Chapter 6- A Race for Her Heart

October 27th, 2046

(Noah's POV)

After the incident that happened at Ally's shack, something weird has been going on. I mean I haven't stopped flirting or being nice to Ally but, I don't know. She rejected me after all. I could look at her and see that something was wrong. She looked sad, distant, as if she really wasn't there. I wanted to help but I don't know how.

She really matters to me. And I don't want anything bad to happen to her. She's really an incredible person. And it hurts me to see her like this. I really don't know what to do.

(Ally's POV)

Gosh. How stupid am I? How could I do this? Do I love him? No stop. I don't love him. I barely know him. Besides, he isn't that attractive, or is he? I'm not sure of anything right now. I feel terrible, as if I have been carrying something very heavy and I'm so tired from doing it. I just feel like giving up, going to sleep and never waking up again. The cuts on my forearms hurt a lot. Every step hurts, it hurts a lot. I'm walking to class right now. I think one of the cuts reopened, because I feel something warm and heavy slip down my arm and drip to the floor. I faintly hear Noah calling for me. I can't see anything, it started this morning on the edges of my eyes but now everything went black. My body hitting the floor is the last thing I feel before losing consciousness.

A white and bright light shines atop where I'm laying down. There's a needle on my arm connected to an I.V. that must be good, I don't know. And I don't care. Someone's beside me. Holding my hand. Crying. His brown hair is messy and very untidy, as if he had been racking it for a long while. He looks up to my face, his grey eyes look like crystals with streams of tears running down his cheeks. He sees me awake, he must because his face relaxed for a second before he turns into a fury.

–How could you do this to yourself?!– he screams as he cleans the tears from his face– I was dead worried. I've been here 11 hours beside you, waiting for you! Your heart stopped twice! You were dead for one minute!! I don't understand you, I really try to but this I'm not going to go through this again. Your toxicologic exam came out positive for you know what?! You were drunk as hell, your arms are a f*cking crossword puzzle, and you died Allison, you died! I thought I'd never see you again. I don't know what to do.

–A-a-a-alli-alliso- allison– I manage to say.

–Yeah, it was on your hospital record.

–I-i'm so...

–Don't talk, you're still too weak. You lost a lot of blood, aside from the fact that you walked more than a mile with blood dripping out of your arm. Rest, I'll come tomorrow.

When I fall asleep, I see him, his nice smile, his warm and welcoming eyes that make everything feel right. I can't hold it, I don't know for sure, I'm not a very impulsive person. I always think this stuff very thoroughly. But this feeling, it's too strong. I'm not sure what it is, but I think I love him.

The next day he came, closely followed by Lyla, she hurried over to me and hugged me. I let out a strained groan and she let go. She looked very worried. Noah sat beside me and looked at the window.

–Noah.

–Mmm– he answered.

–I love you.

Well I said it. The reaction I expected was nothing like what happened. He immediately turned as red as a tomato, he went out of the room, more accurately stumbled out. He really was shook by what I said. Still, I was still too weak to follow him out. I stayed there, unable to see what I had done.

(Noah's POV)

–I love you–Ally said. Wait, WHAT! OMG, OMFG, how, wha? She said that she. OMG. I'm, I, I need some air I'm not well I. I mean she just rejected me less than two weeks ago and now she says that she loves me. I mean, it's just too much to process.

The first snowfall of the winter came down as my feelings for Ally became more and more conflicted. We avoided each other for a while. We haven't talked to each other since she was in the hospital.

I was walking through Heroes Av. when I saw her coming by. She took me by my arm and walked me to an alley. She pinned me down to the wall and kissed me passionately, her tongue roaming through my mouth aggressively. She turned away from me and something was off. Her hair and her eyes were pale blue, and she was smirking maliciously. Then from a second to the other, her appearance turned back to normal and she looked terrified.

–What the f*ck just happened?– she asked in a very scared tone.
