4. Declaration of War II

The young man's eyes widened and he grew even paler. His mouth opened and closed as if he wanted to say something but didn't have the strength to say it.

"I-I c-can't say it. M-my family, he'll kill them I-"

"And you think I won't?"

The room went silent. My jaw locked in shock and my whole perception of my boss was altered. What is she saying?

"Ma'am you can't do that, they're innocent!"

"You are not in the position to tell me what I can and can't do. This man should've known what would happen if he dared to cross me. Now tell me, man! Or your family won't hear the end of it!"

The man choked and he forcibly opened his lips.

"I-It's all pretend. H-he sent you an invitation and organized a party after he hired men that would act as robbers and kill you so the blame wouldn't be on him." The man said, his voice shaking terribly.

"Good, now go and don't let me see your face again."

"But my family, how can I help them?" The man asked.
