Chapter 47

(A/N Notes: Somethingsomethingsomething)

"..."

"*Humming*"

Takeru was in Yuriko's apartment as he was looking at the sketches of her costume, while she was making tea for them to drink

"... *Comparing the sketches with a few 19th-century royal clothes and some World War military uniforms* ... ..."

And after a little analysis, he came up with an idea and picked his pencil, and made some small changes to the sketch of the prince costume with black clothing, which he found to be the more fitting one to Yuriko, his limited drawing skills, but most of the changes were written since he didn't know how to draw most of the stuff he thought that could be added or removed

"So? How's it going?"

"!"

Takeru shuddered for a moment since he was concentrated on the changes to the sketch

"... I don't know, what do you think of these changes?"

"Let me see..."

Yuriko picked up the sketch Takeru had added some things and removed others

"Hmmm..." "... ... ... Isn't this now just an over the top world war-esque military uniform?"

She couldn't help but ask him that, as she was able to picture the costume in her mind, and no matter how much she tried to change the image, it would always end up giving it a military uniform feel to it

"... At least it looks cool..."

"... Yeah, I guess you're right"

Yuriko didn't really say anything back to Takeru, because she was the one who asked for his help, and she could also see that he did the best he could do

"... And I wanted to have you looking very cool while wearing it..."

"... Gah! You're too cute, Takeru!"

And after hearing him saying that with his cheeks slightly red, she couldn't help but say that, then hug him and fill him with kisses, which made the two fall on the floor. But before they could cross that line, she noticed what she was doing and promptly stopped with an embarrassed face

"S, sorry... About that..."

"I, it's fine..."

They both turned silent due to their embarrassment

"I, I'll go get our teas!"

Yuriko quickly got up and went to serve the tea for her and Takeru. After some minutes, they were able to calm down

"Fuuu... So, Takeru how about we now do some rehearsals?"

"Sure, what is the play about?"

"It's a slightly modified version of Cinderella, you know the story, right?"

"Yeah, I do"

Takeru wasn't wrong, that was the original Cinderella story, but it definitely wasn't the one that the girl who wrote the script was inspiring from

"Here's the script"

"Thank you"

Yuriko handed him the script that he gave a brief but attentive read, and he could only think one thing after just reading a little

"Are you sure this still a Cinderella story?"

"...That's what the girl who wrote the script told me"

"... Okay... Then which part do you want to rehearse?"

"Hmmm... Since most of the acts need at minimum three people... How about we do the prince versus the evil prince act?"

"... ... ... Are you sure that the girl who wrote this read the original Cinderella story?"

"... Yes... At least that's what she told me when I asked her during the rehearsals at the school"

The two were unsure if the girl was really saying the truth, but for now, they decided to just get up and start rehearsing

"*Reading his line* ... Ahem... Well, well, look who we got here if it ain't prince Yurihiko"

"..."

Yuriko was surprised at how on character Takeru had got himself into, but she swiftly did her part of the rehearsal

"Hoh? It looks like we meet again prince Taker- hiko, yes it looks like we meet again prince Takehiko"

Yuriko almost messed up because of how the name of the evil prince was similar in the first four letters with Takeru's name, despite the fact that Takeru didn't mess up with her character name

"And I see that you got yourself a pretty dance partner, do you mind if I have a dance with her?"

"I won't let you have a dance with another girl but me!"

Yuriko who had approached Takeru, held his hands ready for dancing as she said that, then they both got confused as she suddenly turned the "Cinderella" story into a prince x evil prince fujoshi dream story

"...*Slightly troubled face*"

"... *Slowly having her face turning red*"

Yuriko was quick to get what she basically meant with that, and the fact she went out of character because of that, easily got embarrassed and that was showing on her face

"... I, I think we should stop here... Takeru"

"Yes... Let's..."

Yuriko let go of his hands and they both made a small distance between them, with Takeru still having a slightly troubled face while Yuriko's face only got redder

"... I think I'll be going home now"

"Y, yes... T, thank you for your help"

Yuriko opened the front door for him, and he left her apartment

"..."

Now that she was alone, Yuriko went to her room to agonize from saying that selfish embarrassing line to Takeru

...

*Closes and locks the front door*

"..." *Closes his eyes and deeply inhales*

Yuriko is too cute!!!

*Trying to keep himself from smiling*

Saying a selfish line out of the blue like that is too bad for my heart, good thing we were alone when she said that, or else even I would start blushing like Yuriko

"..." *Nodding to himself*

Yup, no matter how beautiful or cool Yuriko is, her cuteness is her best point

...

The next day

Yuriko was rehearsing with the boy who was chosen to be the evil prince... It was Daichi, and he didn't know if he felt happy or sad for having to act as Yuriko enemy during the play, but he still tried to show his cool side, although it was already too late for that

"W, well, well, look who we got here, if it isn't prince Yuriko, I mean Yurihoko! Yuiiko! Gaaaaahhh! Yurihiko!"

And even there he was failing at being cool

"Hoh? It looks like we meet again prince Takehiko"

"A, and I see that you got yourself a, a pretty dance partner... D, do you mind if I have a dance with you?"

"Alright, cut!... Yamamoto-kun, you suck at acting"

The girl who was doing the part of being the director of the play said the harsh truth to Daichi, for his less than underperforming acting skills

"..."

Yuriko's wish would be answered... And it would make the play turn into a trainwreck

(A/N Notes: Multi-part trainwreck!)
