Olivia hovered in the air, looking dreaded. Like she hadn't had sleep for days.
"She looks tired," Aaron said. "But let's not let our guards down. She's still very powerful."
"But she doesn't look good– whoop," Stephen snorted after Olivia lost her balance. She looked like she was slipping from consciousness. Like how you would see a drunk person floating.
"Everyone, don't let your guards down!" Aaron announced. "The Witxh is not something we can just look down on. After all, she's a god."
"Yes, Alpha!" our soldiers responded as they went to their formation.
"Let me test the waters," Bryce said. He snapped his fingers and his body slowly turned to smoke. "I'll just poke her a bit."
He completely vanished from our sight but I could sense his presence going towards Olivia.
"What is he doing?" I asked Brandon who seemed to be calm.
"Testing the waters," he replied with a smirk. "Bryce does not want to go into battle without knowing the capabilities of his opponent first."
I turned to Bryce's direction and saw him forming his upper body. Olivia lazily looked at him and struck a dark purple lightning at him.
He created a sphere made of aura to protect him. The lightning traveled through the sphere but did not dent it. This made Bryce nod and returned back into smoke and disabled his sphere. He slowly traveled to us and smiled.
"She's not that strong," Brycd said. "Which was odd."
"She's just holding back," I said.
Olivia took a paper from her pocket. She raised the paper and chanted something. Her eyes glowed with a dark purple color as the paper slowly burned slowly.
"I unlock the power of the gods and unleash the wrath into these mortals!" She yelled.
The clouds darkened and a large magic circle appeared above her. As she hovered over the air, she raised her hands and the magic circle got closer. When it came contact with her fingers, the magic circle slowly entered her skin.
This made Olivia flinch, as if she felt a strong force powering her up. She lowered his head and looked at me dead in the eyes. "I'm coming."
Olivia disappeared from the air and appeared in front of me. My mates instantly struck their fists at her but she blocked both with only her index fingers. Clicking her tongue, Olivia pushed her fingers and blew my mates away.
She then tried to grab me but a sphere covered me before she could.
"No way," Bryce said. "You just got interesting."
Olivia chanted a spell that made the floor below Bryce melt. She waved her hand and vines started go grow from the floor, wrapping around the people in the balcony with us.
"You should've just came with me, Klyde," Olivia whispered. She tapped the sphere and it broke like glass. "Your little friends and alphas can't protect you now."
I was about to react when a hand slammed itself on Olivia's head. Another hand punched her stomach, blowing her into the air.
"Who can't protect who?" Aaron growled.
Stephen chuckled, "You seem to underestimate us too much, Witxh. Why are you like that?"
Olivia grit her teeth and recomposed herself mid-air. She gathered dark purple electric currents all over her arms and shot them towards us.
"Die!" she yelled. "Why don't you just die?"
Bryce blasted himself forward, chanting something under his breath before summoning a large dome of glass-like energy around the entire packhouse. The strike from Olivia shook the dome but it did not penetrate through it.
"That was close," Bryce chuckled. "Alphas, prepare. This is going to get bloody."
Olivia yelled and raised her arms high up in the air. The sky darkened even more as we felt an ominous surge of aura over the clouds.
"What's she doing?" Aaron asked.
"Gods that governs the Supernaturals, rain your might against these foolish mortals and show them the power of the heavens!"
There was a bluish white spark from the thick clouds before it exploded, opening the curtain-like clouds and showing a man floating above it.
"You have revealed your location just for this?" the man said. "Poor Olivia."
He flashed right behind Olivia and slammed his hand against her stomach. She spat blood by the sudden impact and could only scream as she was falling into the ground with high speed.
"I expected more from these humans," the man said. "But I guess I'll just kill everyone here. Oh, if I did, she would come for me. So, who should I pick?"
The man was still thinking when two rapid figures attempted to punch him in the face. Aaron and Stephen's fists were blocked by the man's mere fingers.
"Why would you go on attacking someone way out of your league?" He quirked his brow and flicked his fingers, blowing my mates away.
"Gravity Zero!" Bryce casted, his hands glowing with a light purple light as he caught my mates with his magic.
"Thank you," I said to him as he slowly pulled my mates towards us. "What the hell are you two thinking?"
"That's Howl," Alicia said, staring at the man who was hovering where Olivia floated. "He's the Patron God of the Shapeshifters."
"An actual god," everyone whispered.
Kaitlyn walked in front of the packhouse and crossed her hands in front of her, "What are you doing here, Howl?"
Howl was surprised for a moment before his lips quirked into a smirk. "What a brave titan you are. Remember, you may have ascended from mortality, but yours still beneath us."
"I really don't like being beneath anyone," Kaitlyn pouted. "Apart from my husband, that is."
She blasted herself towards Howl in a blink of an eye. Her eyes glowed as light blue waves of aura covered her arms. Kaitlyn landed a successful punch against Howl who was blown away from the impact.
"How dare you?!" Howl yelled and formed a pale gold sphere in front of him. "Die!"
He shot the sphere to Kailtyn but a blue glass-like shield appeared in front of her. The sky darkened and a lightning struck in the air, a malevolent aura appeared from where it struck.
"What are you doing to my mate?" It was none other than Kronos himself. "Patron is just a title, remember that Howl."
Howl grit his teeth and backed away. "Such treachery. I will remember this Kronos."
"You better," Kronos said. "Because I won't back down."
Howl growled and raised his arms on his side. When I thought he was going to attack, he vanished into thin air.
A sigh of relief escaped my lips but it instantly was replaced with worry when I felt my mates trembling.
"Aaron? Stephen?"
They looked at me with sad teary eyes. Their fists were clenched like they were angry.
Aaron sighed and linked me, 'We're sorry babe. We're too weak.'
'What do you mean?' I asked.
'Couldn't you see how pathetic we looked just now?' Stephen sighed.
'No, you two handled it perfectly.' I defended. Which was true. Compared to their enemies, my mates were keeping up with them even at the great disadvantage.
'Cheer us up, will you?' Aaron pouted.
I accidentally nodded and regretted it instantly.
'Later. 9 rounds.' Stephen smirked.
I could only sigh after realizing that they tricked me.
I guess my mates will still be my mates.
