Now that they were on the road, Matt was using his ability while driving the van so that it was easier clear the road while adding to his energy reserves. When they finally, reached the end of where the military had cleared to, Matt could see why they hadn't gone any further. There was a building that had fallen across the road during a fight with a particularly strong infected. Although they didn't manage to kill said infected, they managed to make it flee.

Matt got out at the building so that he would be able to use the full extent of his power to remove the debris. Deconstructing the fallen building took a little time and gave him a decent amount of energy to his surprise. When the last of debris was cleared, there was a large blockage of cars and other vehicles on the other side. Sighing, Matt could only go on foot as his group stayed in the vehicle while he cleared the way.

As soon as the road was cleared enough for them to start making good progress again, several groups of people surrounded the group. One man stepped forward making it clear that he was the leader of the group.

"Thank you for clearing the way to that weak military settlement. That makes it easier for us to go there to raid them for supplies." said the man as the group laughed.

Matt just looked at the man like he was dumb. Wasn't this guy watching while he was clearing the road? To face off against his ability would be beyond insane.

'He must have a god complex if he thinks he is that strong' Matt thought.

"Hand over all of your things, including that beautiful lady there. If you don't, we'll make things very difficult for your group." the man said.

The group that had surrounded them was looking at Morgan that had gotten out of the van to prepare for a fight. Matt couldn't help to burst into full blown laughter as this man had just laid claim to one of his group. The laugh was not one of humor, but one of anger at the fact this group of thugs thought they could take whatever they wanted just because they had sheer numbers on their side.

Noticing the anger of their boss, Chris and James stepped closer to Morgan. She was confused as the two did this as she was plenty strong to take care of herself. She glanced at the two and notice that they were sweating quite a bit. This just confused her even more as she couldn't understand why they looked so worried. Then she felt her eyes begin to sting a little, which alerted her to the fact that she too was sweating quite a bit. Realizing this, she slowly turned her head back to the man that saved her life with a hint of fear.

"You three take the side road and make your way to the military settlement. I'll head there once I finish with this group and the settlement they come from." Matt said without turning around.

"Hold on tight." Chris said to Morgan as he threw her over his shoulder and vanished with his immense speed.

James jumped across the roof tops to escape the area. He never once bothered to look back as he knew it was about the be a blood bath.

The group of thugs were surprised seeing the other three leave the way they did. They figured only the one in front of them was an ability user so they should have a chance to beat him. Little did they know, this was about the be the end of the line for them. Before they realized it, the boss of their group was dangling in the air.

"You lot must think you can do whatever you want just because there isn't any law now. I guess that its the same for me really. I've done what I can to suppress my demons all this time, but y'all just gave me the perfect excuse to go on a rampage" Matt said while gripping the leaders throat.

When he finished saying what he had to say, his hair which had been a mix of brown and midnight began to grow longer bit by bit as the brown was replaced by midnight black with streaks of blue. The full releasing of his power had finally solidified his most recent growth. The blue of his eyes now had a black star in the middle while his pupil was separated from it by a thin line of silver. The tattoos on his arms spread to cover most of his body. The tattoos on his forehead looked like an eye with a spiral in the center. It looked like a galaxy had painted itself on his skin every where else with a mix of blues and blacks.

Matt squeezed as he used his ability and neatly separated the leaders head from the rest of his body. Before the rest could even fathom what was happening, the massacre had already started. It barely took three minutes for there to be body parts strewn about everywhere. Not all those present were dead yet even though they were missing arms and legs. The wounds were sealed immediately since they were cut off but were actually removed through disintegration.

"Which settlement did you come from." Matt said to the man he was standing in from of.

That man continued to scream in pain however and never answered. Matt simply shrugged and simply pushed his glowing finger through the man's forehead, killing him instantly. Matt then surveyed the men laying around.

"Tell me which settlement you came from and I'll give you a quick and painless death. Otherwise, I'll start removing pieces the most painful way I can until someone speaks. Oh yeah, I can use this energy to keep you alive as well so you won't die to quickly. Don't worry though, I have plenty of time since my friends have all left." Matt said as his eyes were glowing.

"I'll talk! Please make it stop I'll tell you where it is!" screamed a man a couple of feet away.

Matt bent down in front of the man that was missing one leg, both arms, and an eye. The man quickly detailed which settlement was their base of operations. Matt nodded and deconstructed the man into nothingness. He then went around a killed off the ones that he felt fluctuations from while leaving the rest for zombie chow.

'Looks like these people will be searching for a way out by the time I get there. I left one intact to run away for a reason any way' Matt thought with a sinister grin. The hunters became the hunted, really all he had to do was follow the one that he let go, but he was feeling a little bloodthirsty at the moment.

With his direction set, he took off in pursuit of the one that had "escaped" since he knew the this one would take him to where he wanted to go instead of the one that lied just to get a quick death.
