Chapter 7: How to ask your not boyfriend on a date 101!

-The day right after Ryu's birthday-

-3rd pov (^-^*)ノ-

A day has passed since Noya and Asahi both admitted their feelings and you would think that would make them both happy and at ease right?....WRONG!

Asahi was currently at home ranting to Daichi about all that had happened while Daichi nodded and acted as if he didn't follow them the whole time they were away... yeah he wasn't doing a great job about hiding it but Asahi was too caught up in his nerves to even notice.

Meanwhile over with Suga, Noya was currently pacing back in forth in front of the couch where Suga and Tanaka were both forced to sit. Noya was currently going on and on about how this would be his actual first serious relationship and naming all the possible ways he could screw it up. Suga and Tanaka just nodded and tried their best to give their advice but when all said and done

Noya and Asahi were both petrified.

-Asahi's pov ┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘-

I was currently standing in front of my bathroom changing for the 6th time this morning... GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! Sure I confessed to Noya and He accepted but it's not like anything changed! unless it did? WAIT?! Did I even ask him out?! I instantly groan and yank my hair before yelling " AZUMANE YOU DUMBASS YOU DIDNT EVEN ASK HIM OUT?!" I stand in front of my mirror for a little while longer before I hear the door squeak I turn around and there stood Ryu holding his giraffe looking up at me curiously

"Papa are you okay?" Ryu asks hugging his Giraffe tightly " uhh papa's fine he's just a little angry with himself... I'm sorry I woke you up buddy!" Ryu then makes his way towards me before lifting up his arms and yawning "Carry!" I bend down and slowly swift him up from the ground he then nuzzles his head onto my chest and I can't help but smile and rub the back of his neck in a calming motion.

"In 30 minutes you have to get ready for school Ryu" Ryu then shuffles before placing his tiny little hand on my chest and looking up at me " Can shi-chan come home with us today papa?" I immediately feel my cheeks flush while Ryu looks up at me with his hopeful little puppy eyes... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY NOT TO THAT?! That's right, you don't.

I grin before lowering my head down to place a gentle kiss on Ryu's head I then hear fits of giggles come from under me and I smile " He can come but only if he wants too alright" Ryu quickly thrashes his arms up in the air before squealing " Yayyyyy!" I exit my bathroom holding Ryu in my hands before making my way to Ryu's room.

"Papa can I pick my own outfit today!!" I look down at him completely shocked " Sure but why do you want to pick your own outfit all of a sudden Ryu?" Ryu then flashes me a bright smile before holding up six of his fingers " Because I'm now 6 years old papa!! I'm a big boy now!" I let out a hearty chuckle " All right Ryu but just remember that orange and green don't go good together" Ryu then sticks out his bottom lip " Papa you're so meannnn all I wanted to do was look like murray the mango ~>_<~

I let out a laugh before smiling down at him " I know Ryu you were a very fabulous mango" For anyone wondering...Murray the Mango was a tv show that Ryu was obsessed with at the age of 4, well one day he decided he wanted to be a mango and he decided to dress himself in neon orange and green and Daichi just started laughing at him... after that if anybody mentioned the word murray and mango in the same sentence he would just start balling his eyes out... stupid Daichi... over here giving my son ptsd -sigh- 

Ryu then starts giggling " I'm gonna wear the sailor suit that Dai-chan got me!∩ω∩" I let out a gasp immediately feeling all the air leave my lungs... DID HE SAY SAILOR SUIT?! MY RYU IN A SAILOR SUIT?! THAT WOULD BE THE CUTEST THING EVER! It was times like these where I remembered

why me and Daichi were friends ≖‿≖

After a couple of seconds I reach Ryu's room and gently set him on the floor he immediately scurries over to his closet before pulling out a blue and white sailor suit with a bow around the neck. He holds it up eager to show it off to me and I just stare at it before beaming HE'S GOING TO LOOK ADORABLE! I then bend down to Ryu's level " Do you need papa's help to change or can you do it by yourself because you're a big boy now?" Ryu stares at me for a minute before holding up a thumbs up and cheerfully saying " I'll be okay papa! I'm a big boy now I can do it!"

I feel a big smile overtake my face and I slowly get up before making my way to exit Ryu's room " Well I'm going to go pack your big boy lunch now so if you need help I'll be in the kitchen okay?" Ryu nods completely awestruck his eyes never leaving the sailor suit.

