Run With The Devil

After They Took Down Rolly , Variys and Balemein alongside the girls Headed Out to Akmen in order to Hand him off to the Guild and claim the reward , although variys only went there because it was supposed to be the next stop to their journey , since Akmen was the Last town in the Map Before The Head Out across the Border To Get To Oseriyra .

During their time on the town they made sure to blow off some steam after all , things will only get dangerous from here , and they might want to take a day off to enjoy the Hot Spring Water or the Delightful food the town had to offer next to the Comfortable beds to forget about the back pain they got from sleeping on the forest floors , although this is the life of every adventurer and with the time they got used to it , a little bit of Lavish Lifestyle to enjoy their time here wouldn't hurt anybody .

Balemein Walked out from the Guild and Threw a bag of What seemed to be Coins Towards variys's reach .

'' here you go '' he started

'' what is this '' variys wondered

'' your forty percent , I told you I'm a man of my word , I just handed over Rolly and explained the whole situation to the guild ''

'' um , excuse me , what would happen to the town people back there '' Arestia asked

'' he just admitted everything , unfortunately he is the only one who can make those potions , it seems that there is no other poison like this one in this world , and the only guy who can fix it is the one who made it , it also looks that most potions have been destroyed during our fight ''

'' that's … ''

'' however , lucky for us , some high ranked hunters can be very … let's say convincing , he already agreed to make more potions and they will start implementing the proper persuaders by tomorrow , those town people will be safe . ''

'' that's great to hear '' '' thank god '' Arestia and the girls said in relief .

'' so I guess this is it huh , our little adventure will have to end here , it's been a pleasure fighting you , Lord Variys '' Balemein stated as he reached for variys hand , variys with a smile reached back and should his hand .

With that they both parted ways , variys turned back to the girls , Cana , Celestine , Naomi & Arestia all stared back at him .

'' What Are you looking at '' he asked

'' what do we do now variys sama , should we head to Oseriyra Next '' said Celestine

'' well , the way I see it since it might take up days to reach , it would be a good idea , it can't hurt if we spend the night here , and head out to Oseriyra first thing in the morning , '' as he said that a Bright smile drawn on the girls faces , they clearly wanted to hear variys said that , after all this town is vast and almost as touristy as the capital ,

And so they did , the girl immersed right back into their shopping spree , Buying New Outfits , Weapons and Trying New Food . after all they won an extra Big Rewards thanks to their little stop at the previous town .

Later that Night Variys Came Back Home while counting what's left of their Price ,and was rather displeased to say the least .

'' for god sake , it has been only one day and they cut half the reward short , if this continue we won't even have money to eat when we get back '' he spoke to himself as he got up the stairs of the inn Their were staying in . opening His room door soon afterwards only to find the girls half dressed in their new sleeping wears . which variys never saw before , so to say he was shocked would be an understatement

'' huh , what does it look like we are doing , we want to sleep , after all we have a busy day tomorrow '' Celestine replied

'' oh , these , these are our new sleeping outfits , come to think of it , we always sleep in our cloths when we do our quests , so this is your first time seeing us like this , what do you think '' Naomi Stated as she tried getting closer towards him while he try to take a step back .

'' you should join us variys san , you haven't taken that uniform in days , you will feel much better '' cana stated .

Variys took another step back only to find out that he is now stuck against the door and the girls are all walking slowly towards him in their erotic cloths .

'' join us variys sama '' they all said at the same time , which variys thought to be more creepy and scary than attractive , as he hurriedly opened the door and walked out then closed it as hard as he could .

'' things have been crazy lately , I couldn't step back and relax , still , it seems like tonight would be a perfect night for me to lay back and enjoy some Good Bathtub Time , as much as I appreciate the girls accompany , I love me some alone time and I could really get used to this quietness … , now then , it's time for some Me- time '' variys thought to himself as he reached forward to the curtains and sliding them aside with no second thought , only to find out Arestia Sitting Alone in the same bathtub , washing the sweat off her body , with her silver Hair Covering Most Her Cleavage, and the Vaporized steam created by the heat covering the rest , her bottom part was covered by the Water in the Bathtub , yet variys was still able to catch a fast glimpse of her figure , he couldn't even react in time since before variys tried to close back the curtains , she turned wondering what happened , only to find the demon lord standing before her , All Naked with nothing to show but his package , hanging right before her eye , the shock only gave her a minute to take in what's going on , as she suddenly and uncontrollably Screamed startled by the view.

