Closer

They were exactly 6,764 meters away from each other as of the morning of someday. Mae had found the notes lying next to her and rushed immediately to the village where the Healer was. 

By the time she reached there, she found Jake lying on a bench and Ashe sitting with her eyes closed and head leaned against one of the walls of the town hall. She stepped closer to her and saw that her eyes looked tired. Her skin was pale and…at the corners of her eyes were tears. 

She placed a hand on her cheek. "Character Profile."

"Hmm…" she glanced at Jake and checked his wounds before going into the deep alleyway that lead to the Healer's house. The house was empty but she knew the healer should be here somewhere.