I exit his room and make my way towards the kitchen. Once I reach the kitchen I make my way to the fridge and pull out the lunch I had previously made the night before. I start putting together Ryu's lunch when I hear little thumping footsteps approach the kitchen " PAPPPAAA! I need helppppp"  I immediately look down and spot Ryu who's holding up the bow with both his hands.

I examine him for a moment and take in his ruffled appearance and can't help but laugh before clasping a hand over my mouth... Ryu was standing here in front of me with his shirt inside out and his hair a now ruffled nest " PAPA DONT LAUGH!" Ryu then starts sniffling and I break out of my trance and quickly bend down to comfort him

"RYU! DONT CRY! Papas not laughing he was just errr....so happy because even though you're a big boy now you still need papa's help!"  Ryu then rubs his eyes and lets out a teary smile " y-you promise.." I look at him for a moment before looking away.... is this considered lying?! AM I LYING TO MY KID?! IS THIS THE TYPE OF PARENT I WANT TO BE?! but if I don't lie... he'll cry?! OKAY AZUMANE THIS IS FOR HIS OWN GOOD!

" Yeah, baby... papa's happy!" I quickly look away not being able to face my son after I blatantly lied to his face like that (个_个) Ryu's expression instantly changes from on the verge of tears to extremely happy " Yayyy I made papa happy!" Ryu exclaims I grab my chest GOD HE'S JUST SO CUTE!

Moments pass and I'm now fixing Ryu's shirt and tying his bow as he stands there patiently. I hear the front door open and Ryu suddenly perks up " Is that Dai-chan papa!?" Ryu asks curiously while staring at the door waiting for whoever entered to show themselves. I sigh knowing full well that it is going to Daichi and that I'll go from favorite to second favorite real quick (T＿T)

"YO! I BROUGHT DONUTS FOR MY LITTLE MAN!" Daichi yells popping his head into the kitchen the minute that Ryu spots him he starts squealing and starts jumping up and down waiting for me to finish tying his bow not even a second later I pull away and Ryu instantly dashed towards Daichi and looks up at the Donut bag he was holding

"DAI-CHAN!!!!!!" Ryu makes the grabby gesture with his hands and is practically drooling from the aroma the donuts were giving off. Daichi shakes his head " You can't have any unless Papa says it's okay!" Ryu instantly turned to look at me practically pleading with his eyes. I sigh before nodding my head and he lets out a high pitch squeal " PAPA SAID YES!!!" Me and Daichi look at each other before bursting out laughing.

"Here you go Lil dude" Daichi then bends down and places the little baggy in Ryu's grasp. Ryu gratefully accepts instantly opening the bag and taking a bite of what looked like to be a pig in a blanket. " Ryu make sure you eat af the table." I say in what Daichi says is my mom voice but I don't want to hear it from him... especially not when he wears a pink frilly apron to cook...-_-

Ryu looks up at me, his face stuffed before he nods and waddles to the living room table leaving Me and Daichi in the kitchen... alone.. oh god.

"So are you excited?" Daichi turns to face me simply raising an eyebrow I look away and figure it's best to play it dumb " Excited? about what?" I state before continuing to pack Ryu's lunch. Daichi stares at me before squinting his eyes and pointing at me " YOU CAN PLAY DUMB ALL YOU WANT AZUMANE BUT YOU'RE EXCITED TO SEE YOUR BOYFRIEND!" I wince at the word "boyfriend" ... you know why? BECAUSE MY DUMBASS FORGOT TO ASK HIM TO EVEN BE MY BOYFRIEND!

I slowly zip Ryu's lunchbox shut before raising my head to look at Daichi and mumbling " I didn't ask him to be my boyfriend...." Daichi stares at me for what seemed like forever before making his way towards me and grabbing ahold of my shirt " YOU FORGOT TO ASK HIM TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND?! ARE YOU THAT STUPID ASAHI?!" He then starts shaking me violently before we hear a loud voice boom through the house

" DAI-CHAN YOU BETTER STOP BEING MEAN TO PAPA OR IM GOING TO GO OVER THERE AND BE A MEANIE TO YOU TOO!" Daichi stops shaking me before looking at me confused " Did he just?" I simply stare in shock at the direction the voice came from and nod " Yup" Me and Daichi look at each other completely dumbstruck before he releases me and sighs " I don't know what to tell you man well other than GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!"

