Road to Entitlement: Eight

Alistair and I didn't talk about anything when we came back. A dead silence was given and i refuse to speak. He was the one who kissed me. Why the hell would I talk first? He should explain himself first! We came back to an empty house. I ask Dion where they are, he said at the funeral. He asks me where I have been, Alistair and I just looked at each other.

A little later, Alessia and the kids come home. Dion prepares everything, he even ask if he could return to the chopper where we landed to prepare the chopper. "We're leaving already?" Asks Alessia. Dion replies with a nod before he gets going.

"Megayi, can you please stay? For a while?" Sonny asks, still with swollen eyes, he hugs Alessia with all his might.

"Sonny, Megayi has to go now. She has to win the contest, remember what Mama says?" Dothy says, slowly pulling sonny away from Alessia.

Sonny starts crying, Alessia tries to calm him, but he won't. I never had a younger brother who I had to calm, that's why I didn't know what to do to help.

Alistair lifts Sonny up, cradled him, and swing him slowly, he kept doing that until Sonny's cries keeps getting weaker and weaker until he was sound asleep.

"Kahlil always cries, and since our rooms are close with each other, you tend to learn a trick with kids, although I kind of had a younger brother myself." Alistair whispers as he carefully lay Sonny on top of the matress Alessia had took from our room to here. Alessia just smiles at him, mouths thank you, before tending to Dothy's need.

"Do we really have to leave now?" Alistair asks as he sits besides me, all my thoughts were, don't you have some explaining to do? Who are you to kiss me? And why?

"We agreed we can only stay for two days." I say, with full of coldness in my tone, which I kinda hoped he had notice.

"Can't you ask Dion to you know, extend for a little while, I think the kids can't handle saying goodbye to Alessia, when they just said goodbye to their mom." He says, looks at me deeply with those brown eyes. I always adored brown eyes as they resembles my father, Dion's eyes was blue, so is mine.

"I can't promise. But I will try, and this is not because you ask me to, but because I wanted to spend time with Dion as well." I say, standing up, tries to look around if Dion had already arrive. I was waiting for him to come around to explain why the hell he had kiss me, but when i hear his footsteps walking away, I knew he had no intention of speaking to me regarding that topic.

I sit again, I calmly wait for dion to arrive. When he did, I walk towards him.

"Can we stay here for another day? Can we leave tomorrow?" I say, with my arms wrapped around him.

"I just prepared the chopper, what do you mean we still have to stay?" He asks, slowly unwrapping my grip away from him.

"Technically, we haven't bond yet, I wanted to know how Emilla is, so can we stay? Promise, i'm all yours." He looks at me seductively, I swear it didn't sound like that when I ran it through my mind. I hit his head.

"Ouch! Hey! You're the one who had her arms wrapped around me!" He says, I remove my arms from him.

"Okay, but I am uncertain what consequences you may face, because I told you only 2 days max." He looks at me, as if telling me something bad might happen if we actually did stay, but, I wanted to do this for Alessia, she the very least deserves this after what she went through.

"Come on." He says, puts his hand over my head. "I miss my bestfriend, I have no one to fight with back at home, Emilla is submissive."

"I told her to change that! I am away for 3 years, who will fight her battles for her!" I say angrily, Dion rubs his hand on my hair.

"Hey! I didn't have any comb with me!" I say, removes my scrunchie, and fix my hair.

"You never let your hair down don't you?" He asks, as I was about to tie my hair with the last circle I have created by forming a knot.

"Why would I need to, It looks pretty."

"Just like how you are with me. You never let me in." I stop, making the hair tie a little bit loose.

"Why would you think that?"

"Because you never called me once out of your own judgement, I always have to chase you first." I just look at him, I didn't know he felt that way.

"I promise, after centrus, you won't ever chase me again. I just wish you were more open when we were back home." I say as we arrive at Alessia's house.

"Promise?" I smile.

"Promise." I say, and I held out my pinky finger. We made pinky promise before entering Alessia's house.

"I thought we were already going?" Alessia asks, I got confuse since she had like 2 bags when we came, now I wonder why she only has herself.

"Change of plans, you owe Ernilla a thank you, but considering you haven't say it to me yet, I doubt if Ernilla will ever receive one." Dion says as he sits on the couch.

"I'm sorry, I completely forgot I had things to deal with obviously, Thank you, What do you want." I laugh as Alessia says that, obviously she is faking it. She does not frequently do that voice imitation.

I sit beside Dion, waits for his answer. "Nothing, but please, we must leave tomorrow, I won't have to deal with anything, but you guys, the centrus may not let you in if they knew you went out, you'll be missing 2 classes already." Dion says, funny how he cares more to being absent in centrus than us, the actual absentees.

"It was a good thing classes were cancelled for the ceremony." Alessia says, she is right, or we might have miss too much already.

"Where are the kids?" I ask.

"I put them to sleep, i thought we would be leaving, i can't go with them being awake."

Alistair enters the room with plates of food that has a decadent smell, I imagine him cooking back to his home, and I became curious of how he learned how to cook.

"I'm sorry I have taken over the job of cooking, I figure out Alessia needed to eat to fuel herself." I feel a slight heartache, since this meal is solely for Alessia.

"You never cooked for us back in the centrus, I wonder how you learned to cook?" I asks, as I was spooning the meal he had prepared.

"We both know how funny it is that we can access the records area and not the kitchen." He sits down beside me, preps his meal and starts eating. I look at Dion's disappointed face when he has to sit across me.

"This is the last extension okay, no more extends, I told you, we needed to be only gone for 2 days." He says, I give him the food I have scoop already, thanks me and started eating.

