Chapter 3

Emily' s p.o.v

Everyone came out of the family car except for me.I' ll just stay in here. I should be able to hear the sermon from here. There was alot of singing and clapping on the inside. " hey!", matthew shouted knocking on the car window. I' ll be alright in here", I said. He shook his head and opened the door. I' m not leaving without you." , he said holding the door." Well you might as well grab a champaign or something, cause i' m not going in there" I said folding my arms. The next thing i knew I was out of the car from that hard pull he gave me. "Stupid big brother", I said looking at him. " Hey, have some respect little sis, you' re on holy ground," he said. " Let' s go", he said walking off. I stood up where i was looking around at the environment. Big church." Come", matthew said turning back around and pulling my hand. " Hey ", i shouted.

We reached the entrance door of the church. Matthew walked in and i followed behind him. Everyone was standing and praying with their ice block closed eyes. Some were staring at me and some were pretending to pray; others, just praying. We sat at the back quietly. I took out my phone when i felt someone drag it away from me. It was matthew ." Hey", i whispered to him quietly. " shhh", he mouthed out looking at me. I gave him a lethal eye and turned my attention to the persons at the altar. There was this one guy that caught my attention though. He was well dressed in a church like manner, cool black hair, brown skin, cherry lips, and the most handsome face ever. He caught me staring him down to the grave.Our eyes met four and i had to the ruin the moment and the silence; my hungry belly cried out. This is all mom' s fault; cold bacons. A couple of persons turned and  looked at me. I hid my face in my shirt. I swear I'm gonna kill myself. Matthew started to laugh at me. Worst day of my life ." Amen?" I heard the guy asked from the altar. " Amen", the church said. They all sat down. I removed my face from in my shirt and gave all my attention to the same guy who was at the altar. Looks like he' s the preacher.

Cody' s p.o.v

After what seemed like hours of starting at this girl who took my breath away. I managed to say amen . I observed her privately. Why was she wearing a shirt and pants; to church. I looked beside her and saw a guy; probably her boyfriend. I heard someone's belly cried out. Who would leave their house without breakfast. I looked at the same girl again who had her face in her shirt. Wow, caught her red handed. I smiled and chuckled at the same time. I went to the front and did the welcome. " Welcome, one and all, we're happy to have you here this morning. I' m gonna invite all the new members to stand and introduce themselves," i said. I looked at the same girl who slid down the bench hiding her face. " New members?" I asked. I saw a couple of persons standing. Well four persons actually.
