Where Are You, Mae?

Adrien yelled, clutching his heart. Surprise flashed through Luvi's eyes and she knelt down in an instant, touching Adrien's cheeks. "What's wrong, Rien?"

He grimaced, the pain inside him slowly receding. "Don't call me that," the boy said through gritted teeth. Sweat decorated his forehead as he tried to gather his sense, his evergreen eyes now in a gloom like he had seen something horrifying.

Luvi rolled her eyes and grabbed his shoulders and laid him down against a tree. "What's wrong? Tell me. I'll cast a spell to calm you down."

Adrien shook her hands away. "I don't think this can be cured with a spell." He flinched as a shot of pain went through his heart again and he looked up at Luvi with blurred eyes.

She placed a palm on his chest anyway and closed her eyes. "I'll be using my maximum mana on you, so don't be scared if I faint. Just feed me some of your fruits when you're okay." She smiled sadly and started a spell.