'' quickly , the shower '' The girl Shouted as they came to her aid thinking that something bad had happened to her , maybe it was an enemy or a spy that came to assassinate her .

They busted through the door , to find the horrific sight of the demon Lord variys , butt naked facing the priestess who stepped back against the wall covering her body as if she was scared for her life .

'' what , what is the meaning of this variys sama '' Celestine Stated

'' ara ara , to think that variys sama will try to force himself onto a poor priestess , that is unacceptable '' said Naomi in an erotic manner

'' who's forcing who , don't go assuming thing , this is exactly what happened last time and you took it too far '' he stated in panic

'' huh what's that ' are you okay '' one of the Couple said , trying to help whoever got blasted by that explosion , only to find out it was a butt ass naked demon who is almost unconscious while The woman shouted as her lover grabbed into her saying that they should go , they should hurry up and leave .

The Next Morning Variys Paid The Establishment Owner the price of the room they rented , the owner took a look at the money then started back at variys , variys knew what that look meant , so he pulled out a couple more Hundreds to make up for the room they destroyed the night before leaving variys feeling somewhat unpleasant about how his he was unlucky during his one night stay in this time , after all he didn't even get to have his shower .

It was only a matter of few hours after that that they started their journey to The Borders , what lies after this town they were in was nothing but Thick Forest , and high mountains , which weren't inhabitable as they thought , Variys found Himself Faced With Many Monsters , From Orcs To Goblins , Not that they would be a Force that variys had to worry about , as they were nothing but small obstacles .

Few Days After , They Made it To Closer To The Boarder , It Was an Empty Old Town With No Sign Of Any Human Life , aside from a couple of Animal going by .

Variys Got down from his Horse And Started Looking Around

'' Why are we here , Variys sama '' Celestine asked

'' The King Advisor said To Me Before we Left that there is no way for us to pass through the boarders , the security there is tight and the dorestian army will shoot anything on sight , if we are to get through Oseriyra on the other side , we need the help of Erz . ''

'' Erz , Who is That ?! '' Cana Asked

'' I'm guessing is that Guy '' Variys stated Pointing at someone Coming From The Corner of an abandoned House , He Was a Dwarf , Wearing all Black Old Scarf , A Hoodie Covering His Face and a long wooden staff .

The Girls Were Uncontrollably Alerted as he made his way walking slowly towards them . Aside From Variys who was calm during this encounter .

Erz suddenly Stopped as he faced Variys . then Took Of The Hoodie showing his Face to everyone and started observing them .

'' Are You Erz ? '' Variys asked

'' where you expecting someone else '' he replied impertinently

'' I 'am guessing that you are Variys ''

'' yeah ''

'' I thought you would be much taller ''

'' sorry to Disappointed you '' variys responded before thinking to himself ' although I' am not sure you're the one to talk '

Just as variys thought about that , swiftly Heaved his staff and hitting Variys in the Leg so hard that he couldn't hold his scream .

'' are you okay variys sama ''

'' why the hell did you do that !! '' Celestine asked

'' Because he was thinking about how short I was , am I right ''

'' no , I wasn't '' variys denied , just then Erz Hit him once again in the other leg . still with immense force and speed

'' Fuck !!'' he shouted

'' don't you dare lie to me , I can tell . '' he stated .

After everyone calmed down Erz Asked again .

'' where is the Priestess ''

'' in the carriage , why is that ''

'' because we would be taking the tunnels next , you didn't think that you will just pass through the boarders like you are a Dorestian Adventurer did you ''

'' of course not , I just thought … ''

'' don't think , let me do all the thinking , the people back at the palace explained to me your situation , just follow after me and you will be in Oseriya Before you even Know it , but before that , we need to take care of the most important thing ''

'' yeah , here you go '' variys stated as he reached for a bag in his waist and handed it over to Erz who stared at it for a moment then weighted it .

'' it's not a heavy as I it should ''

'' that's because it's only half , you will get the second half when we reach Dorestia ''

'' you're smart and careful , i like that , now then let's start , it should take few hours to reach Dorestia '' Erz Replied while variys headed for the carriage and asked Arestia to get out .

'' where are we going next , Variys san ''

'' apparently we will be going through the tunnels next in order to reach Oseriyra , the horses can't pass , we would have to leave them here . ''

'' can we trust him . ''

'' the advisor himself said that he is the only one who can get us through , don't worry in case anything happen I will make sure to protect you '' variys stated carelessly , but Arestia took his word with a much higher weight as she blushed and turned her gaze away .

