Chapter 11 - Preparations

Callon took one final look around his home before leaving. He walked to a broker in the center of Candum's lower section and walked inside to sell his family home. Walking out sighing, he looks at the gold piece in his hand before putting it into his space ring. With that, he now had a total of five gold.

Callon then stretched before placing Neil and Reil into the pockets of his pants and then taking off on his jog to the middle section of Candum. This time he walked directly into the gates without being stopped by the guards.

Looking around, it has not changed much. There is still the loud yelling of people trying to sell their belongings.

"Big Brother let us go get your clothes from Realm first. Thankfully, you reminded Sigur to tell them to hold the clothes for two months." Callon nodded, agreeing with Reil, he walked towards Realm. After a short walk, he went directly into Realm where he saw Marj's brother and unsurprisingly Sigur. Callon rolled his eyes while holding back a laugh.

"Oh? Big Brother Siggy, fancy seeing you here. Aren't we supposed to meet at the Soul Hall?"

Without looking over Sigur laughed and replied, "I just missed my sweet little brother so much I had to rush over and see you in your new outfit. I haven't looked at them yet, this guy over here said it was a surprise." Then he turned around with Callon's new clothes in his hand while nodding towards Marj's brother, whose name is Marc. Marc had suddenly gotten a name tag.

Once Sigur looked at Callon he was shocked. "CAL! Why have you changed so much, it has only been two months. How did you grow to six feet already? And your hair has gotten longer, it's actually pretty handsome!"

Callon smirked, "I've always been handsome Siggy. Now give me my clothes. We have things to do before we leave tomorrow."

Callon grabbed his clothes while heading towards a dressing room Marc was pointing to, leaving Neil and Reil to sit on Sigur's shoulders with Amia. Within three minutes he walked back out and looked into a full length mirror. The outfit was a five piece set. It was a black short-sleeve long tailed t-shirt, slim black pants with ripped knees that were tucked into a pair of black combat boots. On his pants was a black leather belt with blood red holsters for his daggers. There were also hidden thigh holsters for throwing knives. What really stood out was the knee length hooded cape. The outside of the cape is a shiny black and there is a red begonia clasp at the neck, although the inside was also black, it was made of a warmer material. The inside had a design of falling blood red begonia petals until reaching the end.

With two months passing, he was working out and eating better due to not being poor anymore. Although he still had a slim build, his muscles were more defined and he had a sharper look in his eye. He let his hair grow out, so his black hair was longer and silkier but not long enough to pass his ears or completely cover his hairs. He had also grown from being 180 cm to 183 cm tall, finally reaching 6 day tall. Looking in the mirror, he was completely satisfied.

Looking around, it seemed everyone else was also in agreement with him. Sigur was nodding his head in approval, and Neil and Reil had giant smiles on their faces, while both Marc and Amia were giving him a thumbs up.

"They said you liked simple, but they also wanted to add some flair so we decided to make it match your daggers. If you look inside the cape, there's also a large pocket for Neil and Reil, which I added myself seeing as they love to be out with you. I had a friend add a few special features as well, it will grow or shrink with the wearer and there's also a bit of defense on it. It can take an attack from a True Realm cultivator without damage." Marc explained with a satisfied smile.

More than satisfied than he thought he would be, Callon went to pay, but he was interrupted by Marc.

"Sigur already paid the bill, and more. He actually had a set made almost the same as yours except his is black and purple, not even knowing what yours looked like."

Callon rolled his eyes and looked at Sigur, Sigur looked in the other direction, fake coughing. "We should go to a general store and get supplies, then get a map from Uncle." Sigur tried to smoothly change the conversation, Callon just sighed, deciding to drop it. He couldn't help himself, this big brother of his was just kind to him, so he wants to cherish being a little spoiled.

Walking into a store, Sigur and Callon got all the basic needs they would need for travel, including seasonings and kitchen supplies. Even dropping by a blacksmith to buy some throwing knives that Callon placed into his thigh holsters. For some reason, Sigur even argued they needed to get tents with sleeping bags which Callon reluctantly agreed to. After around three hours, they finally walked through the doors of the Soul Hall.

Immediately Callon's eyes lit up, the happy surprise evident on his face.

"We overheard you talking at the gate, we want to come too!" Enver yelled while Aden blushed with a slight nod.

Seeing Sigur's confused look, Reil whispers in his ear, "That's Aden, Big Brother's crush, and Enver is Aden's soul companion. Aden is too shy to talk so Enver just talks for him, but in a more straightforward manner I'm sure."

Realization dawned on Sigur, 'Ah, he is right, he is a beautiful boy. Blonde almost golden hair with golden eyes and long lashes. I can see why he fell for him at first sight. Won't be telling him that though, he may actually kill me if I did.'

Callon walked in front of Aden, Neil and Reil on either of his shoulders, with a bright smile that made him look more handsome. "With one condition."

Enver rolled his eyes, but before he could say anything, he heard a quiet almost inaudible voice.

"W-what is it?" As Aden spoke, he looked down with a bright blush. He has not spoken to anyone besides his parents or Enver for three years, but when he was with Callon his heart sped up and he wanted to speak with Callon without going through Enver, at least slowly.

Callon stared down at Aden, shocked by how gentle and angelic his voice was. Although he was joking before about a condition, Callon suddenly blurted out, "Go on a date with me."
