Chapter Thirty-Five: Cell

(Emi's POV)

I used my ODM gear to fly up to the top of wall Rose, where Commander Erwin had told Nicolas he would be. I landed a few feet away from Erwin as he smirked.

"I'm surprised you came, thought you'd put more of a fight up." Erwin admitted as I kept my hand on my blade. "Release LuLu and Yuri. If you don't I will do my best to not kill you." I stated as Erwin raised his eyebrow. "Make a deal with me, and I'll let them go." Erwin kept his eyes on me as I scoffed.

"And why would I make a deal with you?" I rolled my eyes as he smirked. "Why? Because we want the same things Emi." Erwin explained as I crossed my arms over my chest. "The only I want is you, dead." My eyes flashed from gold to red as Erwin smirked.

"Kami, we finally meet." He spoke softly as Kami glared at him. "What did you mean by a deal?" She questioned him as Erwin took a deep breath. "You stand trial for the crimes you committed. I will ask that you join the survey corps, under a special team I'm putting together. But, you obey my every word." Erwin explained as my eyes widened.

"Like hell." Kami scoffed. "Kami! Ask him what will happen to Levi." I instructed as she sighed. "Emi wants to know, if we agree to your offer what will happen to Captain Levi?" Kami asked, her voice tinged with annoyance as Erwin smiled.

"He will be fully pardoned on all charges, as will the rest of your comrades." He admitted as I closed my eyes, switching from Kami back to me again. "How do I know you will keep your word?" I questioned as he sighed.

"If I don't keep my word, I'll let you kill me. Torture me even." Erwin stated as I kept my eyes on him. "Kami has never been the type to obey, as I'm slowly realizing. How do you expect her to obey?" I asked as Erwin chuckled. "If you can not control Kami, I will kill Levi and your other friends." My eyes widened as imagines of Levi injured flashed in my mind.

"I swear if you lay a finger on Levi.." I muttered as Erwin held up his hand. "Then agree to the terms. Stand trial, become my cadet and serve for the survey corps." I looked at Erwin as I took a deep breath. "Emi, you seriously can't be thinking about this?!" Kami blurted out inside of my head as I looked up at Erwin.

"Give me a moment to discuss this with Kami." I asked as he nodded. "Of course, go ahead." Erwin stood as he kept his eyes on me. "Kami, this is the only option I have. I can't think of any other way to keep Levi and the rest of my friends safe." I thought to myself as Kami sighed deeply. "This could be a good opportunity to find out what Erwin has planned. I mean, we don't know exactly what he wants." Kami stated as I nodded.

"Fine. Erwin you have a deal." I stated, my nerves slowly filling me with anxiety as Erwin walked closer to me. He smirked as he reached up and touched my face softly. I jumped when his fingertips touched my chin. "Good." He whispered as I glared at him. A smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth as his gaze switch from menacing to alluring. I pulled my face away from his grasp as I sighed. "I see, I'm going to have to teach you how to behave. Won't I?" Erwin's eyes traveled down my body as I clenched my fists. Erwin grabbed my arm and began walking towards the outpost.

"W-Where are we going?" I asked him, the feeling of him touching me disgusted me. "We're heading to the court house, where you will stay in a cell until your trial." He explained as led me off the wall and down to the town below. "What about my friends?" I asked as he kept his grip tight around my wrist.

"I will release them once we have you in your cell." Erwin stated coldly as I sighed. My mind slowly drifted to thoughts of Levi as we headed towards the court house. "This is the stupidest thing you've done yet, Emi." Kami groaned in my mind as I looked up at Erwin, who was focused on taking us to the courthouse.

"It's the only opportunity we have Kami, maybe I can get close enough to Erwin to take him down." I thought to myself as Kami sighed. "Fine, but I'm eventually killing him. Unless Levi does it first." She admitted as I sighed to myself. Erwin and I arrived at the courthouse as many of the soldiers inside stared in fear as Erwin walked to the front desk, grabbing a pair of wrist shackles from the guard and fastening them to my wrists. I could feel everyone's eyes peering into me as I sighed.

Erwin lead me down to the part of the courthouse that had prison cells. The small cell was dark and musty as the only thing in the room was a ratty torn up bed. I stood in front of the cell as Erwin opened the door. A deep breath slowly escaped my lips as I walked in. He immediately closed and locked the door behind me. The clanking of the metal bars filled the room as Erwin left.
