Nelly White is rich. 

Cole Cross is poor.

She drives expensive cars. 

He repairs cars. 

The only thing they have in common is their ability to piss each other off. Nelly wants to prove that she has more power and wasn't afraid to show it, but Cole wants to prove to her having a lot of money didn't mean anything when he could use this strength to push her against the wall and burn out the fire inside her.

Tease 

Lucy was waiting for her at the parking lot of Linkin Academy. She was going through her phone, but as soon as she saw Nelly parking her car, she pocketed her phone and jogged over to her. Nelly pulled the key from the ignition and drummed her fingers against the steering wheel thoughtfully, staring out the windshield, watching her best friend jog to where she parked. 


A little bubble of excitement sprang from her belly, and she jumped out of the car with her handbag in hand. A stream of students were walking from the parking lot toward the front of the building. 


"I've missed you!" Lucy hugged her, and Nelly could feel how much she had missed her from the way Lucy kept her arms tightly around Nelly like she wanted to suffocate her, but she still laughed when her best friend squealed and jumped in her arms.
