Everyone was doing different stretches, individually.
Min couldn't decide where or who to look at. He felt like being seated in front of a table full of delicious sweets.
"Ah look at you." Rammick smiled, looking at Min, who was unconsciously bouncing up and down—sitting on the stage.
Min didn't bother with Rammick's teasing and clasped his palms together under his chin, eyes fixed onto Donghyuck's figure, who was doing Arabesque. [Arabesque is a position where one leg is down straight and the other behind almost at a 90° angle.]
Rammick knew he was probably hindering his own practice but this newbie was constantly attracting his attention.
Min gave Rammick the feels of his early school years. He too had the same starry eyes whenever he stared the girls practicing cheerleading. Unfortunately, Rammick wasn't acknowledged for his passion for cheerleading.
The first time Rammick infiltrated the practice sessions of the cheerleading squad, he was labeled as a creep and accused of peeping at girls pervertedly. Oh, what a disaster it was. Later for months, he wasn't allowed to be seen near the practicing rooms.
Then again in the second year, Rammick tried asking a member regarding cheerleading and unexpectedly became the victim of a rumor—about chasing the cheer girls. Another frustrating crisis.
Last year was the worst. Desperate and afraid of losing the opportunity, Rammick directly met the coach of the cheerleading team but the result was once again a heavy disappointment. The coach laughed at the possibility of Rammick doing cheerleading and also got insulted for liking such a cheery and colorful sport.
No chance or opportunity. But Rammick Randall wasn't somebody willing to give up. So he begged his supportive parents and made it to South Korea in order to pursue his passion.
And thankfully here he was able to get acquainted with Seunghwan. Seunghwan groomed Rammik personally to be a great spotter and later with countless nights of over practice, sneaking on videos of competitive competition routines at free times—Rammick came to where he was at present.
"Rammick! The practice is coming to an end. Don't get distracted now." Seunghwan warned Rammick.
Min snickered at Rammick for getting scolded like a kindergarten child. He himself liked Rammick very much. Rammick was like a neighborhood older brother, funny, a bit stupid, and enjoyable to be with.
Fifteen minutes later the practice came to an end and slowly the members dispersed to their respective bags either grabbing towels to wipe the sweat or bottles to quench their thirst.
Min jumped down from the stage with a plop and bravely marched to the one who had his attention for most of time during the last two hours.
Donghyuck rubbed his wet hair from sweat and sighed multiple times. He had eventually gotten better at balancing his body but from the height of 537cm, he still felt scared.
Donghyuck joined SUAVE totally out of whim. One day while he was bored and kept repeatedly strolling around the campus grounds, looking for any drama or interesting thing to happen, he caught sight of Seughwan doing rounds of the gymnasium.
Curious, Donghyuck approached Seunghwan and came to know that Seunghwan was running around the gymnasium because he received a punishment. Punishment for being late with the correct timing of the formation.
Donghyuck got quite inquisitive after hearing Seunghwan and visited the gym, the very next day, only to get dragged on by the former captain to join the cheerleading team. The former captain had exceptional skills at coaxing a person so Donghyuck was lured right in with no means of escape.
Donghyuck felt it wasn't bad to do some cheerleading, at least he won't have to loiter the whole campus to get his boredom under the bay. Now after one year, Donghyuck can partly confess that he likes this sport.
"Sunbae..?" Min's trembling figure from excitement stood behind Donghyuck, calling out feebly.
Donghyuck turned around and leaned back a little surprised. He didn't expect the newcomer to approach him.
Min continued. "Sunbae what's your position?"
Donghyuck let go of the towel and examined Min. Now that he looked clearly at the newcomer, there were some things very catchy about this young fellow.
Firstly, Min's pair of peach blossom eyes shined brightly. Those eyes were brown—not normal but a mocha brown.
Donghyuck licked his lips, somewhat flushed at the naked admiring gaze directed towards him from Min.
"I'm a flyer."
Min's heart skipped two beats. Wasn't this the same position as what Captain Kang had mentioned? The supposed position he was to be?
"Ah, Sunbae.. What were you doing just before the practice came to an end? That thing where your one leg was in the air?"
Donghyuck again jerked a little, surprised. What probing eyes! The newcomer seems to have an absolute genuine interest in cheerleading. Such people are hard to find these days.
People usually like watching cheerleading but when it comes to participating or joining, nobody stays.
"I was doing an Arabesque," Donghyuck answered.
Min mouthed the term a few times and repeated the pronunciation in his head. "A-Arabeshqui?"
Donghyuck couldn't help but burst into laughter at the pronunciation. Arabesque was the only term that was difficult to pronounce in cheerleading. It may sound imperfect but Min had got it almost right in the first try minus the mishap with pronunciation due to accent.
Min blushed seeing Donghyuck laugh and fidgeted on spot with uneasiness. He might have mispronounced it very bad for Donghyuck Sunbae to laugh like that.
"I'm sorry. Can you tell me once again?"
Donghyuck finally revealed a smile at Min's uneasy face. The newcomer really seems to be unique.
Min joining may become beneficial for the team. The flash of brightness from Min's mocha brown eyes was enough for Donghyuck to know that Min's going to be an irreplaceable member to the team. If groomed with care, Min will become a treasure.
Before Donghyuck could reply to Min, Rammick bounded in their direction. Clasping his meaty arm around Min, Rammick questioned. "What are you guys talking about?"
Min gazed up at Rammick's glistening face and uttered. "Arabeshqui!"
Rammick's smiley face turned serious and not even a second later he was hunching down wheezing with laughter.
Min worriedly glanced at Donghyuck to find that Donghyuck too was shaking with laughter.