'' let's go , we don't want to waste more time '' Erz Stated as everyone followed after him . going down the tunnels , they could Stare in bewilderment as they passed through under the boarders , it was dark and the only source of light there was the Flames that Erz Lighted up earlier . soon after they reached the end of the tunnels , still going underground , but they were now met with a vast Open Space leaving them almost speechless

'' Amazing it's like a whole other Town Under here '' Naomi Stated

'' It's hard to believe that we are underground with all of this Massive Field around us '' cana replied

'' are you sure that it's safe here '' variys asked as he walked behind Erz

'' yeah , this used to be a bunker during the First War , but was evicted as it was becoming dangerous to be here , more risky than the war itself ''

'' what if Dorestian soldiers found out about us going through these tunnels '' he asked again

'' they won't , they are too scared ''

'' scared , of what ! '' Naomi wondered

'' Magelan ! '' Erz Coldly Stated

'' Magelan ?! '' They Uttered

'' yeah , it's a monster that appeared out of nowhere during the first war , it killed almost anyone who stepped foot in these tunnels , whether they were Men , Soldiers & even Children ,''

'' Naomi One sama '' Celestine uttered as she got closer to her sister To Feel Safe

'' don't worry about it much Cele , the First War was Like hundreds of years ago , I'am sure that monster is long gone by now '' Cana Stated

'' I wouldn't be so sure if I were you , it still exists , lurking around this underground Tunnels , waiting for his next prey . ''

'' and you didn't think of mentioning this to us earlier huh , that there is a Hundred years old monster who probably haven't had anything to eat to year . ''

'' I didn't think of you as such a Scared Man Variys san , They Said that you were the most powerful Adventurer for this job , ''

'' I am , I just don't like surprises that's all ''

'' don't worry , the monster have been living around here for so many Decades it messed up his Vision , he can't see anymore , not to mention that these tunnels go along away almost across both Countries , so we should be safe as long as we don't make so much noise ''

As he stated that everyone quieted all of a sudden , they didn't even want for their breathing to make a noise . the only sound that could be heard was their little footsteps as they made their way through the underground town ,

Soon after It was clear that the girls felt tired , after all they have been walking for hours .

'' I think we should leave them some time to rest , they have been walking for some time and I don't like to push over them '' variys said

'' Yeah , it's a good idea , we only have few minutes until we reach the surface again but we don't know what's waiting for us at the forest , let's take break '' Erz Replied

The Girls Let Go if their luggage to catch a breath with Arestia Sitting Against a pillar as Cana Went to check for her . Naomi also Sat Down to ease her feet . while Celestine was more eager to learn about this place so she started checking some Items That were dropped by that place , items that have been made hundreds of years ago , which she seem curious about .

While variys went to Erz side to ask him some questions about this underworld .

'' you sure knows your place around this place huh '' he asked

'' if I wasn't , you wouldn't ask me for this job ''

'' yeah I guess you have a point , but still , it's sad that this place went to waste , seeing the different Pieces of Old History scattered around this place ''

'' that's what war do to places variys san , and it's always the innocents who suffer from the consequences ''

'' do you think there will be an we one as everyone else ''

'' whether it will happen or not , I will do as I always do at wars , not taking sides and focus only on my survival , that's how I managed to reach this age . ''

' Damn , he is really old ,' variys thought to himself , followed by Erz Striking his right foot using the wooden staff . variys painfully moved away from the sudden hit '' what was that for ! '' he asked

'' no I didn't '' variys once again denied , only to be hit with another one in his left foot while Erz Stated '' I told you not to lie , I can tell ''

Soon after They decided to keep going with their Trip ,Arestia , Cana and Naomi all got ready and picked up their stuff , While variys turned to Celestine who was going through some old items , still curious about all the wonderful things people owned hundreds of years ago ,

'' Cele , it's time to go ! '' he stated

'' EEEh Already , I really want to see more of this place , the stuff in here are really interesting , and could be of some worth to us '' she said as she held into an Old Antique . While looking at variys . '' that's not our mission remember , we should travel as light as we can '' he said

'' hay , hay '' she stated still looking at him while holding the Antique , until she felt a tingle in her Arm , as she looked back , Celestine found out to her horror , that it was a Frighten Looking spider Making His Way Through her arm , with its Appendages clinging to her .

