Harpe: The Scythe

“There’s a reason I don’t have a list of villains as long as Bruce’s, Barry’s, or even yours. When I deal with them, I deal with them.”

― Geoff Johns, Justice League: Trinity War

My mother, Ayven Bennett always reminded me of this code: koffee+ketchup, with a 'k' replacing the 'c' on purpose.

"You must remember this till someone comes and asks you the question of the drink, okay? When asked, just write the response and show it to them. Your life depends on this. Don't ask me why sweetie. You will know when the right time comes," She often used to say.

Now this lady in front of me held out her hand for me to shake.

"I'm Klara Thompson, an acquaintance of your mother's, and you must be her son?"

Reluctantly, I took her hand in mine and shook it, minding the inquisitive sentence. My sensitive palm could feel the callouses in hers and I didn't even have to take a look to know. She had a very firm handshake compared to my bony, weak one.
