Chapter Twenty-One: Sacrifice!

(Levi's POV)

I held my breath, a bead of nervous sweat dripping down my forehead. "Did you say reincarnation?" Ryu asked as Erwin nodded slowly. "Yes. My grandfather, Elder Smith used a secret technique to seal the Goddess of destruction into Emi's Reincarnation. But that was a mistake. That type of power was never meant to be sealed." Erwin explained as I clenched my fist.

How could someone, who I thought was my best friend do something like this? Why did this keep happening to me? I questioned myself as I shook my head and collected my thoughts.

"So that's why she's part of the sacrifice." Ryu finally pieced together the information as Erwin nodded. My dark black eyes widened as I watched Ryu stand up, he headed towards the door as he stopped right before it.

"I'm going to check on the hostages. If you need me you know how to contact me." He stated as he opened the door and closed it behind himself. Nicolas tapped my shoulder, motioning for me to follow Ryu. I nodded as I turned, quietly crawling through the rafters.

Once Ryu was in a hallway alone, I jumped out of the rafter. Ryu quickly turned, only to get the tip of my boot against his jaw. He flew into the wall, gasping as his back made contact with the wall. I walked over, placing my blade against his neck.

"I suggest you tell me where my Cadet is." I warned as his navy blue eyes met mine. "And why would I do that?" He asked, his voice laced with cockiness as I sighed. I slowly pulled my blade away. He exhaled for a second as I pulled my foot back and jammed it into his mouth. He instantly began gasping for air and choking.

"Wrong answer." I glared at him as I increased the pressure of my foot. "I will ask one more time. Where is SHE?" I demanded, forcefully pulling the tip of my boot out of my throat as he gaged, trying to catch his breath as I bent down grabbing him by his silver hair. I placed the eager tip of my blade at his throat as I forced him to look at me.
