'On the outskirts of Time & Space'
Lord Jamie sat on the throne at the Seat of Chronos. He passed his hand on the element that was the seat which was unknown to him.
It felt cool to the touch and very smooth, as he passed his hand along it. It was definitely crafted by a skilled being who may not have been human.
It was kind of weird, Lord Jamie thought to himself, that he was able to interact with things even though he had astral projected himself here.
One of the spells that Jaiden had recently taught him, allowed him to astral project himself, to any point in time and to go places that no mere human has ever traversed before.
The other spell allowed him to just project himself, to give visual messages to others at other points in time.
Looking down the steps from the throne in this dimly lit place, he looked at Jaiden who began to state what was required to open a summoning gate to this location so that he can be released from this place.
The potion that I would teach you to create, said Jaiden would require three days prep time to acquire the full effects however when properly completed, you would have a temporary increase of enormous power.
This would allow you to successfully summon me and allow me to get to your time.
Sounds good, responded Lord Jamie but before we get to that, how were you able to survive here, in this place with no food, no water and no magic?
Do we really have time for this, asked Jaiden?
I am trying to figure out if in the future, I would look decrepit, the way you look right now?
Jaiden paused, let out a breath and then began to answer, the paintings that are in here, in this place, transport you to pocket worlds with fruit trees and other animals.
These worlds did not provide any magical energies but it was able to sustain me. I believe those places were magically suppressed by runes. These same runes are what allowed those living things and those worlds to exist.
That is very interesting, stated Lord Jamie as he looked around for nearby paintings.
You need a physical body to enter those worlds, Jaiden stated and not all worlds have living things, he continued. Some of them might bring a swift demise to the unwary and unwise.
Jaiden continued, as for my condition. I faced off against another magician which led to my state.
Even at my greatest, I still wasn't strong enough. I was shown the folly of my magical prowess when I faced off against him, titled 'The most powerful wizard' that one can ever know.
Our battle scorched an entire planet, making it unfit for human life. In our battle, I had used everything that I had which ultimately led to my downfall, when he used a spell that drew on my own life energy.
The only option that I had, was to escape.
I never run away, interrupted Lord Jamie.
If I had stayed, It would have brought my death.
Jaiden handed Lord Jamie a piece of paper with the ingredients and recipe needed to create the portion.
Remember, at three days the potency is at its strongest, he stated. After creating the potion, put the necessary markings for a summoning circle in place to bring me to your time.
"Do not forget, all that I have said!"
It's not my first assignment, said Lord Jamie as his astral projection disappeared.
Lord Jamie sat in his main chamber, pondering all that he had seen and heard. An opportunity to acquire more power was within his grasp and this was the way to get it. Reaching forward, he picked up a cup of special herb tea. It was cold due to it being there for quite some time.
Closing his eyes, he concentrated and allowed heat to be channeled to his hand, heating up the tea. After he had finished drinking the tea, he began to execute the plan.
Lord Jamie called for his 'Right Hand' which was Matthew. Instructing Matthew about the plants and other ingredients that he needs, he began looking for the necessary candles, chemical ingredients and other things required to perform the summoning.
Matthew listened to his Lord Jamie who was once on the same level as him.
Gone were the days when they both used to run down the alleys of the Kingdom. That carefree boy who introduced him to his sister who he was now married too. That boy seems all lost now, replaced by a tyrant who only grasps for more power.
"I will get it done," responded Matthew. Also, he continued, we have found out the location of 'The Blue Maiden!'
A smile suddenly came over Lord Jamie's face.
I will personally lead the group of two hundred men to apprehend her.
Gooodd, answered Lord Jamie…. Good! You can delegate my matters to someone else then. Capturing her is a major priority.
Remember, I want her alive. Capture her and everyone who is with her. I will deal with everyone, when I am finished, he chuckled.
"Yes," my Lord answered Matthew as he took his leave of the presence of Lord Jamie.
