Chapter 8 - Money Works For Everything

Feeling challenged, Zen approached. As usual, always find a way to lock Daisy's access to not move. And Daisy is like prey for a predator. Seductive and delicious.

He then turned his face away. Turn around and head for the balcony again. His breath hitched. He couldn't do that to Daisy. Not before he and Daisy got married. Be legal as husband and wife in front of religion and state.

"Why? I thought you wanted to do it with me," Daisy asked. Now Daisy seems to be thirsty for Zen's caress, but it's not easy to make Zen just fall into Daisy's valley.

"Not yet, Daisy. Besides, what makes you think I'd do it?"

"You'd better take me home. You said you and your family would come to my home, right?" Daisy asked then. She tried to divert the atmosphere then rushed to her room to get ready.

Arriving at Neva's house, Zen immediately got ready. He was a bit confused about proposing to someone's daughter. Because this is the first time for Zen to do that. In the past, with Kanya, he couldn't. It wasn't because he didn't want to, but it was Kanya who decided not to marry Zen.

"You are ready?" Neva asked her son.

Zen nodded. "Yes, always ready. Where's Dad?" Today is also the first day Zen meets his Father, Gerald, after Neva and Gerald divorced. However, full parental support means a lot to Zen even though he still hates his own Father.

"Well, that's it. Come on, let's go," said Neva as Gerald's signature horn sounded.

When they arrived at Daisy's home, Zen and his family arrived on good terms. No need to linger or make small talk, the application ceremony took place so quickly. Just set the engagement date in two months, and the wedding in the next two months.

"Daisy is beautiful, isn't it. I'm proud that Zen got you," said Gerald, praising.

Zen was silent. He allows his family free time to interact with Daisy's family.

"Thank you, Uncle. How come, I've never seen you, huh? I mean when I was at Aunt Neva's home," Daisy asked innocently.

All silent. Silence. Indeed, no one told Daisy about the relationship between Zen's parents. Even Zen didn't tell her.

Now they looked at each other. Zen turned to Daisy and gave a gesture to correct her question.

"Oh, sorry, Umm… forget my question earlier."

Gerald laughed then. Loud laughter filled Daisy's home. "It's okay, Daisy. Maybe Zen hasn't told you yet. Well, we're both adults, yes. But I will tell you, if I and Neva have been divorced for three years," explained Gerald.

Daisy is embarrassed. She looked down and apologized. She even tried to excuse herself backward to escape Zen's annoyed gaze.

Zen followed her. Standing in the kitchen doorway with both hands in trouser pockets. Handsome and charming.

"I'm not angry. It's my fault I didn't tell you. Sorry," Zen said.

Daisy thought Zen would scold her or something. Once she knew Zen was following him just to explain, she was relieved.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that either. It's just that I feel curious, Zen."

Zen approached. Staring at Daisy closely. His sharp eyes with thick eyelashes that are rare in any man, make Daisy throb.

"They're divorced. Dad was cheating. Mom is a victim. But their interactions are still good, for my sake. That's all."

"Then your Dad remarried?"

Zen nodded. "Yes. Not with his mistress but, another woman."

Daisy swallowed her saliva. It sounded clear to Zen's ears and he smiled. "Strange, isn't it? Had an affair but married another woman. Not a big thing to think about, Daisy. That's all I can tell you."

Daisy nodded. She couldn't reply to Zen's explanation, whatever it was for him, receiving information from Zen by himself was enough.

"Come on, let's go back," Zen said then.

***

It's been two days since the proposal, Zen hasn't met Daisy yet. They only communicate via cell phone. But still Zen keeps an eye on Daisy from prying eyes everywhere. So far Daisy hasn't done anything weird.

Since then, Kanya has always contacted him. As if deliberately interfering with Zen's life. Even though he had sent the monthly money for his son according to the agreement. But he doesn't know what Kanya's motive was that just appeared. Makes Zen uneasy. He was afraid if Daisy came suddenly or saw by accident.

Zen immediately mobilized his men to tell if one day Daisy came. He had to move quickly and hide before he lost Daisy to Kanya.

"Kanya," Zen said as they made an appointment in a hidden place.

Kanya smiled at Zen. Looks calm and elegant. But Zen hated it. Ever since he found out that Kanya didn't want to be married, Zen had hated her.

"What else? I thought the money for Vista would be enough."

"Come on, Zen. You don't have to be so tense. Where's Zen who is so calm and composed?"

Zen held back his emotions. He cannot be angry in front of Kanya. Because if he is provoked by emotions, then Kanya feels happy and satisfied.

"Okay... what's wrong?" This time Zen made himself as relaxed as possible. A ruse but works well in front of Kanya.

"I want to put Vista in early childhood. I need more money. What you usually send is for a month, so can you do that?" asked Kanya.

"Okay. I'll transfer right away." Zen immediately fiddled with his phone. Fiddling with to send a large amount of money to Kanya's account.

"So, right? You have a mistress?" asked Kanya while Zen was busy with his cell phone.

Zen hasn't replied yet. Until the notification sound on Kanya's cell phone rang. Kanya looked at his phone and smiled.

"The answer is yes and you can leave immediately," Zen said then.

Kanya stood up and grabbed her bag. "Okay. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me, Zen. I'm not a wrecker."

Without a word from Zen, Kanya turned around and walked away from Zen. Only then was Zen able to breathe a sigh of relief. He then looked at his cell phone screen to see what movements Daisy was doing through CCTV.

"What? Why are you just telling me now, Zen? I can take care of Kanya when she's around like that," said Neva, who was visiting Zen's office.

Zen felt his head dizzy. He just sat there touching his temples. He had to tell Neva about Kanya's appearance because Neva could see something different in her son if Zen didn't tell her.

"She's been quiet, Mom. I've sent money according to her needs," Zen said calmly.

Neva couldn't calm down. He paced in front of Zen with his hands folded. "This can't be allowed! She knows you have everything including money, of course, she's just blackmailing you, Zen! Otherwise, why wouldn't she want you to marry her? Bitch!"

Like mother like son. That's how Neva is when she's angry. Like Zen following in the footsteps of the Neva nature. Easily angered and emotional. Moreover, Neva is a woman, of course, she knows how this situation happened.

"How's Daisy?" Neva asked then.

"Safe. She's fine, Mom."

"Don't let him or his family know. Kanya may not be a destroyer of people's relationships, but we don't know Zen, don't let the secret you have children use on Daisy to blackmail you.

Zen nodded. He had thought of everything carefully. It's just that Kanya's appearance did surprise him.

There was a knock on the door. Zen and Neva looked at each other. Usually anyone always just walks in. While the one who always knocks on Zen's door is... Daisy?

Zen widened his eyes. Whether Daisy heard him or not, Zen couldn't calm down.
