The Commanders Daughter

  Waking up in the barracks didn't feel like it used to. I sat up in bed, shirtless as I sighed. I glanced over at the empty spot in my bed, imagining Emi's beautiful features as she slept. I took a deep breath and rubbed my eyes, finding the will power to crawl out of bed. I quickly got dressed in my uniform and opened up the door to Hange, staring directly at me. 


   "H-Holy shit Hange." I groaned, her presence startling me as she giggled. "I heard you were back Captain, so I had to see it for myself!" She explained as her expression quickly changed. "Captain, what's wrong?" She asked as I motioned for her to come in so I could finish getting ready. "Nothing, besides the fact the love of my life is stuck in prison." I harshly stated as I attached my ascot to my shirt. Hange's eyes widened as she leaned against the door and smiled.


     "So, the rumors were true." Hange stated as I turned to look at her. "What rumors?" I questioned as I put on my brown leather boots. She giggled and looked at me. "I hadn't excepted you to be the type to fall in love with a Cadet." She stated as I felt my cheeks blush lightly. 


      "She's not like other people Hange...She makes me feel human. She makes it okay for me to feel again. She's my reason for living." I admitted as Hange smiled and walked over to me, pulling me into a hug. My eyes widened as she sighed peacefully. "I'm so happy for you Captain. Never let go of that love. Love like that doesn't come around often." She spoke softly as I nodded in agreement. 


     "Hange.. I have a favor to ask of you." I mumbled. It was a long shot but Hange was in charge of our science team. Maybe she could help Emi's case. "Hm?" She let go of me as her brown eyes met mine. "Could you convince the judge that you could do research on Emi? I mean, she has a goddess sealed inside of her. I'm pretty sure that research could really be used." I stated as her eyes widened. Hook, line and sinker. 


        "Oh my Captain! The girl your with is the Cadet that has the Goddess of Destruction inside of her?! I HAVE to meet her!" Hange squealed with excitement as I sighed. "Yes, she is. And the Goddess name is Kami." I explained as Hange's eyes twinkled. "What is she like?! Tell me everything Captain please!" She begged as I sighed again. "Kami has quite the temper on her, and a very loud crude mouth." I explained as I blushed, thoughts of Emi naked randomly flashed in my mind as I took a deep breath to recollect myself. 


     "Ooo! That's amazing! Will you please let me meet her?!" Hange begged again as I smiled. "If you promise you will help her case in court, then fine. I'll let you meet my future wife." I stated as Hange's eyes lit up. "Wait, did you say future wife?" She asked as I nodded. "Look at you go Captain! Congrats!" She flung her arm over my shoulder and rubbed my head as I pushed her off and chuckled. 


    "Okay, now all I have to do is talk to Armin, Mikasa and Eren about her case." I stated as Hange looked at me again. "I can see if anyone in the garrison squad would be willing to help out too." Hange explained as I smiled. "Really? Thank you so much Hange." I stated as her eyes widened a bit "I think that's the first time you've ever thanked me... this girl is really changing you, huh?" She spoke softly as I smiled, thinking of my beautiful Cadet. "I guess you could say she is..for the better." I admitted as I smiled. Don't worry Emi, I'm going to get you out of there one way of another.
