Chapter 106

Aiyana stood outside the twin glass doors of the office. Fingers brushing back the loose strands of hair that stuck out of her ponytail. Sleep made many people wake up pretty, but a disturbed sleep crouched up on an airplane while resting her head against Chris did not work wonders on her skin. But she was determined.

She had to do this; confrontation had become a necessity. To save her mother from looking like a fool. From a life of misery.

And yet, Aiyana found that she was not ready for this conversation.

Nonetheless, she placed her hand on the glass pane of the office door, waiting just a moment, letting out a sigh before she pushed the door open.
