Saye took a deep breath. "No time to explain the full thing, but tell me this. Do the Spiders live in the Marina Trench?"

Ashe looked around at her feet, trying to grope her brain for an answer. Do they? Do they not? "Uh."

"Yes, yes they do," Jake answered for her. His eyes were closed as he concentrated on the memories inside Ashe's head. "And they take the humans they kill and convert them into Vislates through the Beamers they have already created using the Breakfire, something that you humans know as MetaCode."

Ashe's round orbs widened as Jake continued, still having a better grasp on her memories than herself. "My father… I mean Ashe's father supposedly stole this energy source called Breakfire from the inhabitants of another planet named Zeliar and brought it to Earth. Now the Zeliars are here as Spiders to get back the Breakfire."