Despite the whole nothing to do kind of thing here in the faction 9, the day went too fast, Alessia spent her time with her siblings, while Alistair cuts wood so her siblings will no longer have to. Alistair only stop when he no longer sees woods that is needed cut. Dion and I spent the day catching up, It felt like the whole house was covered with sounds of me laughing, and the 2 kids playing with Alessia. Apparently, eversince I left, Dion spends time at home trying to befriend Emilla, in which he had no luck with.

I decide I needed a cup of hot chocolate since the place was breezing cold, and Alistair stopped me from putting in more wood, he told me to save it for later, since Alessia's siblings will no longer have someone around, they needed the woods for than me. I stir my cup with a spoon, everything here is so simple, I miss my home where I will just tap a button on a machine and it will prepare it for me. Although this seems relaxing since i had to put in a little effort. Alistair sits beside me.

"I wanted to give you this, a little secret my faction does to make hot cocoa drink better." He says, gives me a familiar biscuit, in which I recognize, "Is that Alessia's?" He laughs, confirming my hunch.

"When I saw Alessia piling these up in her bag, I knew I had to get one, this is from my faction." He tears up the packaging and gives it to me. "A little compensation after not letting you use the woods I have chopped." He says, then laughs again. I take one biscuit and bites it.

"No, no, no! You have to dip it in the hot cocoa." He says, I do what I was told and I never thought he could be more than right, the biscuit that was crunchy had been soften, making it more delicious, and the salt in the biscuit enhances the chocolate even more. When mixed, it tastes like moist cake, but better.

"I told you." He says as soon as he saw my expression.

"Wow. I need to steal from Alessia too!" I say and he laughs even more.

"No, don't I will get you some when we get back to the centrus, I just need to figure out where they keep it, and Don't even dare to tell Alessia I stole one!" The place is all quiet, Dion is asleep, Alessia is too, the cold just awaken me. I bet Alistair too. But this silence is reminding me that I was supposed to be mad at him, not giggling over some biscuit, but mad!

I am about to speak when Dion came running outside of the room he was sleeping in, then inside Alessia's. I hear him try to wake Alessia up gently, subtle enough not to be heard by the kids but not subtle enough to not be heard by us, I stand up and go inside, Alessia is half awake, when Dion snatches her out of the room.

"We need to go right now, I will prepare the chopper." Dion says, as he was about to go out, I stop him.

"Elaborate." I say, it is unlikely that Dion will feel this kind of scared, but I refuse to go when I don't know the reason.

"I don't know, but you know me Nila, I won't force something if isn't necessary." I look at his eyes. His pleading eyes. He is right, I know him, and this time, my instincts is telling me I should listen.

"Okay." I say in defeat. I fix myself, comb my hair properly and recheck myself, I may be wearing Alessia's old clothes, but I didn't want to bring anything with me so i just let the clothes that I am wearing when I came in stay in Alessia's closet. Alessia also fix herself, half awake obviously when she tried to comb her hair with a toothbrush, I stop her and give her the right one.

With Alessia being less than conscious, I force Alistair to fix his self. I went inside Dion's room to get his bag, take all the things I recognize that was his and shove them all inside the bag without folding it. When I go outside, I see Alessia trying to reach the toothpaste, but she misses it and grabs the pot behind it, tries to catch it, but it slips through her hand, and before I could even react, a loud sound was created, the sound of metal and cement clashing together.

Yes, It woke up Dothy, Alessia gets the hold of herself, finally awaken. I pick up the pot, return it in its place, Dothy looks at the surroundings, sees the bag where i had put Dion's things and started crying.

"Sonny, They're leaving sonny!" The young girl says in between her sobs, I reach the bag with my foot, kick it to a place where Dothy will not see, but it is too late. She was crying already, Alessia tries to stop it. But she can't, a little while Sonny is now awake as well, and two kids are now crying.

"Please don't leave us, no one will look after us, we don't like Auntie Maly." Sonny cries, the mention of Maly makes Dothy cry louder. I hear footsteps running, and when I look behind, Dion arrives, concern she looks at the three.

"Give me your phone." Dion says with full authority, and even though I did not know why, I took my phone out, and give it to him. He takes his phone out of his pocket as well, and opens it to click a few things, and suddenly I knew what he was doing.

"Here, look at Megayu Dion." The kids look at him, eyes was enlarged, shock to be seeing there faces on the two phones.

"Hold the other one." He commands to Dothy, Dothy follows and Sonny just stared. He gives the other one to Alessia.

"Why is Megayi Alessia on this tiny screen?" Dothy ask, pinpointing Alessia's face.

Dion lowers himself down. "From now on, no matter where Megayi Alessia's stays, you will see her. All you had to do this click on this tiny screen." Dion says, smiling.

"Hey! Share Megayi Alessia!" Sonny mumble and tries to snatch the phone away fron Dothy.

Dion picks up the phone and stands up.

"But, Megayu Dion will not leave the phone if you two fight, Right Alessia?" Alessia moves forward and stands beside Dion.

"Yes, you will have to side with each other. I will be gone. Promise me you won't fight." Alessia holds out her pinky, the kids does the same and they do the pinky promise. Dion returns the phone and try to teach the two kids, afterwards, he stands up and bids goodbye. Alessia does the same. But Sonny opens the phone again. Alessia laughs.

"You can only see me if I called. I will as soon as I can. I love you." Alessia hugs the two, and lets go. We all walk outside. Thank you for letting me know you, Faction 9, even for just a short while.
