"Master."
Kyo SeolJu's secretary, Lee BeomSeok, handed her a large stack of files.
"BeomSeok, did you miss me?"
Kyo SeolJu's sweet smile did a number on Kang SeoMin's heart, but the stony faced secretary was unfazed.
"It is good that Master is back."
Although Lee BeomSeok's handsome face looked colder than an icicle, Kyo SeolJu took note of the small upturn of his lips.
"You are still the same rock that I left. Your name suits you well."
Her lips curved slightly as she flipped through the files. The family and sevants were bewildered by Kyo SeolJu's plan and didn't know where this had come from.
"How did you know I had a concert coming up? And when did you come with this itinerary?"
Kang SeoJun leaned over the table as if he would miss something she said.
"I keep up with my family's doings. If anyone else has questions."
Her smiling eyes scanned the room as she went back to her file.
"S-snowflake, you just got back. Why don't you rest for a while? Then we can start planning."
Her worried voice was coaxing as Kang Yeona tried to reason with Kyo SeolJu.
"Mom, I have been "resting" long enough. I am the only daughter of the K Empires. This is what I should do. The twin's clothesline will be modeled by me. It will help my composer, and songwriter image and give the brand more popularity. I'll take first place in the world music competition, which will benefit my career. Music will be handled during school hours, with events being the only exception. After school, I'll go to the company. All important meetings will be held in the afternoon. I don't want you to worry, but I start school tomorrow so I must sleep early. If you have any questions, ask BeomSeok."
Kyo SeolJu never looked up from the files as she spoke.
"Snowfla- Lee BeomSeok did you know about this?!"
Grandpa Kang yelled as he glared at the calm Secretary Lee.
"I left Master's phone on the plane. She used it to give me my orders. Master, you should sleep early."
Secretary Lee rubbed Kyo SeolJu's shoulders as he glanced at her grandfather.
"Mmm, BeomSeok, have these implemented immediately."
Giving a slight bow, Lee BeomSeok took the files, handed her a phone, and pulled her chair back.
"Little empress, you should sleep early."
Her old nanny gave her shoulder a small squeeze.
"I will, thank you. Am I really the empress?"
Holding the old woman's hand, Kyo SeolJu gazed at her family quizzically.
"Yes, dear, you are the empress of us all."
Father Kang looked at her lovingly as he confirmed.
"Empress."
Her tongue drawled out the word, and her voice went from sweet to cold in mere moments.
"What's our most lenient punishment?"
"The person will be blacklisted from everything associated with the K Empires' name."
Lee BeomSeok answered nonchalantly as if the punishment wasn't ending someone's life.
"I see. You."
Pointing to a young girl at the end of the line of servants, Kyo SeolJu called her over.
"Your face is pretty."
"Thank you, Em-"
Kyo SeolJu interrupted the girl standing before her.
"It must have cost a fortune."
The girl was horrified and at a loss for words.
"I suppose your payment wasn't enough to cover the expenses. Tsk!"
Clicking her tongue, Kyo SeolJu observed the girl for a moment before a small child tugged on her dress.
"Imo!"
The child's babyish voice and pronunciation melted Kyo SeolJu's heart as he raised his arms, wanting to be held.
Picking the child up, Kyo SeolJu cradled him in her arms and looked back at the trembling girl.
"I suppose I can help you a little. Say meow."
Holding up the phone, she put a cat filter on the camera and hugged the boy in her arms.
Looking at the picture, Kyo SeolJu smiled creepily and seemed to give the phone to the child. The baby's hands were so small that the phone slipped and fell to the ground. The girl burst into tears seeing her shattered phone on the floor.
"Uh oh."
The child's response was adorable as he looked up at Kyo SeolJu with tears.
"It's alright."
Softly rubbing the baby's head, she gazed at him dotingly.
"Don't worry about what you will do after this. Your living expenses will be taken care of, and you will have work. Your pretty face will be a big help to you."
Being blacklisted by the K empires typically meant you had to leave the country. The girl was given a second chance, and she knew it.
Bowing as low as she could the girl cried as she said thank you repeatedly. Secretary Lee signaled the bodyguards to take the girl out, and Kyo SeolJu's aura went from coldly domineering to sweet and doting.
"When did I get a nephew as cute as you?"
Her smiling eyes and soft tone surprised her family because her temperament changed quickly.
"If you wish to talk, do it before dinner is served."
Her "kind" reminder set off a chain reaction in the room, and suddenly there was a lively conversation.