I chuckle a response before looking over to read the clock located in my kitchen which read 7:45 " We should probably start heading to his school now" I state before picking up Ryu's lunchbox and placing it inside his backpack and picking the backpack up and swinging it over my shoulder.

"RYUUUU ITS TIME TO LEAVEEEE" Daichi called before turning around and heading to the dining table with me not too far behind. Ryu was sitting in his usual spot munching away at his chocolate donut holes " I'm almost done papa!" Ryu said in between bites. Daichi and me waited a couple of moments until Ryu was finished. Ryu quickly rushed to the door to put on his shoes. Once he finished he turned around and looked at me and Daichi before exclaiming happily " Letsss goooo I wanna see Shi-channnn!!"

I chuckled and opened the door to exit the apartment. Dachi and Ryu were now in front making whatever goofy conversation came to Ryu's mind while I walked quietly next to them. I was now in thinking mode... What should I say to Noya?! Should I hug him when I see him or wave?! HOW DO I ASK HIM OUT PROPERLY?! By now I'm sure my head was letting out fumes and my eyes were probably bulging out of my head.

" Dai-chan... Why does papa look like me when I can't take a poopy?" Ryu turned to face me instantly snapping me out of my thoughts... DID HE JUST PRACTICALLY SAY I LOOK CONSTIPATED?! Daichi immediately let out a booming laugh before doubling over to hold his stomach while I tried my best to suppress the betrayal I was feeling ...(•̩̩̩̩＿•̩̩̩̩)

"RYUUUU YOU'RE HILARIOUS!" Daichi then swooped up Ryu and spun him around while Ryu merely giggled and said "weeeee" I'm pretty sure he had no idea he was insulting me.....BUT IT STILL HURT 😭 They continued to laugh while Daichi played airplane with Ryu. I took notice of my familiar surroundings knowing full well that Ryu's school was just around the playground.

I felt my breathing begin to become unsteady... JUST WHAT EXACTLY AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY TO NOYA?!  I was quickly erupted from my thoughts when I heard a familiar voice " stop laughing suga! I just want to errr wait for him... IS THAT WEIRD?!" I felt my breath hitch... Noya? I heard a little laugh come from a voice I was also familiar with...suga? " I just find it adorable that on your first day of dating you're waiting for him so patiently!" 

We turned the corner at that exact moment and Ryu instantly started squealing the moment he saw Noya. "SHIIII-CHANNN I MISSED YOUUUU＞ω＜" Ryu instantly starts kicking the air and Dachi sighs now knowing he's been replaced. Ryu instantly runs to Noya. Noya simply turns and flashes Ryu a heartwarming smile while Ryu practically jumps into his arms.

"I missed you too Ryu!" Noya smushes his face against Ryu's earning fits of giggles from him. He looks up in my direction and instantly makes eye contact with me. His face goes red but he doesn't look away instead he continues to stare.... as if reeling me in I steadily made my way towards him and right as I was a couple of feet in front of him I looked down at him and smiled.

Noya continues to look at me and returns the smile before hesitatingly giving me a hug with Ryu in his arms. I don't know what came over me but I hug him back tightly not ready for him to pull away anytime soon. " Uhhh... Asahi? My class is going to start soon.." Noya mumbles but not making any movement to pull away. I let out a deep sigh before pulling away but not before I'm able to snap an image with my mind of this moment.

"Wellll we should head up now right!" Suga interrupts clapping his hands while standing next to Daichi who simply nods. I notice Daichi eyeing Suga..... tone it down a bit dude...

Noya simply nods and continues to carry Ryu who is hugging him tightly I walk next to Noya casually brushing next to each other while making conversation.

It wasn't until we reached Noya's classroom that Ryu spoke again " OH SHI-CHAN!!! Can you come home with us today?" Noya seems surprised by the sudden outburst before a big grin is taking over his face " I'll come if your papa wants me to come!" Noya looks over at me and I flash him a grin before stating " Of course I want you to come!" Apparently, Noya wasn't expecting such a straightforward answer from me because he instantly becomes a stuttering blushing mess.... he's too cute. Noya gently sets Ryu down and Ryu runs into the classroom leaving my sight

The bell that's signaling that classes will be starting in 10 minutes interrupts our chatter " I should be heading down... I have work" I sigh sadly not at all ready to part from Noya just yet. Noya looks around taking in all the surroundings before pulling on the collar of my shirt and placing a light kiss on my cheek.

