Idea #21 (Lovecraft)

This is a Lovecraftian based story that should be used in other universes.

The concept is that one of the Lovecraftian races called "the color" is sent through a crack in the dimensions to a different universe (example Smallville) and when it lands on earth, its inherent power is changed because of the new laws of a different universe. The radiation it now emits gives people in its radius access to super powers, like the kryptonite enhanced from Smallville.

This gives this new universe access to people with super powers where it might not originally would have. So you can use a world with no superpowers and create "the color" as the basis for all forms of life getting some semblance of a power.

Because of the influx of people with powers the concept of superheroes and supervillains is created, and its culture spreads essentially creating a My Hero Academia scenario or you can go the route of the Inhumans from Marvel where "the color" can only effect those with specific genetic makeups.

This story has a wide variety of outcomes that you as an author can look into.
