Lunar Powers Training (2)

"First thing's first!" Grayson said with a stern voice. I immediately straightened my back, startled by his sudden change of mood.

"You need to know the history of Lunar Powers, its rarity, its strength, its weaknesses…" Grayson trailed off. "And how it can kill its user."

It felt like he was threatening me and I didn't liked it. I could only gulp as he continued walking circles in front of me.

We were still outside, on the training ground where it was cleared to minimize accidents. I knew Lunar Powers are destructive and if I would somehow make any mistake, I would at least avoided any injuries that I might inflict.

"Where is your head, Klyde?" Grayson narrowed his eyes in front of me. "Take it back to the ground and listen up. Let's start with the origin of our powers and why there's only so few of us."

Apparently, it all started when the Moon Goddess had created her "children", aka us Supernaturals. She divided our time under the radiating moon every night, two hours per race. Back then, there were only so little of us that an entire race would fit in a cliff, basking under the moon's light.

From the start of dusk, to the end of dawn every race would exchange. They would make way for the others to go up the cliff and bathe under Her light. That went on smoothly until the Goblins, the ones who were assigned at the last hour reported that they would have more moonlight than the rest.

The other races heard of this and they were angry. They too wanted the extra hours of the night. Why would the Moon Goddess choose one child to have more time than the rest?

Soon, the Moon Goddess assigned a shift in their schedule. Every year, a different race would replace the slot or the ones who were before them, making everyone take the extra moonlight every different year.

This was until the races were angry again. They were asking why shouldn't the Moon Goddes just turn the day into night? That way, they would have even longer hours.

And the complaints piled up until the Moon Goddess had finally has had enough of it. She sent the moonlight to one representative for every race. This representative would have the power similar to her, but only a fraction in power.

These people would be known as the Moonstrucks. They will exude the aura of the moon in her stead, sending it down to earth so the moonlight does not have to travel far to reach them.

"So, thus here we are," Grayson shrugged. "Pathetic story, I know. But it's the only thing I believe. There has been no two Moonstrucks of the same race. And if one Moonstruck dies, a new one will replace immediately."

"Basically, the Moon Goddess sent the moonlight to earth in the form of us?" Elliot pouted. "Isn't she too comfortable with these things? She just don't do anything much. If there's a labor, she just woofed a person. This is your job now."

"I know you have a very… err complicated feelings about the Moon Goddess, but come on," Grayson quirked his brow up. "It's good to feel you're special."

"I have two mates, I get pregnant, I'm a Moonstruck, and there's this rumor that I'm the Moon Goddess's son," I paused and took a deep breath. "I feel special every second of my life because my mates make me feel that way."

"That's cute but pathetic," Grayson deadpanned. "Not feel special romantically. You know, just feel like you can reign the world because you're different."

"Oh, that too," I smirked. "Seriously though. Where would I be without my mates?"

"Either still be imprisoned by Olivia, or you're dead," I heard Margaret say as she came to us. "I'll stay here and watch over you too. You helped me regain my wolf, something that I'll always be indebted to you."

"That was nothing," I told her.

'Hey, I did all the worked back there,' Klint grunted but I didn't minded him, blocking him as I kept on smiling at Margaret.

"That was no biggie," I said. "I am the Luna, it's natural for me to help my people."

"I won't forget that," Avery said by the door. I was surprised about why they were all in here now.

I specifically reserved the training grounds as to not hurt anyone in case I mess up and now everyone's here?

"Then don't mess up," Aaron whispered in my ear, holding my hand and intertwining his fingers with mine. Stephen did the same on my other side as we faced Grayson.

"We will train with him," Stephen said. "We can at least do that, right?"

"Oh, sure," Grayson nodded. "But if you get hurt, make sure your warriors won't come after my head."

"Done," my mates chorused, making my fingers grip theirs tightly. I was so nervous that I could barely contain anything. Everything feels hazy and my heart was pumping blood all throughout my body at a crazy speed.

"Now we begin with the proper training," Grayson said and returned his expression to the stoic, amost stone cold one. "We begin by focusing your Moonlight, or your magic, visualize it in your head and then materialize it."

"Not all Moonstruck has the same set of Lunar Magic," Grayson continued. "I could have one the same as you but your other magic might be the same to some other Moonstruck, or could be unique only to you."

"What's the possibility of each?" I couldn't help but ask. "And why would my mates get hurt? Wouldn't you just teach me how to dance under the moon and boost everyone's morale or something?"

"Let me show you mine," Grayson said and spun.

The training grounds was composed of a large field with a flattened ground. It was contained near the edge of the forest by a thick layer of cement, towering of up to 10 meters. There are only one corner of the training ground.

wall that was built was facing the forest, making sure to not let any outsiders get in. The open area was facing the pack house, and when you go to the second floor of our base, you could see the training grounds clearly.

Grayson started waving his hand, a thick mist of pure white aura started coming out of his hands as he slowly pushed them out. A large sphere of the white energy spewed out from his palms, blasting the wall and nearly breaking it.

"W-Wow," was the only words I could mutter.
