Chapter 5

I felt like crying.I felt like calling Jason right now and telling him that ...I'm carrying his child..and he needs to divorce Sara and get his ass here in Canada. But ...I couldn't.God, I felt so stupid for doing ...ugh....I grabbed my bag and journeyed out.Where?.hmmm.....I had no idea.I was now walking and straying in the park.Canada....After a few hours of steering and observing little kids playing with their parents, I made my way back home.It didn't take long ...my house was just around the corner..I'm sorry.. my apartment.I immediately fell asleep on the the floor when I went home. After hours of steering in that ceiling....man my life is sad. I fell asleep a couple of minutes later. And I did not enjoy that sleep at all.

The next morning I woke up from a loud knock on the front door. Who is that?. I' m not expecting anyone, because I do not know anyone in this neighborhood. I managed to get up off the ground and make it to the door. I had a terrible pain in my back and neck. The person knocked again. " I' m coming!", I shouted annoyingly. I opened the door not believing who was before my eyes.  I had to blink a few times before I tried to close back the door. But, to my surprise she responded too quickly. She was too strong for me. " You let go of this door young lady!", she said pushing the door open. I let go of the door letting her in. She closed the door looking at me now. " Hi Aunt Sophia",  I said kind of smiling. " ugh, is that how you greet your aunt after so many years?", she asked pulling me into a hug. Oh boy. I hugged her back. She broke the hug. " Ah how did you find me?", I asked curiously. She rose her eyebrows. And it was then that I knew. " Of course, Phillip. He just couldn't keep his mouth shut could he?", I asked not looking at my aunt. " He has a right to tell me darling. Now pack your bags and let's go. You are not going to stay in this place. Where are your furniture?. No television?. ", she asked looking at me. " I just got here. And what do you mean by I should pack my things. I' m not going anywhere", I said looking at her. " That was not a question Jessica. Meet me outside in the next 10 minutes.", Aunt Sophia said making her way outside. " You're not going to help me!", I shouted. She didn't even look back. Ten minutes?. I packed up my things as quickly as I could. Not that I had anything to pack. I went to the rest room and came back in fly time. I knew my aunt was not joking when she said 10 minutes.

Fifteen minutes later I was in her car on our way to her house. The drive was mostly silent. Then she broke it. " What were you thinking Jessica?", she asked not looking at me. " I don' t regret anything I did Aunt Sophia", I said trying to convince her. " I don' t know what it is with these teenagers now a days.", she mumbled. I laughed. She glanced at me. " I ' m sorry ok. We were just two persons or desperate teenagers.....", I said when she interrupted me. " Please stop Jessica. Do you have any idea how much responsibility a baby is?. Putting that aside for a minute. Does he know?. Whoever the father is?", she asked. I didn't answer. She shook her head not looking at me. I folded my lips. " You need to", she mentioned. " I know. Just not yet", I said looking outside the window. " ok.....let' s change the topic. We are going to have to sit down one day and talk this through. This is not a topic to avoid. Here' s the plan. After you deliver this baby, you are going to head straight to Harvard. No questions. You are going to major in business, get a job, buy a house and a car and take care of your child. Do you understand me?", she asked with a stern voice. " Yes ma'am. I understand. And thank you so much Aunt Sophia. You are the best indeed. And I will not disappoint you.", I said looking at her. "I hope so. And Jessica?. It' s your life. You determine your own happiness darling. I only want the best for you.", she said assuring me. " I know you do. Dad almost killed me when he found out and you should have seen mom' s face. As if I was a disgrace to the family. And here you are giving me a helpful hand. Thank you so much. I will never forget this day. ", I said smiling. " You are most welcome. When was the last time you spoke to Liam?", she asked keeping her eyes on the road. I didn't answer. I forgot about him. Now he is the one who is going to be disappointed in me. Liam was Aunt Sophia' s  son. One of the closest cousins I had. We stopped talking after mom and aunt Sophia had a fight two years ago. A fight that broke the family apart. They've never spoken since. Neither did I or Liam. " I see. Jess, don' t let my relationship with your mom ruin the relationship that you and Liam had. He asks about you like everyday.", she added. As expected.  I fell asleep for an hour. At least the car was more comfortable than the ground I slept on last night.