Celestine couldn't hold her act together and Uncontrollably shouted as hard as she could putting Everyone on Alert .

Her Scream Reverbed Across The Underground Corners , passing by the Town abandoned room , then a large Old Church , then a series of tunnels , making its way through the darkest place of the region , until it reached the Creature who is considered as the Devil Of That Place , he was Growling is his sleep , but the shouting of the Young Girl Snapped him instantly as he opened his eyes in immediate rage .

Back with variys , Naomi ran towards Celestine asking her what's wrong . '' Cele , What happened are you okay ''

'' a spider one sama , a giant spider was creeping on me !! '' she replied

'' a spider you say . ''

'' didn't I tell you to keep your voice down '' Erz Stated but it was too late as the next thing they could all hear away the Loud Shaking Roar of the Creature rumbling the underground town

'' what the hell was that '' Cana asked

'' Magelan '' Erz Coldly Stated '' we have to run now ''

Followed that statement , everyone held their stuff and ran towards the exit of the tunnels as fast as they can while the monster kept getting closer and closer making his way to them .

'' hurry up , it's not long before we reach the exit , '' Erz Said once again while running

'' variys sama , I'm sorry , it's my fault ! '' Celestine stated realizing the mistake she made .

'' don't worry about it , just keep running , In case anything happen , I will fight him '' as variys said that he looked back to see the Pitch Dark tunnels thinking that he might have a chance to fight this Monster , unit suddenly The Wall Gets shattered into pieces , it was the Monster Making his way Through the rumbles destroying everything in its way , and that was when variys saw it , A Giant 8 Foot Long Lizard Like Looking Beats , his skin was Dark - Grey and His Jawline Was Massive it can Devour a whole Elephant , he only Had two Long Claws sticking Out from His Body , and he used them to jump from a corner to the other , his eyes were shut covered by a layer of Soft Skin . and his Loud squealing Growl shook the tunnels .

Variys immediately Thought about his statement of fighting the monster , realizing that this is not some normal Sea Beast , this is a Hundred Years Old Predator

'' what's happen variys sama '' Celestine asked

'' just keep going , and don't look back '' as soon as he said that Celestine looked back to the terrifying monster follows after them with drools in his mouth

'' I'm sorry variys sama , I just looked back , I'm sorry '' she shouted as she kept running , almost passing everyone

The team hardly made their way through the underground corners with Erz Shouting

'' Quick , We Are Almost There , He Can't Go Outside because of the light , so if we can get to the sun light , we will be safe ''

'' you say that but that thing is fast , too damn fast '' Naomi stated as she stared back to find Magelan still running behind them Demolishing everything in its way .

'' Everyone just keep going forward !! '' Variys said as he slowed down then turned to face the monster

'' What are you Doing , Variys Sama '' Celestine asked as she kept running

'' I'm Going to show him Who is the Real Predator Here !! '' he stated before making A Large Circle Enchantment

'' Fire Magic : Great Fire Of Destruction !! '' He Shouted Unleashing a tremendous Flame Wave Burning Through everything in its way , Even Lightening up the Giant Magelan as he didn't even try to avoid it .

'' How about this you stupid lizard !! '' he said , but he would soon have to eat those words as the Monster Got out from the flames still attached , the blazing heat only made him angrier as he growled louder . Celestine shouted once again in fear

'' what happened variys sama , I thought you said you was going to take him down ''

'' shut up , can't you see that he is the real predator her , my attack only made him angrier , run! Run ! '' Variys shouted .

'' Erz San , You Said We would Be safe in the presence of a light , am I right '' Arestia asked

'' yeah , the time he spent here in the dark made him sensitive to the sun light , he can't stand it '' he replied .

'' then in that case …. '' Arestia uttered as she stopped running and let everyone get pass her .

'' what are you doing , keep running '' cana yelled for her , but she didn't , instead she held her hands together as is she was praying while closing her eye

'' this isn't time for prayers , priestess !! '' variys said as everyone stopped to convince her to run. But once again she wasn't about to do so , instead she made a Magic circle under her feet.

'' Holly Magic , Devine Esoteric Flux ! '' she Whispered in the Dark , while the monster Jumped to take on his first Prey .

