Dariya packed all the albums and photo frames she had in her room with her brother and dumped them down the floor from the staircase. The maids in her house came running. "Ma'am, what happened?" The eldest maid in the house asked her. The glasses in the frame shattered into pieces all around the large sitting room. Her brother and sister in law came running hearing the noise. "What the heck Dariya?" he shouted at her.

"You don't even deserve to talk to me, my so-called brother." She replied to him coldly. "Dariya language." Nara, her sister in law warned her. But Dariya gave her a piercing look saying, "My brother in those pictures are dead just like those memories she said looking at the broken frames and scratched photos lying down.

Dariya and Devon were the ideal sibling's people looked up to until Dariya's 18th birthday. Born after eleven long years in the family, Dariya was loved dearly in her home enjoying every aspect of a family life. A past that she wished she could return to, a past people have been jealous of. To have born into her own happy world with loving parents and a brother she could get the best, enjoying the aspect of having power and money in society. But a political marriage to continue with the family business seemed to have destroyed the life, her life, neglected and controlled. When her father Heiden had the tough competition in the food products industry the only way Devon found to overcome was the political marriage between Devon and Nara, the daughter of his competitor, to survive in doing the business getting all the merits. When her brother announced that he has decided to marry Nara, when the public roared in happiness with marriage between two different ideal families, Even Devon didn't expect the changes that were about to happen. Devon changed the occasion of Dariya's 16th birthday to his engagement day without even asking his own family trying to cover the business that might have been shut down. Though Devon did that for the sake of his family to have the highest financial stability, Dariya dreamt differently, not having to put up a show all the time in front of the cameras, dreamt differently about the countryside, pottery, and a small house where her family lived happily. Nara was the opposite of Dariya. To Dariya, Nara was an unfortunate tragic queen brought up to live a doll's life, to live like a proper lady, to speak only calmly and very composed, dress like an upper-class lady and go to privileged places. Whereas Dariya was brought up to live like a normal civilian by her parents. Devon learned Nara's family and business tradition quickly. But to Dariya, the changes were unacceptable and mad. Heiden and Kiara, Dariya's parents lived a quiet life after their son taking over the business, making only limited comments, just letting him be, even when the in laws began to rule over the family, ignoring her parents. But they weren't ignorant to the struggles Dariya was going through. Yet chose to let it be, feeling too powerless.
