had a short sword, a spear and a crossbow. The first thing that he wanted to remake was his short sword. It was effective, but a burden to carry around and it didn't compliment the current use of his powers. The first thing he did was to reshape it into what looked similar to a katana except it had notches in the blade and it had a single channel where the blade was supposed to be. Testing it out, he channeled his energy into the sword to make could only be seen as an energy blade.

Nodding his head at the new weapon that would give him better reach at close distance fights while still being able to use his power to gain energy made him satisfied with the idea. The next weapon on the agenda was the spear. It provided further reach and could be thrown if needed, but he felt that it needed for penetrating power.

After a few adjustments and sculpting, the spear had a spiral channel all the way up the shaft. It could also be disassembled for easy storage. The head of the spear had become that of a halberd with a channel for an energy blade as well as a spike on the top with a spiral channel to create a drill of sorts. Now the weapon was two fold since he could swing the axe portion to cut down his enemies at a distance as well as spear through defenses and impale targets while it was being thrown.

As for the crossbow, he discarded it entirely opting to create something entirely new. The first thing he created was a pistol. It didn't contain a magazine as he had designed it to function off of his energy. To test it out, he aimed at a near by car and channeled his energy. He formed a bullet then used his energy to propel it down the barrel. The result was like a small railgun as the bullet easily pierced the siding of the car. What he did not expect however was the residual energy vaporized a large hole where the bullet passed.

Thinking about how long it would take to fire the pistol in its current state made him rethink the magazine and altered the pistol to now a fit a magazine that he could channel his energy into to create rounds then it would be simple for him to pull those rounds into the chamber and fire them. Lessening the amount of time it took to fire also allowed him to use the energy better and fire the bullets with more speed and impact.

The next weapon that he designed was a rifle with a scope. He used the same principle as the pistol with the rifle. Using a magazine that he could reload with his energy. The rifle looked as though it would shoot .50 caliber rounds and had a very stable build. The inner channel that would allow him to charge his energy was tighter and looked like a screw down the barrel. To test this weapon, there was no way that he could shoot the vehicle on the roof since if he was right then it would probably explode.

Taking aim at a zombie a distance away from the mall, he charged up his energy and fired. The bullet punched a hole in the zombies mid section wide enough to blow it in half. Seeing the effects that his energy had while being fired he had a great idea. Channeling his energy in the barrel, he was able to directly fire it and hit a car on the street. The car instantly disintegrated as the energy spread to engulf it.

With the tests for his new weapons done, it was time to find or maybe alter and craft a vehicle. Searching the majority of the garage, he only found two vehicles that suited his needs. One was a large truck with a camper top on the bed and the other was a SUV. Settling on the truck, he had to think of a way make it usable with his energy so that he would never have to worry about it running out of gas as well as it not being stollen. He had already learned that his energy could be converted to physical matter so now he was going to try and convert it to a liquid.

The first few attempts were a bust as the energy just dissipated. On the sixth try, he finally made it stable enough to not just evaporate like normal water does. With that done, he placed his hand on the hood of the truck, altering it with his energy. The first thing that changed was engine so that I could properly run on his new energy liquid. Then the body, frame, axles and wheels all changed according to what he desired. The sides of the truck now appeared to be made of a reinforce material that should make it bullet proof as well as a wedge guard on the front bumper to allow it to push other cars out of the way. There were even energy channels on the guard to allow it to directly cut through vehicles without losing too much energy.

The windows of the vehicle were now bullet proof and shaded so that they could not be seen through from the outside to block out prying eyes. The final touch were the wheels as they were no longer filled with air, but a spongy material that was porous and light while keeping the wheel shape. This allows for the wheel to be shot or stabbed and still be able to continue to drive.

Now that all of his preparations were complete, it was time to clear up the infected surrounding the mall to make way for the military. For that to happen, he would need his group of survivors.