'' Priestess !! '' variys yelled as he too ran towards her trying to protect her , but was suddenly stopped by The Immense Magic Light That Out bursted from Arestia , The Light Was So Bright It could be seen across the whole abandoned town , blinding everyone all together , including the giant Magelan who couldn't even stand his ground , this was his mightiest weakness , a light so bright he started banging his head and tail across the walls in pain and disturbance , Everyone tried to cover their eyes , but variys managed to take a peek at Arestia , she was like an angel , Light Covered her whole Body as she held her Ground Calmly .

'' That's … Holly Magic !! '' Cana uttered

'' did anyone knew she can do that !! '' Celestine asked .

'' is that , the Light Of …. Appolo Sama … '' Erz Whispered to himself .

'' this might take him down ! '' Variys thought to himself with a smile , until suddenly , the Light From Within Arestia snapped , leaving nothing but Shreds of small Light-Flakes Falling down on her Surprised Face then disappearing while she stared in bewilderment to the dark .

'' Shit ! '' was the only thing that variys could say after seeing their light of hope extinguish .

And the Monster was more than satisfied with the lights gone , as now he once again is in full control , and he is furious about how this little creature tried to Tame Him . he Growled and squealed Louder as he Blindly Attacked Arestia which couldn't even move a finger from Shock .

The Massive drooling Mouth of the Monster could have been the last thing she saw before her death , if not For Variys who With Great Reflexes and Fast Of Thought Chanted '' Tempest !! '' as he Blasted one of the Side Giant Pillar in which the Monster was Right Under , it also Helped that the Pillar was Hundreds of years Long , so it was As sturdy as it used to be , causing it to fall directly on Magelan's Thick Neck , impounding Him With The Ground as it completely shattered .

'' this isn't going to hold him much longer , quickly run !! '' Variys shouted giving the signal to Arestia as she started Rushing to the Light alongside the Girls with tears on her eyes for some reason , this weren't the tears of fear , these were the tears of disappointment

Soon after and Luckily the Girls Made it out the tunnels Through a small Gate and into the Light , to find themselves standing in the middle of a thick forest .

'' we made it !! '' Celestine Yelled in Content ,

'' Yeah Thank God '' Cana replied but as they were all enjoying and celebrating their Safety and escape from The beast ,

'' Wait , where is Variys and Erz '' Naomi Stated Looking around , but before they would try and call for the other two , Cana Heard someone shouting and babbling from Behind them ,

They turned swiftly not knowing what would they find , only to see it was a Bunch Of Grim Goblins who are just as surprised as the girls by the sudden encounter . it was a second of awkward silence as these two groups started at each other , until One of the Goblins Immediately Heaved his Crossbow ahead ready to shoot Down Them down ,

'' Wait , wait , Don't shoot '' Naomi Stated but the goblin wasn't having any of it as he shouted in his own language . followed by his comrades who also had their weapons up and ready

tension rose as the 4 goblins Started Mumbling and shouting between themselves , and just when it looked like things were about to escalate with one of them ready to take a shot and end their live a loud Chanting Could Be Heard

'' Thunder Bolt !! ''

Suddenly One Of The Goblins Gets Blasted With an Electric Bolt Shot by Variys as he also just Made it Out To Safety , The Remaining goblins looked at their friend dropped on the ground and before they could even react in time , Erz Joined the fight with exceeding Speed ,

Heaving his Staff Around , Clouting one of them in the Ribs sending him away , then made his way swiftly to the second one Striking Him in scruff , the last one fired an Arrow Towards Erz , But He Rapidly Jumped in the sky and with a Finishing spiral Move in the air He Slammed His Head Knocking him out instantly , leaving everyone astonished by the old man's moves .

But They Won't Celebrate yet , not before they notice another Goblin Who Just Joined the fight out of nowhere finding all his friends passed out , immediately Aiming His Crossbow at Aresita's Head , Unfortunately For Him He Was Standing Right at The Front Of The Tunnel Exit , it was only a matter of seconds Before The Monster vigorously Attacked This Goblin From The Back Snatching Him ferociously and taking him back into the Darkness , This was Like Variys Thought a Hundred Year Old Predator , and he won't give up until he have his Meal of the day Even if it means exposing himself into the light for a mere second to hunt his prey then Going Back into His Realm Growling , Leaving Everyone in shock As They All Looked around , not knowing whether to celebrate or start running once again .

Until Erz Picked up His Staff , Cleaned up His Scarf from the dust then Turned To Them and with a smirk and stating.

'' Welcome To Dorestia ! ''
