A-maze-ing

It was easy to understand that the unnatural architecture was a maze, even though all that was visible was a single entrance.

The walls were made of a dark substance that seemed to be alive as I could see movement swirling in the material. As we approached, my heart started beating faster and I felt a dreadful anticipation coursing through my body.

We were at the lair of a demon lord and we were not there to deliver a house warming gift.

Once the dark walls were within reach, a deep purple portal sprung up between the entrance. From my skim sessions of the dungeon reports, the entrance looked exactly as I imagined the front door of the dungeon had looked.

"Do we go in?"

April asked the logical question, it was probably not the best idea to walk into a portal with no clue of where it led. Especially if that unknown location was the home of a powerful enemy.
