A chorus of trumpets and other brass instruments suddenly break the silence, and the two can see the sheer amount of men that was allocated for this occasion. Ranks of the Royal Guard and soldiers secured the route from the entrance of the capital, all the way to the entrance of the imperial palace. Any civilians passing by would be advised to keep some distance away that would be marked by temporary barricades that were put up for this occasion. Anyone who was caught too close or was at the barricade was promptly shoved away from surrounding troops as a precautionary measure. These were few, and Kaze only noticed one of those incidents.
"It would be rude to be the last to arrive in the assembly. Let's move, Kaze." Jerome brings Kaze back to reality, gesturing him to start moving back while the fanfare and a whole parade was taking place around the outskirts of the capital.