I immediately feel my face become flushed and I'm sure that I'm probably as red as red can be. "I'll be looking forward to going home with you today!" Noya states now fumbling with his thumbs. I let out a soft chuckle before pulling him into a warm embrace " I'm looking forward to it too Noya.." We stay like this for a couple of minutes until Noya shoos me away and now I have to return down to Daichi who's probably making a complete fool of himself while talking to Suga...

-Noya's pov ( ～'ω')～❤️-

I CANT BELIEVE I JUST DID THAT?! I close the door behind me and I'm immediately faced with my student in front of me looking at me eagerly " Was that your boyfriend?" Miya one of my female students asked. I hastily looked away trying my best to hide my blush " That is not any of your business children!" I simply state making my way to the back of the classroom beginning to set up the coloring sheets for today..

Was Asahi his boyfriend? They never really talked about it... I was so caught up in taking this serious relationship well... serious. I completely forgot that we weren't actually in a relationship... Was I the only one taking this seriously? I stopped myself before I could come up with any more ideas. I picked up the coloring sheets and passed them around before stating " I want you to color this NICELY! and after you finish coloring you can play with toys until recess!" I hear a diversity of noises come from my students as they all begin to run to the back to pick up their choice of colors.

I make my way to my desk and sit down before pulling out my phone hesitatingly... should I text suga and ask him about it? I decided to just do it and instantly send a message to him.

Noya looked down at his phone trying his best to stifle out his laughs... Ask him out? I never really thought of that... BUT SUGA'S RIGHT!! I NEED TO MAN UP AND ASK ASAHI OUT! That just seemed a whole lot easier to say rather than do... can I do it? NO! There was no "can" I WILL ASK ASAHI OUT. THAT'S FINAL!

Asahi was currently outside his work building waiting once more for Daichi. It didn't take long for Daichi to exit the building and make his way towards Asahi. They both greeted each other and made conversation as they made their way to go pick up Ryu. A thousand thoughts were going through Asahi's mind... He wanted to ask Noya out... BUT HOW?! How should he bring this up later?!  Like oh hey Noya! I told you I was maybe in love with you but I forgot to ask you out right after!.... Yeah, Asahi didn't think that would very well....

"Penny for your thoughts?" Dachi asked now looking over at his deflated friend already sure he knew what was already on the bearded jesus's mind and it had something to do with a 5'2 male who answered by the name of Noya. Asahi simply sighed and shook his head before answering " I'm trying to figure out the best way to ask Noya out.... since I already screwed it up once..."

Daichi let out a hoarse laugh before turning towards Asahi and stating " Just ask him! Don't overthink it and ABSOLUTELY don't panic!  You like him... just make sure to actually tell him that when you're asking him out dork!" Dachi simply yawned and stretched his arms up. HOW DID HE JUST DO THAT?! How was Daichi able to give some of the most logical advice he's ever received and yet still manage to act younger then his 6-year-old son when they were together... it would forever be a mystery to Asahi...

" You should take your own advice" Asahi mumbled before running his fingers through his hair. This confused Daichi " What do you mean by that?" Asahi simply shrugged and continued " Your dating Suga but if you don't start acting like his boyfriend he might leave you" Dachi almost had a heart attack right then and there... HE HAD COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS STILL FAKE DATING SUGA.... and he sure as hell wasn't going to tell Asahi right now!

" uhhhh yeahhhhhhh" Dachi answers awkwardly before quickly changing the subject " How are you planning on telling Ryu?" Now it was Asahi's turn to almost have a heart attack... HE HADNT THOUGHT ABOUT THAT!? HOW WOULD HE TELL RYU?! Asahi now had a panicked expression located on his face. Dachi let out a huff of air before slapping his back " Woah there calm down buddy... you don't have to worry about that till after you make Nishinoya your boyfriend"

Asahi simply let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding... Dachi did have a point....but now Asahi was even more panicked.... JUST HOW WOULD HE ASK NOYA OUT?! AND HOW WOULD HE TELL RYU ABOUT IT?!

Apparently all this panicking made time zoom by because Asahi and Daichi were now standing in front of the school building. " You go get Noya and Ryu and I'll get Suga!" Dachi smiled before running off inside leaving Asahi to walk in alone and nervous.

He was practically fidgeting his was to Noya's classroom... STAY CALM AZUMANE! STAY ABSOLUTELY CALM! Asahi constantly reminded himself as he was now outside of Noya's classroom. Before he could even knock on the door Noya had opened it and was now staring at Asahi while holding Ryu with one of his arms.

