Q2 - How can Cole kill a member of his pack so mercilessly? 


Ans: Many readers complain about how merciless Cole is in torturing and killing his pack members mercilessly when one of the pack members gives information about Cole's action to the rogue. He didn't kill his pack member because she shared information about his action with the rogue, but he killed her because she betrayed her pack, which means declaring war against her pack. Cole tortures her to gain all the information she shares with the rogues so that Cole can take corrective actions to protect his pack, and according to pack laws set by the council of werewolves, the punishment for betraying one owns pack is death. Hence, he kills her to punish her.
