CHAPTER 14

ARTHUR POV

I have to go home soon. I promised Annie and Mia, that we'll having dinner tonight. I have to finished everything as soon as possible. Looking at my wrist watch, I guess its time to go home. I meet Annie this morning, cuddle with her, but now I missed her already.

Sometimes Billy look at me with his weird face, he's face depicts like I'm an idiot teenagers who in love. But I don't care about other people's thoughts. She's mine, and I love her so much. I can't wait to married her. I have to started preparing our weeding.

I walkout from my office, I told Billy that I will going home, I told him to dismissed my driver, I want to driving alone. I press the button then inside my private elevator. At my parking lot, get inside my car, starting the engine and driving out from my building.

Along the way I'm thinking of Annie, how this past month she's filling my day, cheering and make my day completely. I love spoiled her. Seeing how she reacted when I bought her something, always make me feel happy. To pleased her no need to buy her an expensive things. With just a small things she was happy.

I turn on the left signal, when I dont realized in front of me, a truck came with high speed. I felt my car hit something, everything going black, and suddenly I felt unconscious.

I heard someone crying, I felt she touch my hand, kissing my hand, its Annie voice "Baby, wake up, I can't bear loosing you, I needed you, I love you".

She's crying harder, but I can't reach her. I can't open my eyes, lift my hand, damn I hate hearing her crying. It broken my heart, especially when I'm the one who caused it. I feel sleepy and fall unconscious again.

When I open my eyes, I felt every part of my body is hurt. Its like beating with hundred people. I sit in the bed, looking at the couch, I see Annie sleeping in the couch. Some one open the door, whe I see its the doctor visiting me, I put my finger in my mouth then give the doctor signal to come near to me so he can speak with me.

The doctor peek at the couch, looking Annie sleeping, he nodded understand to me and getting closer to me and speak softly "Mr Knight you survive from blood loss, thanks to Mrs Edison, she's giving you her blood, so you can survive."

I asked to him "how long I've been unconscious ?"

"Three days and let me check you" he examined me, looking my vital, then he said to me "I guess you already in stable condition, just take a few days rest here and you can going back home"

After giving thank you to the doctor, I stand and walking to the couch and holding my IV. I kneel down, beside Annie, watching her sleeping. I still can't believe she's save me, give her blood to me. I'm so grateful having her, finding and loving her. I reach the piece of her hair and put it behind her ear, I stroke her cheek, kissing her forehead.

She open her eyes slowly, staring at me, she's blinking her eyes. It seems like she's felt like she's dreaming. She put her hand to my cheek, then suddenly she crying harder. I hold her, hug and kiss her head.

"You awake, oh my god, thanks god, " She's sobbing

I sit next to her, and she hug me and put her head in my chest while still crying. I soothing her, whispering good things to her, then she calm, and her body get relaxed.

"Sweetheart, I'm so sorry, don't cry baby, I'm here now. Thank you for became my lifesaver, for giving me your blood, you don't know how it means to me. I'm save because of you" I said to her

Still crying "baby, you're everything to me. I love you so much, I can't loosing you. When I heard your accident. I felt I going to die. If blood can save you, I willing do it for you"

My god, how can I be so lucky having a women like her, she's never asking everything to me, she always pleasured me, never mad at me.

"Baby, all this time you in here waiting for me ?" I wondered

"I never leave you, I stay here all the time, Pierre help me watching Mia, he such a good helper" Annie said

She stand and grab my hand, holding my IV, she insist I have to get back to my bed, she's afraid if I'm faint. Following her, just to make her calm, because I know how worried her. In bed, I hold her waist then she sit next to me. I want to cuddle with her

She put my head on her chest, I started smell my favorite scent. I missed that, she stroking my hair, and slowly I closed my eyes then started to sleep.

When I woke up, open my eyes, I see Annie sit in the chair next to my bed, holding my hand, her head in the bed beside my thigh. Watching her sleeping my heart fluttered, I never get enough for her. She done everything for me, saving my life.

I don't know how long I staring at her, I heard someone come inside, Billy my assistant, entered and walking next to me, he looking at Annie then he speak softly "Sir, I fell sorry for your accident. Its my fault because I didn't with you that night."

I just smiled at him "no its okay, don't blame your self. I'm the one who insist to drive alone"

Billy staring at Annie who still sleeping "She's a keeper Sir, all this time when you still unconscious, she refused leaving you. She loves you so much Sir, I can see how do you two interact"

"Indeed is true, I love her so much. I don't intend to leaving nor hurting her. I just can't imagine she do anything for me, that's make me more adore her"

Billy report to me that everything all related to company, and I fell proud of him for being my assistant. He handle everything, keep my company working running smoothly. I'm asking him to update me everything and he just nodded then leaving me.

I caressing Annie hair, she slowly moving, still holding my hand.

"Are you okay ? Does it still hurt ?" she's examine my body

I reach her, grab her hand the put her beside me, " Baby, sweetheart, I'm okay, I love watching you sleep. Makes me feel pleasant, calm, and relax. In fact, now I think I can going back home"

She pouted "No, until the doctor say so" she says sternly

I chuckled, I love when I make her mad like this, she's look adorable.

The doctor makes me stay for another two days in the hospital to make sure that I fully recovered.

While changing my hospital gown into my normal suit. I see Annie lay on the couch. Her face looks a little bit pale, I mental note my self to asking Pierre to make a proper food for Annie. I think she's exhausted because she taking care of me while I'm in hospital.

While everything regard to the hospital is taken care by Billy. Me and Annie going back to our home. In our way home, Annie scolding me never to driving alone again, I just hug her closely, smelling her scent, it become my habit near to her.

Arrives at home, I see Mia running to me, crying happy and hug me tightly.

"Daddy I'm scared of loosing you, don't ever do something like that again" she's sobbing.

I caress her hair "my daughter missing me, don't you ?" I teased her

She nodded her head still hugging me. I kiss the top of her head and lead her inside house.

Annie told Mia to leaving me, she said I still have to take a rest due to my recovery period. I take upstairs then open the room, get inside the bed, turn on the television. Annie come and take a set beside me. I pull her to sit on my lap, she put her head to my chest, we stay still for a moment, I heard her breath turn steady. I thought she must be very exhausted for taking care when I injured. I put her head on the pillow, I lay beside her, stroking her hair, watching her sleep, and I turn into deep sleep.