" Oh hey! You're finally here... I was going to go wait for you in the front since all my students have already left but seems like you came to get me..!"  Noya was now smiling brightly at Asahi and all the nerves that Asahi had felt before were vanishing with every passing second. He probably would've kissed Noya right then and there if it wasn't for the very much awake child in Noya's arms that just so happened to be his.

Asahi smiled and opened the door so Noya could exit without having to haul it open while carrying Ryu. Ryu was peacefully beginning to doze off in Noya's arms and Asahi didn't know who to be more jealous of at this moment... The fact that he wasn't being held by Noya or the fact that Noya was holding his adorable son... Asahi settled for both and continued to walk side by side with Noya while they made small chatter as they made their way to the front of the school building.

"Oh yeah! Is there any way we could talk later... in private..?" Noya asked becoming rather flustered but trying his best to be as courageous as he could be... He reminded himself that HE ABSOLUTELY WAS GOING TO ASK ASAHI OUT no matter what! Asahi stared at Noya curiously... he wanted to talk to him?! IN PRIVATE! WAS HE IN TROUBLE?! Before Asahi could voice his panicked expressions Noya interrupted and continued " OH! It's nothing bad.... just something we should talk about!" This washed most of Asahi's worries away but not all of them. He wouldnt be Asahi Azumane if he couldn't find some way of worrying when there was none.

Asahi and Noya continue to walk towards the front of the building before they quickly spotted Daichi and Suga both blushing while laughing amongst each other. Noya and Asahi looked at each other before smirking both overjoyed with the sight in front of them.

"Oh you guys are finally here we've been waiting!" Suga called towards both Noya and Asahi. The two smiled a continued to walk till they were 3 feet in front of Daichi and Suga. Ryu shuffles in Noya's arms before groaning and burying his head deeper into Noya's chest. This caused Noya to let out a pleasant hum.... In a weird way he felt like Ryu's mother which he knew wasn't the case but the thought still gave him joy.

"Noya I swear you're like Ryu's mom!" Daichi exclaims bringing Noya out of his thoughts. He quickly became flustered and whispered " w-what! n-no I'm not... I just care about him!" Suga and Daichi both laughed before Suga spoke first " In a way, if you think about it you are kinda like Motherly figure it's adorable!" They continued to laugh before turning to walk away leaving Noya and Asahi by themselves behind them.

"I'm sorry about that... they should've been more considerate to Ryu's mom..." Noya mumbles while facing another direction due to the fact he can't face Asahi. Asahi looks over at Noya and sees his dejected expression.... it made him happy that Noya really wanted to be a part of Ryu's life and in a weird way it overjoyed him that people saw Noya as a motherly figure towards Ryu... because Ryu had finally gotten a motherly figure... and Asahi couldn't be happier that it was somebody he loved.

"You know you really kinda are like Ryu's mom" Asahi smiles taking a hold of Noya's available hand " I am?" Noya turns to face Asahi rather shocked before Asahi brings Noya's hand to his mouth and places a light kiss on the back of his hand.

"Ryu loves you and I've never seen him cling to anyone like he clings to you and you're always so protective of him... so is it weird that I'm kinda happy Daichi sees you as a motherly figure to Ryu...?" Asahi mumbles out the both now walking behind Suga and Daichi who were also having their own conversation.

When Noya heard those words come out of Asahi's mouth he nearly did a front flip but he stopped himself because he remembered he was holding a child... well his child;)

"I'm more than happy to be a motherly figure to Ryu... In fact, it makes me happy when we're like this ... it makes me feel like we're a family..." Noya mumbles while blushing. Asahi stares wide-eyed before leaning down to place a kiss on Noya's cheek " Me too... I thought I was the only one who thought that way..." Noya and Asahi both flash each other lopsided grins before looking down at Ryu who is snuggled on Noya's chest without a care in the world.

Noya and Asahi continue to walk behind Daichi and Suga. The four of them making their way back to Asahi's apartment... Where Noya and Asahi were going to do ABSOLUTELY everything to ask each other on a date! That's right they didn't forget! They were both even more fire-upped now!

Noya and Asahi were both innerly panicking but were trying their best not to show it. They both thought to themselves before turning the corner to view Asahi's apartment which was now in sight.

"It's now or never Azumane/ Yuu!"
