Project Burn the Witxh. It was the name of the plan to hunt Olivia. And yes, the 'x' is intentional.
Bryce suggested it like that as to not offend the Wiccans. Starting today, Olivia will be known as the Witxh for distinction. The threads that hold races together were wearing thin. One wrong move and a war will break out.
I had also known about the existence of the Patron Gods and Goddesses. For each race, the Moon Goddess assigned a Patron to help her guide her children.
Shapeshifters are those who could shift into animals like us. Our Patron God was Howl the Ever Shining. Vampires worshipped Freya the Ever Youthful.
Wiccan was the shorter and more gender-neutral term for witches and warlocks. Their Patron Goddess was Voodoo the Ever Charming.
The Fae, which includes fairies and pixies, has Flora the Ever Fertile. The Merpeople, which includes the sea folk and deep ocean folks, has Poseidus the Ever Tranquile as their Patron God. Finally, the swamp dwellers, which include the goblins and orcs, has Grock the Ever Murky.
While each race has different patrons, we worship the Moon Goddess as a whole. They are our Patron Gods and Goddesses but our creator was still the Moon Goddess.
"We will meet with the werecats," Aaron said as we drove through the Safari.
All the werecats live in the same domain. Unlike werewolves, the only canine shapeshifters, werecats have four species namely werelions, wereleopards, weretigers, and werecheetahs.
"Babe," Stephen called out. "I guess this goes for you too, Lawrenceville. The cat folks aren't as open as us."
"In what way, Alpha?" Lawrence asked and looked at us from the rearview mirror.
"They have different beliefs than us," Aaron answered and sighed. "They live in a strict and conservative community and it's rare for anyone to escape."
"They're conservative?" I asked. "What about the werepeople who have same-sex mates?"
Stephen shook his head with a sad smile. "They're probably hiding or in prison right now."
"That's utter bull–"
"No cursing," Aaron warned.
"I mean, that's stupid," I rephrased. "Our mates are our destiny, the ones who has the other half, or halves, of our soul. The ones that are meant to be for us."
"We get you, babe," Aaron said. "But they're not as kind as us. They don't even dwell in technology that much. The only thing they have are radiophones to contact their high-ranking officials."
"It's barren of hope in there," Aaron sighed. "I had a friend there who tried to escape once. They have a rule. Once one passes through the gate, they're free. But it was freaking hard. Guards surround every corner and the walls were fortified with thorns and traps."
"How did your friend escape?" I asked.
Aaron pursed his lips, "No. She's still in there."
I gave his hand a firm squeeze and I smiled at him. "After our discussion, let's ditch that place."
Aaron kissed me on the forehead and placed his face on my hair, sniffing my scent. "So soothing."
I chuckled while Stephen followed him. They intertwined their hands on mine as we waited to get this over with.
Since the Witxh had also been visiting their territory, we thought it wise to tell them about her. The Alliance decided that we should tell her since we were the closest and we didn't have any more choice.
A woman stood in front of a white brick road that goes through further. She was tall and slender with dark skin and light brown eyes.
Lawrence, a squad leader, was driving us and he stopped a few feet away from the woman. We walked out of the car and into the blazing heat of the nearby desert.
The road was leading to a thick green forest and I couldn't wait to go there and relax. I'm not used to a humid environment and it's getting harder and harder for me to focus.
"Good morning Alpha Aaron, Alpha Stephen, and Luna Klyde of the Gold Moon Pack," the woman greeted. "Welcome to Desert Jungle Pride, I am Roslyn and I will guide you to the mansion."
"Okay," Stephen said. "Please lead the way."
Roslyn nodded and walked inside the car with us. She said to follow the path and we've been driving for about 30 minutes until she said to stop.
"Wait for a minute." She opened the jeep's window and roared like a cheetah that she was.
Several roars followed her that made me clutch my mates' thighs in fear. The trees beside the road opened and revealed another white brick path.
"Drive down here," Roslyn instructed. Lawrence gulped and followed the order.
"Chill, you guys," Aaron chuckled.
"You're here for diplomacy," Roslyn said seriously. "Don't let your fear linger or else they'll pick on it and charge at you."
Lawrence nodded and drove down the path for a few more minutes. I saw a large gate up ahead and a paw sigil was on it.
Roslyn opened the window again and roared. The gates opened, revealing a large Spanish-style mansion. It was orange in color and was as beautiful as a castle.
"We have arrived," Roslyn informed before stepping out. We got out after her and saw three men on the front porch of the mansion.
Roslyn joined the three, "Welcome. These are the Four Kings of Desert Jungle Pride."
The man on the outer right spoke, "I am Gotto, King of the Werelions."
"Danish, King of the Weretigers."
"Khumalo, King of the Wereleopards."
Roslyn was the last to introduce herself, "Roslyn, Queen of the Werecheetahs."
She's one of their leaders?
"My name is Alpha Aaron, my mates Alpha Stephen and Luna Klyde, and our 6th Squad Captain, Lawrence."
Their eyes quirked after hearing the word 'mates'. Have they not heard of the same-sex mates?
"It was curious," King Danish said. "Why I saw no female but it turns out, the representative of the wolves are… one of them."
Roslyn cleared her throat, "Let us get inside."
'Let's get this over with,' I said through our link before we went inside. I was going to stop talking but Aaron spoke.
'Don't stop or you'll offend them.'
'This place is more messed up than I thought,' I said after seeing the wrecked place. It didn't look comfortable inside. The mess was unbelievable.
We passed through a courtyard where my eyes widened at what it landed on.
People were tied to a pole outside. Their bodies were filled with bruises and wounds. They looked dehydrated since they have been standing there for Goddess knows how long.
And on top of it all, they looked broken.
Both my mates gripped my hand tightly. I looked up and saw that they were looking away but their jaws were clenched in anger.
'Those people have same-sex mates.'

Hello! As promised. Here's the mass release. Please do note that I usually update on a late night because I go to my classes and make projects or study in the morning. Thank you!
